Amaya's shot goes wide, striking a nearby tree and causing the bark to disintegrate under the void bolts touch. The goatmen continue their shooting at the warriors and drudges, the one on the ground choosing to ignore Flouncy as he keeps shooting at him.

Flouncy fires again, hoping to drop one of the kobolds.

The warrior the goatman was grappling drops, the other takes a fair hit, and the rest of the parties attacks go wide. The drudges glance at each other for a moment... before deciding it wasn't worth it, and choosing to flee into the surrounding woods. The warrior yelps something at them as they flee, before looking at how he's very, very outnumbered. He's about to flee himself, when the goat charges from the side, provoking from both Aviz and Quellina as he goes, tackling the warrior and starting to grapple. The other goat lets out what sounds a lot like a sigh and glares at the party, but doesn't grab a new arrow.

After taking a swipe, Aviz doesn't feel the need to chase any that got away. He turns to the goat creatures and eyes them for a moment to see if they're going to keep attacking.

Quellina swipes at the goatman as it rushes at the kobold warrior, then notices that the drudges have fled. As the other goatman watches them warily, she drops out of her fighting stance and feels her senses returning. She lets out a heavy breath, then notices Aviz's severe wounds.

"Well you sure took a beating, huh?" She walks over to him and extends a hand. "You want me to fix those? Be no good if you dropped on us."

Yeah I don’t know what to do now. Situation is still unchanged since we cannot communicate. I’m also pretty lost since iirc we were waiting for the kobold boss to stop the hole building and they just attacked us? Goat People cannot understand us so this kinda leaves us without options which is kinda frustrating.

Alright, point taken. I'll get the ball moving.

The kobold and the goatman struggle for a bit, before the goatman manages to get him pinned. He shouts something at the other goatman, who grabs a vine and starts tying the kobold up with it. A third goatman comes out from a spot hidden in the underbrush and starts quickly talking to the other two.

The three seem to fall into an argument, the one Quellina slashed pointing at the wound on his arm from her swing. The third jabs both of them in the chest and shouts something, which seems to end the argument. They grumble and pick the still squirming kobold up, marching off. The third, new goatman, looks at the party and waves his hand to indicate that they should follow.

Quellina watches the boys start to follow the goatmen, and chuckles slightly to herself. "From shooting at us to wanting us to follow them into the woods...I feel like this could be a wonderful friendship," she said acridly, before beginning to follow as well.

Her hands tightened around the shaft of her glaive. But I'm no fool. This may be a trap, and if I'm the only one with a head still on my shoulders, so be it.

Amaya is likewise skeptical of the goatmen, but decides to follow anyway. She wasn't as worried about them as combatants and so trails the others, still cautious for attacks.


The three goatmen lead the way through the forest, the kobold shrieking and yapping away in the two's grasp as he struggles. The third goatman occasionally glances back at the party to ensure they're following, but otherwise nothing is said towards them. They pass through the forest without further incident, even though a feeling of being watched seems to come and go.

Eventually, the forest is left behind, the goatmen starting to ascend a rocky trail up into the mountain. The third one occasionally holds a rock in place, or stands on a stick to keep a trap from activating as everyone goes past. Eventually, a bend in the path reveals a small village, simple huts constructed of stacked stones and thatch hugging the side of the mountain.

A small group of goatmen have gathered at the end of the path, shouting angrily. The two goatmen carrying the kobold walk past the group and a large portion of the crowd leaves to follow them, a few staying behind to stare at the party. The third goatman who was guiding you all says a few words and shoos the onlookers away, leading you all to the largest hut, motioning for the group to enter.

Aviz gets more and more unsteady as they move forward. While the goatmen were not fierce combatants, they were competent enough, and being lead into a trap or even superior numbers could spell their deaths. He gets more and more jittery as they go deeper into the forest, his head jerking around at every noise. But once in the mountains he relaxes; here he could use air superiority if he needed it.

As they pass the traps, Aviz watches how they bypass them very carefully, doing his best to memorize the trap locations and ways of bypassing in case they need to come this way again without the aid of the goatmen.

Aviz looks to the other when they are ushered to enter. Do we have any ways to converse with these creatures? He wonders.

Flouncy likes to walk in the middle of the group. He has a 30' move speed, so he can keep up. He likes having big people to hide behind.

Friends, if they wanted to kill us, they would have done that on the mountainside, instead of bringing us all the way here to their inner sanctum. I suspect they have someone in there who can speak Common. We don't know what this is until we can communicate.

She pauses, considering. "If this does turn ugly, though, we should be ready."

She extends a hand to Aviz. "You're hurt, and I can fix you, if you want it."

She touches his arm gently, then chants under her breath. Her words have an oddly disjointed tone, like no language any of the others know.

The lightest of Aviz's wounds disappear, but the deepest remain open.

Amaya watches the goatman make a motion for them to enter, and swiftly considers the likelyhood of anything being a trap. It was likely that they could be betrayed, but equally, it could be an innocent meeting. She decides that if anything turned wrong, she could start blasting away with her void bursts should things turn problematic, and boldly strides through the entrance

The inside of the hut is simple, a few shelves along the walls holding various bowls, containers, and jars. Dried herbs hang from the roof, and a firepit rests in the center. Standing next to it, fiddling with a pot, is a white haired goatman. He looks up and blinks at the party, offering a small smile before gesturing to the furs covering the ground. "Have a seat, I'm making tea. A dryad was trimming some plants near her, and well, she didn't need them."
