DungeonMaster

Radaszam appears before you all.

The burly vesk doesn’t mince words. “We’ve got a situation on
our hands. I’ve been following rumors of a somewhat notorious
assassin who only recently showed up on Absalom Station. I
just heard from one of my contacts that signs point to the First
Seeker as the assassin’s next target—and if that’s the case, the
assassin will almost certainly make a move tonight.
“Now here’s the thing. I’ve got enough security here that no
one’s really in any danger; and besides, Luwazi’s no stranger
to a fight. But it’d look really bad for the Society if someone
took at shot at her in front of all these high-ups, you know
what I mean?
“On the other hand, if a team of crack Starfinders were to
investigate the rumors and unmask the assassin, we’d be able to
show that we can still hold our own and add some, oh, let’s say,
gravitas to the First Seeker’s announcement tonight. Defeat this
assassin in style, impress the investors, make yourselves look
good in the process... What do you say?”

Assuming the PCs buy into the plan, Radaszam relays the
information he has about the assassin: a particularly hard-to-trace
individual known as Triloteya traced to a rented engineering bay
in Sparks. He provides the address and urges the party to check
out the location, hoping they find enough evidence to identify the
assassin and her plans. Once they’ve checked out the space, they
can contact him via comm unit and plan their next steps.

Treasure: Prior to the PCs’ departure, Radaszam provides the
PCs with several gifts, depending on their successes during the
gala. He grudgingly notes that the gifts are a joint offering from
himself and Luwazi Elsebo. In Subtier 1–2, if the PCs influenced
at least two of the NPCs, Radaszam provides the PCs with two
screamer grenades I, a tactical arc emitter, and 1,000 credits. If the
PCs managed to influence four or more NPCs in Subtier 1–2, then
Radaszam also provides the PCs with a set of business stationwear
armor and an additional 600 credits.

"Now that sounds like something more in line with my skills and abilities. Let's make like a tree and get on out of here!"

As they approached the address that Radaszam had given them, Rastar pulled a pistol in one hand, and his hammer in another, keeping his eyes open for any sign of a sentry or other danger. He was especially concerned with a cat that was following them. It's likely that the creature was a robotic construct made to look like a cat, for security reasons.

There is no danger at the meeting or anything of interest. Heroes proceed on.

Corridor
The stained plastic door of this engineering bay is no different
from the dozens lining the grimy hallway. A glaring LED
lighting strip illuminates the address code imprinted along the
doorframe. Every few seconds, this light, along with all the
others along the corridor, flickers briefly. Though the sounds
of industry still echo through the corridors, this section clearly
sees less traffic and is currently devoid of passersby.

You are in a hallway, you can go east through the doors, or you can go south and around through the doors, both sets of doors look like they lead to the same place, which means you could split the party and flank but you don't know what is on the other side.

Zo comes next to you in person. If I get up on stage, you should be able to sneak in out of the place easily, the assassin wants to escape after detonating these things. I will put on an act, so you can disarm these bombs or sneak around the back to the assassin, while he listens to me. He won't be able to hear you disarming those bombs, I'll have the music cranked up really loud.
Ykris Once the PCs have located one or more explosives, during the first round they begin attempting to disarm
them, Ykris takes note. The parasite detaches from Jhireu and sneakily skitters over to another device, successfully disarming it by the end of the following round.
One last thing appears on your intercom If you don't want to disarm the explosives, I can send Drone spiders to handle them, Radasazm out

Heroes disarm explosives first or go after assassin first? Do both and split the party? Or only go after assassin while the drone spiders handle the explosives? You know all five explosives are in the party room up on stage, you can see them, and you the assassin is behind the stage, but there is no curtain there, you have to go through the door and walk through a hallway and bam, there he is, which takes 1 full round of doublemoving. You also know that Zo's performance will buy you four extra rounds worth of time. Not telling you how many rounds, the assassin will flee after round X+4. The bombs will explode after round X+4.

AH, well, job well done I think. And, to the victor goes the spoils. He kneels down and starts patting down the assassin for any valuables, from trinkets, too weapons, too credits. He will also give Lasksell a better look at anything that seemed to catch his eye.

[ooc]What test to disarm?[ooc]

DungeonMaster

Perception, then Engineering, you need to roll both to disarm.
You get one chance Succeed and you will all get the Honoray Spider reward, fail and you won't get this minimally useful boon.

Laksell finds no magic, though he would have detected it earlier, via the assassins disguise.
They search the assassin and he has casual stationwear, static arc pistol with 1 battery (20 charges), survival knife, mk 1 serums of healing (2), detonator, credstick with 586 credits
But the scenario is over
Zo continues singing, only this time he sings Frank Sinatra very great, he has a great singing voice and gets all the words right. It is like he did a bad voice on purpose to annoy the assassin

Disarming:
Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (17) + 8 = 25
Engineering: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (6) + 10 = 16

DungeonMaster

And Takeshi finds examines and disables the last bomb.
