The magic Maddie weaved to help her allies is tugged along even further, and she grasps the threads of mana, twisting them and reversing their effect, reappearing as time outside the bubble of her friends seems to slow even more.

As the group gets ready, they watch the flesh reforming. This spectacle is both new and familiar to you, can sinspawn really reform like this?. Some of the creatures turn back to familiar shapes, while others take a more gruesome spider like form - an oversized, eight-legged monstrosity stares ravenously from its three beady eyes, its gaping maw dripping with green venom.
The sinspawn rush forward, while the spider creatures spit their webs at the group.

"Heads up! Watch out for those webs!" Remy calls as she twirls away from the sticky projectiles.
Assuming Flik makes the Knowledge check, which is likely:

Remy Tomovici |

Remy turns her attention to the smaller shriezyx!

Start with red, then move on to blue if red falls.

Borgol Ashblade |

Sorry I added it and apparently previewed instead of posting.
Fort: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (10) + 10 = 20

Flik Gnilleps |

Flik searches his memory for any clue as to what might stop the queen's healing.
He'll use Lore Master to Take 20 for a 31 Knowledge check.

![]() |

Flik realises that they need fire to stop the fast healing which the queen has active. However, that will be difficult, seeing as she has resist energy fire also on as an active spell. You will need to deal a lot of fire damage in one big blow to bypass this.
@Borgol, it's all good. Did you want to make your swings as well? You have two turns worth of actions left. :)

Maddie Elthis |

Maddie, feeling that this battle is worth the effort, casts a powerful spell on Remy, doubling the monk's size, then switches tactics and meshes her magics together, the blue and green combining into a vivid turquoise and exploding out from where she floats, creating massive amounts of cracks in the space around the queen.
Where the cracks touch the floor, inky, strange tentacles stretch out from beyond time, grasping the spider queen and one of its underlings, engulfing the hall behind the monsters as well.
Casting Enlarge Person on Remy, then casting Black Tentacles where noted on the map. Black Tentacles break invisibility, as well. Enlarge should take effect starting with this round.
Grapple: 1d20 + 7 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 7 + 5 = 21

Fergus Ironbeard |

While the queen is still down, Fergus will go after the blue Shriezyx
Fort Save DC 15: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (9) + 11 = 20

Damage Haste: 1d12 + 5 - 2 ⇒ (5) + 5 - 2 = 8

Remy's blows are not enough to take out the spider, but the ethereal tentacles from Maddie's spell deal the last little bit of damage to know the red creature over. Fergus turns around and lands three strikes on the one behind him, while Borgol finish off his one, and helps eliminate the one harassing the paladin.
The queen's wounds are still healing.
Round 11, how do you want to stop the queen from fast healing?

Flik Gnilleps |

Does it have a clear head? Maybe we can smother it.

![]() |

Yep, it has a clear head. Haha, go for it!

Remy Tomovici |

At Flik's urging, Remy takes off her cloak and wraps it around the shriezyx queen's head, holding it tightly to cut off her flow of oxygen. She makes sure the others keep stabbing the creature's body occasionally to keep it from regenerating fully and waits until it expires from aspyhxiation.

With a final flash of red, the walls stop vibrating and the endless droning around you is no more. The flesh from the three waves of creatures seems to disappear into nothingness, as if it was never there.
Azlanists' voice echoes all around you. "Well done, emerge, my soldiers, and accept your reward!" In Thassilonian, of course.
A single runestone appears, floating in the air four feet off the ground in the middle of the room. A circular stone etched with the
seven-armed sigil of the Abyss.
Check the slides for an image of the runestone.
If a chaotic evil outsider eats an Abyssal runestone, the runestone is destroyed and the outsider permanently gains the advanced creature template. A creature that already has this template, or is above CR 20 in power, gains no benefit from eating an Abyssal runestone.
Abyssal runestones may have several other uses as components in rituals and powerful magic, particularly in quickening the effects of afflictions associated with the Abyss.

Remy Tomovici |

Remy grimaces at the morbid means of dispatching her foe. Fortunately, Maddie's enchantments keep her cloak from being befouled, and she shakes it out before donning it once more.
The monk cautiously reaches out and takes the runestone from the air. "This is it. We'll be able to reach Thybidos now. I think that pool portal in the previous room leads to him. We could go there now, or explore the rest of this level first. There's still the wizard door and the other portcullis we bypassed. Or, if the rest of you need to recharge your magic, we could try to find a safe place to rest."
