As Pangea pummels the demon it feels a wave of healing... and, for a second, its eyes pop open wide: Am I syphoning its lifeblood away?, before realizing this was help from Shoo!
"Oh? Thank you!"

The demon may have been immune to fire. It may even have been resistant to many attacks. But the sheer power behind Pangea's fists was just too much, and the large creature topples, fragmenting into mist as it does so.
The nearby Jinsul let out a collective moan of horror!

Pangea pumps its fist: "This is for the Scoured Stars!"
And Pangea is also very relieved that the demon and the Jinsul missed just before...

Great... This demon is down. The planet will be more hospitable for now on.
Medrick |
Your fiend has been defeated and there is a path of unconscious and dead of your kind in this location. Halt your efforts to stop us now to end this meaningless bloodshed! Medrick looks hopeful that the enemies here will give up but keeps his gun at the ready if they do not surrender. Readying an action to fire if they are still hostile.
static arc rifle (EAC, Yellow): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (15) + 8 = 23
damage (Electric, Nonlethal): 1d12 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9
Pangea-Kappa |
Pangea mutters: "This bloodshed is not totally meaningless... if it means we get out of here with our freed brethren!"

The onrushing hoard of Jinsul continue to menacing the platform. However with the captured team of Starfinders now armed you are able to hold them off at the various choke points - mostly.
To the south a small group breaths in, but Pangea explodes, sending legs flying. When the northern stairs are about to be overwhelmed Dusty and M'Shak provide pin-point fire to kill the leaders, and give even the blood thirty crowd a pause to think.
Several thaumaturgical assaults are brutally quashed before they can get underway by LIBRE and Shoo, and Medrik seems to be everywhere at the same time.
Finally as the smoke of the fires grows stronger there is a momentary lull. Jadnura takes the opportunity to land on the highest point of the platform and you usher the captives onto the gunboard. A gust of wind parts the smoke, giving the hoard, who thought you surrounded, a vision of the evacuation. The surge forward once again, but a blast of gunfire from Jadnura drives them back, just long enough for the lat of your team to tumble aboard.
Then you are in the air, leaving the Gods forsaken (or is that forsaken of gods?) planet behind.

Once you are back on the spaceship, you quickly retreat to the Drift and share what you have learned.
Luwazi and Jadnura document everything the PCs tell them about the jinsuls, the Tear they received from the Scoured Stars, and the “deathless leaders” who broke it open to steal the divine energies inside. The First Seekers take particular interest in you reports about Kadrical’s herald, Dhurus, who Jadnura realizes was responsible for organizing the jinsul military and whipping the jinsuls into their fervor over returning to the Scoured Stars. The Starfinder Society inadvertently opened the route for the jinsuls to reclaim their lost world, and now Luwazi fears that Dhurus is planning to forcibly relocate the other Scoured Stars natives back to their ancestral homelands.
Mission: Success.
Secondary, complete three of: Two clues with ever skill check during the investigation (yes); all clues associated with one or more skills (yes); escape the hoard (chase scene) without anyone captured (yes); earn two forms of assistance from Ekkerah (only one I think); ensure all captive Starfinders survive (yes). Secondary condition met!
