Well, we're only going to be gone for one day before coming back to town. I was thinking of buying stuff, but figured it would be better to do that after our trip back so whatever reward we get for helping this person will sort of be consolidated.
That said; do we have any idea about what sort of weapons/armor/gear are in this town (not specifically items, but basically how the items are to be found)? I mean; do we assume weapons/armor/gear is at an "at cost" ratio based on the size of the town, or if we have to find specific lists of items before searching for them?

Pridon's Hearth is considered a 'small town'. Stocks of potions/alchemical concoctions are presently running very low and will take a week to craft.
The following items are available to purchase right now, before you leave for Jheri's Plantation. Please note them on your sheets.
Thorongil: 2 flasks of Alchemist's Fire. (cost with discount: 32 gp) plus the gift of one potion of barkskin (CL 3) from Count Narsus.
Letswalo: M/W Shortbow (cost with discount: 297 gp), 30 common arrows (cost with discount: 2 gp), 2 flasks of Alchemist's Fire (cost with discount: 32 gp) and 1 flask of acid (cost with discount: 8 gp). Plus the gift of one potion of barkskin (CL 3) from Count Narsus. (Please deduct 339 gp from your personal coin for your purchases.)
Nooria: 1 flask of Alchemist's Fire. (cost with discount: 16 gp). Plus the gift of one potion of barkskin (CL 3) from Count Narsus. Nooria will be carrying on her person the Bird Feather Token given to the party by Count Narsus, in case of emergency.

Thorongil, your party has already visited the blacksmithy: Northwind Smithy run by the Half-Elf, Vethorn Valgardson. He stocks all simple and martial weapons, and, carries any light and medium metal armour (up to 5,000 gp). He can craft exotic weapons or heavy armour by request, requiring 1 day for every 20 gp of the item's market cost. When your party returned to him the unopened shipment from the devastated Fort Breakthorough, he promised your party a 10% discount on all future purchases. Any non-magical supplies/gear can be purchased from Oyin's Emporium run by Mirya Oyin. She's loaned you a handy haversack, which you still have for your use, to hold all your supplies. The Halfling, Heri Lightstep, runs Heri's Conservatorium, and is the local apothecary who sells potions, poultices and other alchemical compounds and remedies. She is currently very low on supply, for she needs certain jungle plants to create her concoctions, and your party has yet to source any for her (remember she asked you to gather some on your way to Fort Breakthrough, however you guys didn't get around to doing it...).
Any more expensive, or, major magical items you wish to buy can be ordered from Eleder, the capital of Sargava, and shipped to you, but that could take months (at least 6-8 weeks after they receive your order) until the next trading ship comes to Pridon's Hearth.
Remember, your party can attempt diplomacy checks with the various merchants in Pridon's Hearth for possible, additional discounts on goods and services.

Can we attempt diplomacy checks retroactively for these purchases? Or is that for the future?
Letswalo, your main gold is the 150 gp you received from the colonists for helping save them and the 500 gp from Count Narsus for the expedition. That’s a total of 650 gp there. There may have been much smaller coin values found back at the fort, as well.
As for the diplomacy, in the past both Eira and Nooria have used diplomacy with the merchants you’ve encountered to date to get you discounts, which have been pretty good/high. So, the note was given for future purchases. Thanks! :)
