I will be traveling home for many many hours today. Please bot me as needed!

Is there an app that would let me edit the map on my iPad? I rarely have a chance to post from a desktop during the day, but on my iPad I can’t edit it in Safari or Google Drive, and can’t open it in Docs or Slides.

![]() |

That's odd, Google slides works perfectly for me for my android devices and work iPhone.
With this map? Usually it works fine, but this map doesn’t show up in Slides at all for me.

![]() |

@GM? I think the blue drake is up.

![]() |

GM is out of town for work until Thursday. I know they expected to be able to post from the road. Must be busier than expected.

![]() |

Thanks, I must have missed that. It happens.

![]() |

No, it's not you. I saw it posted in a different campaign we're in together.

![]() |

No problem - I know how that goes. I hope things calm down for you!

![]() |

BTW, I think the reason your apple device is not working on the map is beacuse I am using Google Draw instead of Google Slides. Not sure why that matters, but I asked, and it seems to.
I will try to get the map moved to the other format when I am back at the homestead this weekend.
Oh, of course - I think I had that problem a couple of years ago in the first PbP game I played in. If you have time to migrate it, that’s great, thank you. If it’s too much trouble, I’ll work around it.

I'm attending a PowWow today. I won't have a chance to post until tomorrow.
Thanks!

![]() |

Whatever happened to Valtyra?

![]() |

Sorry for the lack of posts. Both of my kids are sick. I'm not sure if I'll have a chance to post tomorrow.

Ugh - hope they get better soon. My wife and our two kids spent the last two weeks (including most of spring break) trading a nasty cold back and forth.

DM DoctorEvil |

The time has come to report all OUtpost sessions, even though we are not quite yet done with the scenario.
Please roll for a boon. A 19-20 wins something, and you can follow that up with a d4 if lucky enough to win. If you are a winner, I will need your email address for boon delivery.
Thanks for playing, and I hope to finish up in good order.
PS: If you haven't rolled by tomorrow night, I will roll for you, so the reporting can go down. Thanks!

Boon: 1d20 ⇒ 3

Dang it, Brayne! Tell your dead butler to stop messing with everybody’s dice!

GM DoctorEvil - I just started using the Season 10 faction card for Garduk, please note on my chronicle that Garduk completed the "Participate in a magical or occult ritual during the course of an adventure" faction goal for Dark Archive. Thanks!

![]() |

I already received the boon!

Hey GM, quick ruling question. (Figure I should ask while Kulga's briefly not grappled)
How do you rule it if a Grappling creature gets bull rushed? There doesn't seem to be any sort of specific official ruling on this, so it's pretty GM-discretion-y

DM DoctorEvil |

wow, that's a good question. I haven't done any research, but my first thought: if you are bull-rushing the one controlling the grapple, I would have htem make another CMD check, and if they hold on, they drag the grappled character along with. If you are bull-rushing the one not in control of the grapple, the grappler has the option to hold on or let go.
Thoughts about that?

DM DoctorEvil |

Please note that I will be having house guests in starting tomorrow evening through Monday night for graduation. (My daughter's). AS such, I will be very unlikely to post much in the interim, as I will be playing host instead. I may be able to sneak in a post or two, but it's possibly courting disaster with my overlord...See you after.

![]() |

Sounds reasonable enough :-)

![]() |

I am on a roadtrip with my brother. I will post again tonight.

![]() |

My apologies, all - family obligations on Monday and an unexpectedly long travel day for work today. I’ll get caught up and be ready to post later tonight, otherwise first thing tomorrow morning.

Yippee-ky-yay!

Coup de Grace
In this instance, with a ravenously hungry and murderous undead, and a paralyzed PC within easy, unimpeded reach, the right thing for the GM to do is order a coup de grace. That would, be an automatic hit at critical damage with the added effect of Fort save at DC 10+ damage dealt or die.
For the mohrg, his slam is 2d8+5, so that would crit out to 4d8+10 or an average roll of 20+10 = DC 30 Fort or die. That seems supremely dangerous for a 6th level Pathfinder that has likely been years in getting to this point.
I want to be sure that everyone understands and is ok with that action before it commences. I could be talked into another route before the die is cast. You are playing up, and have been a player down.
I assume Brayne has enough PP to get brought back to life if he dies here, but killing off a long-time PC is a hard thing, even for the GM.
Any opinions/thoughts here?

![]() |

So I'm not opposed to a coup de grace where the critter doesn't have other reasonable options, so I guess the only thing I'd even wonder about is if it has either some means of healing itself, or of climbing/flying/tongue-lashing out of the pit since Brayne's been presumably removed as a threat?
Just speaking from a self-preservation standpoint those at least would seem like other possible paths.

![]() |

Isn’t the archon in reach of the mohrg’s tongue attack? Wouldn’t another target floating in reach give it something else to focus on for a round?

![]() |
4 people marked this as a favorite. |

Brayne has enough PP for raise dead and not resurrection, spent a lot on retraining.
I understand the risk of being a Pathfinder, and building something that's somewhat specialized. Also as a GM I typically stick hard to the combat tactics of monsters, so if that's what it calls for, go for it...
I won't have any hard feelings about it but obviously i'll be really sad about it! Might eat a whole tub of ben and jerrys lol.

DM DoctorEvil |

Thanks for your comments and consideration. I greatly appreciate Brayne's grace in accepting what might be his fate.
In looking for other options, I stopped and re-read the tactics block for the mohrg in the text, which says If it successfully paralyzes a PC, it temporarily loses interest in that PC, preferring to make full attacks on other opponents"
That seems contrary to the monster description of the mohrg, but I will run it as written, and, unless the whole party gets paralyzed, Brayne probably lives to fight another day.

I sent the player a PM and put the token out. Not sure what happened to her(him). She dropped off sometime during the investigation with Theodorus. Player is in one of my other campaigns and active, so not sure what's up.
did we ever figure out what happened to our sixth? Out of curiosity.

Kulga, have you got evasion? Asking for a friend.
