Don't know how I got moved past the rocks without me moving myself, but I'll take it
Y Data Y Runs forward Counted out 24 squares, though I might be in rough terrain, so I might be moved back a little. I just need to not die and I can finally get off a magic missile

Guys, sorry for not posting. I have been slammed by RL and there are a lot of things I "meant to get to" that have gotten dropped.
Also, if you don't post, then you have no right to complain when I use you for target practice

Going under the premise of "they can only hit two of us" you rush forwards into the laser fire. Friye tries to deter the snipers with harrying fire, but her aim at that distance is very poor. Fortunately, the snipers are so amazed at your sheer effrontery that their aim is thrown off, and only Data is grazed.

Data will as a full round cast magic missile, splitting it up just in case they have spell resistance so I won't be completely useless if they do, figuring the odds of both of them not penetrating their spell resistance in the same round is slim to none.

@Impex - You are currently about 75 feet from the nearest sniper, an 125 from the other. When you say you don't have access to the maps, do you mean now, or ever?

1d8 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 27
1d8 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Everyone rushes forwards, and Data casts a spell that slams into both snipers. The one in the lead turns to line up a shot and Data feels several organic and synthetic systems flare in heat and synthetic pain as the laser blast catches him in the midriff. Te takes a hit from the other sniper, but the blast just scorches his armor without damaging flesh. Both snipers are standing now, backing away from the rushing charge, their targets somehow making it all the way up the canyon without losses. One of them stumbles, and something fall out of an open pouch at its waist.

Gamuzali moves forward, trying to gain some distance between himself and his allies, but drawing closer to the snipers. Unsure of whether he has his positioning lined up quite as he needs it, he fires his pistol at the sniper nearer to the group.
Missed the opportunity to get up a post over the weekend and don't have access to Roll20 now, so I'm going on guess work.
Move up my full 30 feet and fire with my pistol. If I can get within 10ft of one or both snipers and keep my allies out of that radius, I would use supernova.
For now, I'll stick with the pistol.

One of the snipers went down to a hail of magical missiles and gunfire. The large humainoid's fiery wings, previously folded back and out if sight, flared as it spun to the ground, then slowly flickered out. The other sniper began backpedaling, its features screwed up in a mask of frustration and worry. It fired at the nearest target, and Gamuzali flinched as the heat from the blast vaporized flesh and armor. Friye and Impex continued to close the gap to get to more effective range.

Please move Gamuzali so that he is adjacent to the remaining sniper. Please also note, since he is adjacent and has a powered up thunderstrike pulse gauntlet, he is currently threatening with the weapon, so the enemy could potentially provoke an attack of opportunity.

DM Bigrin |

1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9
The remaining sniper turns to run, her wings flaring out behind her. She is met by a fusillade of gunfire, magic, and Gamuzali's supernova. When the dust clears, the five of you are standing - bloodied but standing - and the two snipers are not.
The snipers are large humanoids, about 12 feet tall, with bulbous eyes and long, spindly limbs. On their backs were thin membraned wings that appear to have been made of pure light, though the wings disappeared when they died. Each of the creatures was wearing an extex suit of odd make, with strange hand-painted markings. They also each carried a survival knife, an energy-based sniper rifle, a grappler, and a healing serum.
All gear is large sized
These creatures are sarcesians, descendants of the same race that built the Blackmoon and other constructs of the Thousand Moons trap.
On the ground near where the final attacker stood is a datapad, still logged on. The display shows an area further east of Redspire Canyon marked with a strange insignia. The area so marked is an elevated area of Blackmoon marked as "The Roost". Judging by the scale, it is about another hour and a half's hike from where you are.

Gamuzali lets out a breath of relief and hails the others over the comms. "Alright, who else is hurt? And what in the Cycle were these guys? Some kind of Eoxian?"

![]() |

Te stands up, brushing himself off. Blood stains accentuate numerous burns and slashes on his gear. "A pain in the ass, what's what they were! Seriously, what's going on here?"
Te moves up and inspects the gear from the fallen enemy. He snatches a rifle and adds, "I've been meaning to pick one of this bad boys up. What a coincidence!" After hefting in his hands he frowns, "This is a bit bigger than I think I'd want however."
I'm 11/16.

Alright, I say we check out that body back there if we haven't already, we bring these bodies back and hide them behind the rocks, in case another group sees them, and we take a 10 minute rest. Sound like a plan? Data will pick up or drag one of the snipers back to the large rocks. And then rest.

Te scoops up one of those serums to healing to replace the one he used during the fight. After the rest, Te does his best to comfort Friye but he's not really good in these situations. "I'm sorry for your loss."
Heading back to the data pad, he points out the elevated area marked as the Roost. "I suppose this is where we are headed next. Everyone ready?"

![]() |

Gamuzali joins the others in taking a rest and is soon ready to move on. During the downtime, he helps Friye pick up any of Kitty's more important components and shares the load with her. "Don't worry, Friye," he says, "This will give you an opportunity to build Kitty back up stronger and smarter than ever!"
Back to full health after the 10 minute rest.

Friye seems to appreciate the empathy from her friends, but spends her time alone, silently weeping.
After a while, she seems to come to a decision. She stands up, wipes her face, dusts off her coveralls, and announces,
Let's get going.

DM Bigrin |

The large sarcesians were surprisingly light for their big frames, and it wasn't difficult to deposit them in the cover of the spires. While there, you investigated the remains of the security force that were deposited as part of the trap that nearly got Te. Between the damage of their murders and then the explosion, there wasn't much to investigate. The bodies were wearing the remnants of the archaeological dig security group, so these were likely the ones you had been sent to find. And, given the snipers, it looked as if you had found evidence of what was really going here.
Where to from here?

![]() |

"I wonder where these guys came from, and why they killed the security team. Guess we'll have to find our more. Let's head up to the Roost."

Sounds good.

The route to the place known as the Roost is easy enough to find, but difficult to follow. The terrain is steep and difficult, and every has to use their hands as well as their feet to scrabble up the trail in places.
Everyone make a DC13 Acrobatics check or take 3 damage from sliding and bruising falls.
About 20 feet from a ledge that appears to be the same location on the datapad as the Roost, Impex sets foot on a rock that depresses slightly. A grid of electrical current flashes from rock to rock, catching all of you in it and jolting your physical and electrical systems.

Friye, many of us took a 10 minute rest to get our SP back after the sniper fight. I know you were busy grieving Kitty, but maybe the GM would allow that as part of your rest.

I haven't been able to log in for a few days. Sorry about that
The cave leads to a decent-sized system of caverns and tunnels, some natural, but many excavated from the surrounding rock. All around you see signs of a group of about 50 or so creatures who have made a hasty departure. There are a few odd pieces of broken equipment and dropped personal items, but by and large the complex is completely abandoned.
You notice that there is a set of holorecording devices in each of the main chambers and tunnels.
