- Ally: Heart Friends Forever (Ally Boon): During a concert on Songbird Station, you met BurgundyBear, an avid collector of Strawberry Machine Ckae paraphernalia. You chose to trade away your prized limited-eiditon release copy of the Star Sugar Heartlove!!! album in exhange for material goods (holoskin!), but more importantly you earned the heartfelt thanks of BurgundyBear. Shorty after this trade, you received a personalized thank-you message from BurgundyBear, amrking her as belonging to the Pact World's official embassy in the Veskarium. When slotting this boon, you can call upon your new friend to temporarily assign you a diplomatic attache familiar with the Veskarium. This attache knows how to speak Common and Vest. Their presence grants a +4 bonus on all check you make to influence skittermanders, vesk, or other residents of the Veskarium. This boon might have repercussions in future scenarios, which you will be told perior to slotting your boons.

- Starship: Automated Defenses (Starship Boon): You defeated one of the orbital defense platforms orbiting the planet Elytrio. The platform contained several unique, albeit technologically outdated, innovations in starship design. The most promising adaptation of the technology is its ability to deter oncoming missiles using miniature automated drones. When you slot this starship boon, once per starship combat, a science officer can reduce the speed on a single tracking weapon fired at your starship by 50% for 1 round. Declare the use of this ability when the enemy weapon is fired but before its gunnery check is attempted. Asking out of curiosity, can Envoy use Inspiring Boost on himself?

Is there any way to shift initiative around so that our team and their moves on one go? At the moment GM need to updated opponents actions and movement 3 times within one round? Can our team delay our action, to let them all move and then we would go? By doing that the fight will go smoother.

I had the same question. The language specifically says "an ally," so I don't think you can use it on yourself.

I'm fine with bundled actions (I actually much prefer them in PbP), but they can lead to lopsided combat encounters. Would you all prefer to delay and act together in the next initiative round? I can also roll all the baddies together as one in the future to help move things along, if that is preferred.

Given that I am last in the initiative order I will let others respond to the idea of delaying action.

Can you do a guarded step in difficult terrain? If no then it was a sneaky action from you Buster. Getting an attack of opportunity is impressive. I salute you ;)

We can easily resolve the issue by killing some of these thugs. ;-0

I am happy to play with Skeemo's order; he's doing the hard work. Nor will I oppose shifting the order around if the party desires that.

I will note that if it were my game, I probably would have rolled initiative for the vesk as a pair, and for Razor separately.

Face to face I would roll separately for the reasons given by Skeemo. It makes the fights more organic. For Pbp I would go therealthom route as it can slow things down a lot and slow is not good. Happy with this fight as is

You cannot take guarded steps into difficult terrain normally. You can step out of it fine I believe. Yeah, I was kind of going for a little crowd control on this first round.

I like rolling separately myself. Bundling initiatives can make things really lopsided for the winner.

On a critical hit, you reroll everything a second time, adding all modifiers a second time. I believe that includes that extra damage from overcharge and supercharge.

If the above is the case, then I believe that Mustachio should get 2 more dmg. As his critical was calculate using formula 2d12+2. And I assume that 2 is str modifier from basic attack by Vesk. So it should be +4 on crit, right?

Yes, as my operative players love to articulate in my local games: on crtis, everything doubles in Starfinder. The vesk's normal damage is 1d12+1, so the damage listed is the total crit damage.

It is a fun simplification that they made to Starfinder. Do you ever get to tell them that they don't automatically get Trick Attack damage when they flank? I've had to a few times

No, they're pretty up to date on that stuff. All 4 of my local players have operatives as their 701s (lots of min-maxers who thought the op was OP), so they know the operative rules quite well.

Is the door to my southeast open? Also, the next door to the east? I may have to "run away!" but only if the doors are open. Somehow I find myself 1 v 1 on this thing.

If you didn't open those doors, it'll take a move action to open them. The eastern door is already open.
