See if it's in your campaign tab now. And please add your info on slide two and a token on slide 1. Also, what buffs, if any, do you have active when you arrive in the dungeon?
At this point we are just waiting for you to check in. Thanks.

here i am...this site has too many bugs...
A Taldan man comes around the corner, clearly a practitioner of the rondelero swordfighting style popular in Taldor.
Hi...I'm Mykel...I was told you guys were down here and needed a hand...apologies...my summons got sent to the wrong place...

Just as the pathfinders are getting used to the mysterious disappearance of doughty Dolgar and the equally mysterious appearance of Onjatan and Araga, they are joined by yet another new companion, brave Mykel Therinor. Whatever powerful magical effect has trapped them in the Tomb of Yarrix, it is apparently not more powerful than the vagaries of plot development. Be that as it may, the pathfinders decide not to waste any further time contemplating such meta-mysteries and they head through the secret door to see what awaits...
Mykel, If you had any buffs (spells, items, class abilities, etc.) that you would have activated when you first entered the dungeon, please have 8 (!) hours elapse from their duration due to a magical trap that you would have triggered entering the dungeon. If this causes them to expire and you have the ability to reactivate them before this next encounter occurs, feel free to do so, posting to that effect in your first post.
The group passes through the secret door into a new chamber. The walls of this room are carefully smoothed into strange, organic curves, and then rounded in disturbing folds like the contours of a brain. The floor is carved in small channels, like ripples in sand. The room feels cold.
As the pathfinders enter, three creatures are disgorged from the walls and move forward with obvious hostile intent!
Yanda: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17 +4 from Heightened Awareness
Shiva: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11
Onjatan: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 1 = 17
Jeydahvu: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21
Mykel: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (20) + 9 = 29
Brown: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
Green and Cyan: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (11) + 0 = 11
Onjatan, no need to roll init for Araga separately - they just go on your initiative.
Regarding the Brown creature, an eerie green glow shines through the seams of this mechanical creature’s armor. It seems quite a bit like the two constructs that (some of) the group already defeated back in the entrance hall. Like those creatures, this one is also coated in some sort of brown substance.
Regarding the Green and Cyan creatures, wrapped from head to toe in ancient strips of moldering linen, these humanoids move with a shuffling gait. They are moaning in ancient speech and repeating something similar to the chant heard in the combustion chamber (the previous encounter). Their wrappings are interlaced with both black silk spider thread and faded red-brown thread once dyed with blood.
Mummies are created through a rather lengthy and gruesome embalming process, during which all of the body’s major organs are removed and replaced with dried herbs and flowers. After this process, the flesh is anointed with sacred oils and wrapped in purified linens. The creator then finishes the ritual with a create undead spell.
Although most mummies are created merely as guardians and remain loyal to their charge until their destruction, certain powerful mummies have much more free will.
As soon as the pathfinders see these monstrous creatures they all feel the tickle of despair, as they realize that they will likely never escape from this dread tomb and that they too will likely become creatures such as these!
I need TWO Will saves (fear, mind-affecting) from each of you.
I'll move the action forward after resolving the Will saves first.

Araga recalls that the construct is an emerald automaton (much like the ones that (others in the group) fought back in the entry hall) and that the other creatures are mummies. And Shiva also recognizes the automaton.
Araga can ask one question (for each), and Shiva one about the automaton, from the list here. The way I do knowledge checks is: hit the DC you can read the spoiler (and for ease of play, everyone can read it - it's assumed that you relay the information there) and for every 5 by which you beat the DC you can ask one question from the list.
Yanda is paralyzed with fear!

Oh. Oh, is she the one with the lore in this group? Oh no.

He delays until after Shiva acts and then attacks the emerald automaton.
The spirit wisps that Shiva calls forth around her companions do not appear to have any effect They only affect living creatures
Jey is able to do plenty of damage all by himself though perhaps not quite as much as expected to Green. His follow through Cleave however, connects fully and even manages to destroy the Brown Mold clinging to the automaton.
The damage to Brown causes sparks and flashes of electricity to fly forth...

Shiva once again calls forth her bardic song to aid the effectiveness of her friends' weapons, and also speeds them all up. She doesn't recall any particular special attacks possessed by emerald automatons.

Anyone want them?"

Still...better than nothing... Mykel says as he hones his blade's edge after hitting the automaton.
I'll take them...if we have to take refuge and spend some time her, at least they can be useful...

Where to next? There is a door to the south in this chamber. Another unexplored door at the north end of the combustion chamber. Two unexplored doors back in the time dilation trap. And of course the locked door at the other end of the map that you were unable to open.

The group takes a few minutes to get themselves ready and then they advance forward through the door to the south. Although Onjatan can only hear a vague sense of - perhaps - slithering beyond the door, Araga easily senses many many tremors in the room, though she cannot discern what their source might be.
This chamber has no floor, only walls and an open pit below. The black and slightly oily walls are riddled with small holes just large enough to fit a hand or arm into—but creatures that resemble eels with leathery wings are nesting in them. There are vast numbers of them and they are slithering and flapping about; they do not appear to show any interest in the pathfinders at the doorway.
A small landing and a door lie on the opposite side of the pit at the same level. The ceiling of the chamber appears to be about 40' above. It is impossible to discern how far down the pit goes, or, indeed, if it has any bottom at all...

"They were probably brought here as pets."
Onjatan
|
Onjatan steps forwards, testing whether the flying eels would attack on their own. He also prods the wall, testing his connection with the underlying stonework.
Checking whether it feels like his Earth Climb talent would hold him, with the "oily" walls. Climb speed and T10 of 26 on applicable surfaces.
| GM Abraham |
Onjatan feels confident that his climbing ability will enable him to climb the walls without great difficulty. In addition, he notes that the entire surface is pock marked with the winged eels' nest holes which will make excellent handholds for any of his comrades who lack his climbing abilities. Climb check will be required for anyone without a Climb speed but not a very difficult one.

|
"I . c a n . c l i m b" Onjatan offers. "B u r r o w s , f o o t h o l d s .."
Gripping the wall for security, Onjatan leans over the edge and looks into the pit, then checks the ceiling.
T10 Perception (+2 vs stonework): 10 + 16 = 26
60' darkvision - can he see the bottom of the pit? If not, use basic pyrokinesis to light a pebble up and drop it down.
Firewarden Yanda
|
Considering her recent luck, Yanda holds back at first. She contemplates using her spider climb potion or her fly extract, wondering whether there might be an anti magic thing going on over the pit. She would if she were using a pit as a barrier, well, if she could which she could not.
To test her theory she casts detect magic, then holds holds her potion of invisibility over the pit to see if the enchantment fades.

I don't like this, but I have an idea...
It gets a little tight in the timing, but would I be able to use Solid Note to create stepping stones to avoid climbing the walls?

Onjatan doesn't see anything in the pit aside from even more flying eel-things - they seem to be everywhere.
He rings the doorbell lights up a pebble and drops it into the pit. "Fool of a Took." It disappears from view and he does not hear it hit the bottom. If there is a bottom.
Yanda experiments to see if there is some kind of anti-magic effect in the pit. If there is she cannot discern it. However she senses magic emanating from the pit itself. To save some time - of an unspecified variety.
Mykel prepares a rope for climbing.
All of these activities take a bit of time. Jey, Shield and Prot Evil have expired.

I'm not sure I understand. It looks like it only creates one note so how could you use it to cross the pit? I guess you could use it to attach a rope to try to swing across?

Not seeing anything, Onjatan pulls out a rope and pitons, and belays himself with just enough slack to reach the other side.

When everyone is safely behind him, he calls upon a rain of stones to clear the eels.

Jey summons a barrage of stones. Poor little winged eel pets are splattered everywhere - moral theorists may one day debate how evil this was - but for now the pathfinders simply note a few things. First, many - MANY - of the small creatures are bludgeoned to a pulp and fall into the pit, no longer able to fly, or do anything. Second, many others retreat further into their nests, screeching with alarm and outrage. If the pathfinders didn't have their attention before, that situation has certainly been rectified. Third, the stones that fall into the pit do not appear to hit the bottom - or at least if they do, no sound or indication of it is heard. The remainder of the area, however, is now difficult terrain (i.e. everywhere in the spell template on the map that is not in the pit is now difficult terrain)..
Finally, after a few moments, there is a rain of stones and dead flying eels that descends from the ceiling above the pit and falls towards the bottom. It too makes no sound of impact.
