Matheus and Edril: Everything is ok!
Jiao Feng: You do not get evasion as a weapon adept, since it is swapped by way of the weapon master. Could you break down your skills for me? You should have 8 skill points +4 background. It appears you have more than that and I could not find your background skills.
Darrien: Why +12 hp? Also, revise your skills. You should have 4 skill points and 4 background, but there is no background skills in your sheet, only regular ones. Please revise.
All: The ball is with you... I need some input before moving forward.

Yup will do once I'm at home. Possibly made some mistakes, since I made that on the fly from mobile phone.
Forgot that evasion come at 9th level. I'll also clean up the skills. I admit I'm not that clear on background skills, but will find out.
Darrien Rose Rossberg
+12hp because I got this one mixed up with another game where we got full HD. Should be +8.
Also, taking +1 skill point instead of hp, so 3 normal skills this level. Forgot to state that, apologies.
Swap know. Dungeoneering with know. History, and appraise.
娇风 Jiao Feng
Can i have Lore Worldwound for everything demons and worldwound?
Except for 1 point in linguistics the skill i have as background skills don't make much sense else.
Else it's updated now. Linguistics, Lore*2 and Profession Soldier are the 4 background skills.
Darrien Rose Rossberg
Actually, swap appraise with proffession (cook/chef)
Ivanna Coșovei il Mithrahir
Between packing tonight, traveling, and doing con related things, I will be busy with GenCon from now until Sunday. I don't expect to be caught up to speed until Monday or Tuesday.
If any of y'all will be playing organized play at GenCon and want to meet up, send me a PM! I enjoy the tables much more when playing with a friend.
I will continue to read posts through the RSS feed and may drop in for a post, but please bot me whenever it becomes necessary.
--
With that said, I still eagerly await my introduction and probably won't be able to resist getting a post in. But no promises--my GenCon schedule is usually pretty packed.
GM Toothy
@Darrien: On your Myth-weavers sheet, you have Climb, K. Dungeoneering, Perception and Survival as trained skills. You also need to pick two of them and swap for background skills.
Perhaps lvl1: Perception 1, Survival 1; K. History 1, Craft (cook) 1
lvl2: Climb 1, Intimidate 1, Swim 1; K. History 2, Craft (cook) 2
Jiao Feng: The Lore skill is much more narrow than that. Even picking the Worldwound region or Demons would be too broad.
The Worldwound has 5 regions: Frostmire (northwest, close to the Realm of the Mammoth Lords), Riftshadow (central, along the Sarkorian River), Sarkorian Steppe (west, close to Hold of Belkzen and Ustalav), Stonewilds (north) and The Wounded Lands (east, whole border with Mendev). You can pick ONLY ONE of the regions with Lore, but I'll tell you that this AP will take you only to the Wounded Lands.
If however you wish to use Lore on demons, you need to pick an specific kind of demon (Balor, Marilith, and so forth). However, I'll let the bonus stack: at first level, you take Lore (Demons-Babau) +4; at second level, you take Lore (Demons-Hezrou) +4... but will make Lore (Demons-Babau/Hezrou) +5. Fair?
GM Toothy
If you wish to shop:
NEATHHOLM

MARKETPLACE

Minor Items +1 arrows (8), +1 buckler, ring of protection +1, earth elemental gem
Matheus Critchton
Looking at the loot I'm not sure we really have anything to sell as selling off curative potions seems like a bad idea.
On that basis, that also Matheus can find some small sized equipment and things work out to be base costs.
Backpack, mess kit, shaving kit, reinforced tunic, heavy wooden shield, 2 rations.
Leaves Matheus under a gold, although we should make sure we have more food. Perhaps he can skip the shield for another weeks food.
娇风 Jiao Feng
Do we have the gold to shop? More AC sounds really nice somehow.
@GM: That sounds fair.
I'll take 1 point for Lore Wounded Lands then and start with Lore demons babau for level 2.
I'll have to see how that interacts with the plans i made for the Demon Hunter - Demonologist - Demonic Nemesis - Creature Focus Demon feats i planned, because a lot of that gives either knowledge planes or other boni on knowledge checks with demons.
Could we just say that works on the lore checks then?
Would be awesome and somehow fitting the monk theme i think.
Darrien Rose Rossberg
Sounds fine. Though I think know. Geography would be better than another know. In history, just so I can at least attempt checks above 10.
Finja of Aaramor
Ah, I wanted to respond earlier, apologies. I had read the post, but had no time to write a post then, and then no new posts came and i forgot there was an update..figured people were still adjusting for the level-up.
娇风 Jiao Feng
Well i'm finished and posted some time ago, waiting for more input there.
GM Toothy
Guys, I believe we need some decision regarding loot. Sadly, I have too much in my mind to also figure out which one of you have taken whatever you find. So far, you have taken some stuff, but I'm not keeping track of who did it.
I'm also not sure if you have ever written anything on your sheets about these items. I'd really appreciate if any of you could take the mantle of a treasurer... otherwise, aside from losing an item here and there, you'll also lose opportunities. As an example, there is an item you already found that could give you some reward, but I believe you forgot entirely about it...
Darrien Rose Rossberg
Here is a link to a google sheet for loot.
I'll make it so anyone can edit it, and will try to add what I remember we have gained up to this point.
娇风 Jiao Feng
I'll be traveling with limited access for a couple of days.
Finja of Aaramor
Just to say it: There is a loot link in GM's status line.
Based on that - it seems I miscalculated my load?
In which case I would kindly request to upgrade with the masterwork backpack...
(I would, but it's write-protected).
@Item found that could give a reward: I was actually going through the thread again trying to figure it out - but no idea. The statue, maybe?
Alas, I think this may be one of the cases where PbP is a lot 'worse' than live games.
We started ~9 months ago, AND there is more in-character roleplay than at many gaming tables.
Even if we have a proper and up-to-date loot list, there's no guarantee anyone will remember the exact circumstances *fancygem6* or *metalstatuette2* came into our possession, or that *painting7* actually depicted the fairy godmother our host worships.
Imho, it would be great if you could help us out by streamlining/automating that a bit, or drop hints.
I think the alternative is that someone will end up using OOC knowledge to make sure we're not missing out so much that it starts hurting us.
Information retention is simply a lot worse due to the stretched time - a fast table group could certainly arrive in neatholme in one longer session. So pbp needs a coping mechanism to compensate, and I am not certain super-detailed and extensive bookkeeping will suffice.
GM Toothy
You can definitely sell the loot you have accumulated so far. However, if you wish to use the gold to buy something else, you need to do so before departing. Otherwise, simply say what you want to sell and I'll give you the gold.
Also, the items that are still unidentified, can be checked again, since Edril can do so once per day for each item.
The loot link in my statline is far from complete. Initially I had the plan to update it myself, but I've found that I have actually no time for it. I've set that sheet to "all edit mode", even if for some reason I'm having trouble to visualize it myself... perhaps my internet is just "worser" than usual.
About the item that could net you a reward, looking back I've noticed you've never found it... sorry for teasing you unnecessarily. It was in the first camp, where you fought the darkfolk, between the junk pile. Normally, when an item can be found simply by looking at something (the old 3.5 Spot skill), I'll make a check for you even if you do nothing, treating it as some sort of passive perception. On the other hand, when something requires you to actually look for something (the old 3.5 Search skill), then you actually need to give me the "I'll look in the junk pile".
Matheus Critchton
I had seen the GM link, but assumed it was a request to take over updating. Note Matheus also has spellcraft + detect magic now at level 2 so he can have a roll on each item, albeit at a lower chance than Edril.
Finja of Aaramor
By the way: I figured out part of the weight discrepancy:
The weight given applies only if you’re wearing a breastplate, light armor, or no armor. Otherwise, the locked gauntlet replaces a gauntlet you already have as part of the armor.
Finja wears Scale Mail, so those extra 5 lbs actually do not apply.
Alas, that does not cover it all.
The Kits(dungeoneering, fighters, gear maint.) would be 25+29+2 lbs, or 56, plus 3+1(holy texts and symbol), for a total of 60 lbs.
In your individual listing, it's 72 lbs in the backpack alone so the calculation of kit weights seems off. I could gladly hand one of the ropes off for someone else to carry it, though - which should be enough to get back into regular medium encumbrance. I'd still take the MW Backpack if nobody objects.
(Dungoneering adds up to 25 lbs, gear maint listed with 2)
Fighters Kit adds up to 42 lbs, but is listed with 29 lbs.
I only found this to explain it. It seems Kit weights are correct and simultaneously not correct.
Basically considered a 'package discount' to make the kits more attractive. (1 torch weighs 1 lbs, but actually it's more like 0.8 and if you buy 10 it's only 8 lbs really...)
Oh well, never was aware. That said, we can have gone through like 10 of the 12 torches, conserving lamp oil instead.
GM Toothy
@Finja: To be honest, I'm not really concerned if your total carried wait exceeds your maximum a bit... it would require a lot of bookkeeping that I'm not sure it adds too much to our game. Those calculations are more to prevent someone to simply take everything they find, adding to a ridiculous bulk.
@Matheus: From your previous fight with the maddened dwarf, you were poisoned by the spiders and took 3 Str damage. Despite being a long time ago in RL, in game time it was on the previous day. I've assumed that someone gave you long-term care while you were in Neathholm, so you now only have 1 Str damage.
@All: We forgot about the maddened dwarf! It has been so long ago that I completely forgot he was being carried as a prisoner (even if unconscious). However, it is an easy matter to address, since we can simply say that he was kept captive by the mongrels in Neathholm, so no real damage in the storyline.
娇风 Jiao Feng
Jiao Feng would have cared for mattheus!
She could also carry something I guess if needed.
Finja of Aaramor
Aye, thanks. But I was close between medium and heavy encumbrance with full gear, so I figured if I was really heavy but acting as if I only had medium, I needed to correct the situation.
Handing off one rope and using a couple torches will already take care of that.
Honestly, I just double-checked to make sure I was not accidentally cheating.
GM Toothy
The barrier provides cover? Both ways?
Yes, it works as a normal low obstacle. It provides cover to all creatures within 30 ft. of it, so everyone. An attacker can ignore the cover if he's closer to the barricade than his target.
I believe that if both creatures are at equal distance (since the attacker is not closer than his target), both get cover and neither can ignore it.
Darrien Rose Rossberg
I've come down with a bad case of the cold, hoping its not actually the flu. Posts will be limited over next few days, particularly in depth posts as I kick out this virus and try to catch up on missed class work. will try to at least come in and drop a 1-2 line post so as not to hold things up if I can. apologies for slow posting, with getting sick and the first week of my senior semester in college I haven't had the time I wanted to sit down and write out an in depth post.
GM Toothy
I've already revealed the next room to make it easier for you to move your characters, but bear in mind that the whole place is dark and you are the ones bringing the lights.
You won't be able to see much of it until one of you venture forward into the next room. When you do so, I'll make the proper description of the place.
Until Edril dismiss his spell, you'll all need a DC 10 Acrobatics check to move pass it. I've changed it so you can see where it is safe to walk without requiring a check.
Finja of Aaramor
@Jiao: Earlier combat text seems to indicate you have been hit. Is 22/22 HP still correct?
I am mostly asking because we're on a fresh day with fresh spells - Matheus or Ivanna could have decided to heal you if you are hurt, before we storm forward.
Would hate such a simple tactical mistake to cost us dearly.(plus the wounded penalties would be unnecessary)

Jiao Feng was indeed hit. She took 7 damage from a not-confirmed critical hit. The information on the header of the campaign is up to date.
Finja of Aaramor
So...do we hold position for a round and pump them full or arrows?
Their current positioning allows for our ranged characters to target them.
They'll likely take cover on the sides of the entrance next turn, but they hold the advantage of the chokepoint regardless - may as well use our ranged weaponry if they don't have any and see if we manage to even the odds - then storm next round.
That would also give Edril time to complete a summon, which could go in first and eat up AoOs...
GM Toothy
That would also give Edril time to complete a summon, which could go in first and eat up AoOs...
Just to remind you, a spell with 1-round casting time can be cast using all your three actions and thus manifest in the same round if you so choose.
Finja of Aaramor
Right, apologies.
I admittedly skipped on the casting changes under unchained economy a bit as I'll mostly be a martial with some additional abilities thrown in.
I understand we don't want to wait too long, or they may have further reinforcements coming. But blindly rushing in does not seem desirable, either(especially considering that gives them a plurality of attacks on their turn - thanks to iteratives.)
Finja of Aaramor
just a note, I wouldn't have entered, Darrien would have been quite happy to sit and wait for them to come out, or be peppered to death by ranged weaponry.
That was my original plan and why I suggested it previously.
But on checking the map again, they could have stayed in cover off to the sides, where ranged weaponry could only hit them if someone entered. And at the same time, ready actions such that anybody entering gets stabbed by 2 longspears, and everybody moving to close with one of the longspears gets attacked by those without reach - on the readied actions, with a full round of attacks subsequently.
As in, after their next round we could no longer have peppered them, and chances are they would not come out before getting further reinforcements(and maybe not even then - with no pressing matter to engage us).
So going in now seemed prudent, on the second look, to not allow them to fortify their chokepoint.
Just to explain why I rushed in, after all(which also let to your botting, I'd assume.)
GM Toothy
just a note, I wouldn't have entered, Darrien would have been quite happy to sit and wait for them to come out, or be peppered to death by ranged weaponry.
Sorry Darrien, but I just could not wait for a whole week for a post... this AP is really combat heavy and doing 1 round/week is not an option. Since I had to bot you, I needed to make a choice.
Since Finja entered the room, it appeared to me that Darrien, as a shield bearing frontliner would also follow to reinforce her position, otherwise she would be swarmed and brought down in 1-2 rounds.
Matheus Critchton
Not sure if Matheus needed to tumble because of the doorway. If he did he would most likely provoke with that roll. How did you want to handle bodyguard? Should I do pre-roll an attack on ac10 during Matheus turn each time in case it comes up? I'm also happy for a GM roll each time it does rather than slowing things down.

Yes, the tumble is needed because you can't move diagonally in the doorway. You indeed failed on that check, but you have the Chance Encounter trait which lets you re-roll an acrobatics check.
For the bodyguard, I can roll for you, but we need to stablish a clear trigger to avoid the "I would not have done that in that specific situation". So for, without Combat Reflexes, you can use Bodyguard only once/round, correct?
If you are ok, we can default to "Whenever an opponent attacks an ally close to Matheus, he'll use Bodyguard".
@Finja: Unless told otherwise, I'll resolve actions in post order, even if the initiative order are different. I've once tried to follow initiative, but in the end it only causes confusion. In your case, the healing would remove your "disabled" condition, and give you your 3 actions back.
If you wish to post (too speed things, which is nice), but wants to wait for your action to happen after another player do his/her action, just state so in your post and I'll do my best to make it happen as smoothly as possible.
Finja of Aaramor
Ok, thanks for the explanation.
I also just realized that I did not account for Ivanna's inspiration with my rolls because I was too busy to consider the options in my situation.
Apologies for the extra work, but if you could account for the inspire during resolve that would be much appreciated.
