I don't know that Ironwhip will move up with that crab there to attack. Then again it is pretty pathetic and worth ignoring.

@Deluge ok. how long is the fog up again?
It's a 10 minute/level spell, though I think I will be dispelling it pretty soon once the grunts are all down.

Deluge heals Grog before moving forward into the fog.
Deluge’s Crab finishes off the dying orange dwarf, and moves to the brown dwarf.
Daereon transforms his magic into more healing power focused on Grog.
Now fully healed, Grog vocalizes his thanks.
Tanbaru’s eye flicker open and he turns invisible.
Ironwhip chuckles ”Big bad pathfinders are hiding in the fog? That’s fine you can die there!” He conjures another deadly rain of rocks from a second Stone Call spell.

Deluge dispels the fog as a standard action, the crab moves up, and Deluge moves up a bit too.

Yen Jinsa takes a moment to bolster his health with magic.

Grog moves up behind the druid.
Bot: Roan directs the flaming sphere into Ironwhip again, as he uses his wand to heal Daereon.
Ironwhip fails to dodge the flaming sphere this time getting burned for his lack of attention.
Invisible Tanbaru flies up into the air.
Ironwhip chuckles at the crab, ”You expect to defeat me with a crab?. His warhammer comes down on the crab crushing it under a mighty blow. Raw crab meat and shell splatters out, then vanishes as the summoning magic dissipates.
Ironwhip moves forward gliding through the earth and stone as if they were water, ignoring the stone littered terrain.
Becoming visible, Tanbaru takes an attack of opportunity on the dwarf as he moves away. The bite hits, but is only a scratch.

Yen moves forward and stabs the Ironwhip.
Grog steps up to the dark dwarf and whips his great axe around striking the Ironwhip with an unbelievable hard blow that decapitates Ironwhip killing him!
*** Combat is Over ***
After taking a moment to let the victory sink in you can see what looks like an office to the north beyond an iron bar door and to the south two iron bar doors appear to be cells.
You find on the headless corpse of Ironwhip a key that opens all the iron bar doors in this room.
In the office, you see a gleaming, solid, ovoid piece of metal with four cylindrical indentations and strange, fluid engravings that rests on top of a long stone table. This piece of metal is a fragment of the Sky Key.
In the cells to the south, you see gaunt wayang is manacled to the wall inside this dingy prison cell, suspended over a pile of dirty straw. The other prison cell is empty.
As you approach the cell a weak voice calls out in accented common ”Please remove the manacles and free me.”
Freeing the prisoner he tells you “Thank you, thank you, I cannot thank you enough for defeating that horrible man. He sent a raiding party to my village to capture and enslave. He and that Mueritt force us to work day and night until we are too tired and weak. They say if we don’t keep up, they will sacrifice us to their god. So many people have already been taken away, and they never return. I collapsed and woke up here, chained to the wall.”

Deluge is not exactly indifferent to the plight of the slaves, but nor is he concerned. If another PC pursues this line and he is asked his opinion...
"Do we need the key any longer? I really don't see any reason we can't give it to him, do you?"
GM Glyn |
With their leader defeated, the duergar focus on defending their stronghold against further intrusion, and do no pursue the Pathfinders as they leave Slave Mountain, The duergar fortify their position and threaten violence against any residents of the tapestry who provide succor the Pathfinder Society.
When the PCs return to the Grand Lodge, they find Aram Zey staring at the tapestry, deep in thought. The Master of Spells asks the PCs to give a quick summary of their discoveries and any other important information that they learned on their adventure inside the Hao Jin Tapestry. When they finish their report, Aram Zey says the following. “The transformation of Naldak’s descendants into duergar was an unexpected and unfortunate development. However, what matters is that you recovered another piece of the Sky Key. You successfully completed your mission.”
The Master of Spells returns his attention to the tapestry. After a few moments, he barks, “Why are you still standing around? Do you want an award for doing your jobs?”
In the following days, the Grand Lodge buzzes with excitement over their discovery of another piece of the Sky Key. The story of the PC’s deeds grows out of proportion, and several junior Pathfinder agents ask the PCs to tell tales of how they defeated thousands of duergar without sustaining a single scratch.
This completes the mission. Thanks for playing! I’ve enjoyed GMing for the group. I’m impressed by how the group decided not to rest and carry on.
