Male Tainim Sorcerer (Trueblood) 1

Daedron smiles slightly Ah not for me. I still ahve a bit to eat left and even if not there is enough running around here to eat for me so that I wouldn't need to eat your prey His teeth are showig lihtly at that as if he talked about some joke only he knew then he turns towards the butcher So?

The butcher stops and looks back to Daedron Laurel? She he looks down and sad No she doesn't have a cure against the plague. I although I. I hope she has though but last I heard was that she was missing something for a cure or so. Or is hiring people forgetting something for her there. he shrugs helplessly But what else should one do than going to her? Those clerics can't do anything at all! At least those who went to her were slightly better.

What are you guys planing on doing?

Female

Sooooo do we want to go hunt a wolf guys?

Male Half-Elf Bard 4 College of Blades HP 14/29 | AC 14 | Passive Perception 11 I Inspiration 1 |ACP 2 | TCP 2 Current Picture of Bhoors

"Let's check and see what Laurel knows. If we can help her it may save some of these folks. Dear Erastil these folks have it bad. Chances are we can hunt the wolf too."

Male Tainim Sorcerer (Trueblood) 1

Daedron looks at both bhoors If it is ingredients this Laurel is missing then the chances are good its in the woods and wolves we will also find there. NExt one I want raw. Also with her trying to stop a plague? Maybe we can get some gold out of that too he smiles lightly at that.

As you walk through the village towards where Laurel is located....or more get led to there by Bhoors you see the same everywhere inside the village still that the people are wearing quite something that can only be called rags. Also a few can be seen quite and again that are coughing. As you reach the location you see quite a long line of people lined up with most of them coughing in front of a building where the glass windows are hung full of ivy. A small shield says "Laurels" over the entry door. A few of the people are pushing forward while others push back.

Inside you can see that there are dried plants hanging everywhere from the ceiling and a strong smell of plants and herbs is inside.
A lone woman with her hair in a dot and glasses is behind a counter with a large array of shelves lined up behind her which go deeper into the building. On the shelves more plants and potions can be seen. Behind the counter also some smoke raises as if she is currently brewing a potion there. Whenever someone gets his potions and leaves she only looks up for a moment asking quite brusque "What do you want?"

Bhoors:
As you remember the people of the village are favouring going to Laurel over going to the clerics as most of those don't care for the village anyway and also because Kreed does not want the clerics in the village. You remember that Laurel was always expensive though but she was fair if someone was really sick and was not able to pay......she made that one pay it back to her as soon as was possible by doing things for her, ....

Perception 10+:
It seems like that only 1/3 of the whole line are really sick....the others their cough is different not as watery as the coughs of the rest

Perception 15+:
Those that cough differently don't even have ashen faces like the rest...they are probably not even sick at all despite them telling Laurel that they also have the plague. You see her eyes narrow every time one does that.

Perception 20+:
From what you hear of the exchange between her and the customers she is changing the prices quite rapidely. If someone only thinks he is sick without being so she raises them considerably. And for those who look quite poor she lowers them quite considerably so that they can afford it

Medicine 15+:
From what you hear her talking about how they need to take the potions and how those smell it seems to you that she is giving the customers medicaments to lower fever and reduce pain but nothing that can stop such a plague

perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 17

Bhoors leads the group across town toward the location of Laurel's shop. While walking he give a little info from memory as best he can, "Laurel is something of an institution. Kreed, the prick who represents the Lumber Consortium and pretty much all of Falcon's Hollow, doesn't like clerics in the village so most turn to Laurel she makes meds and does her best to heal folks. She is fair but a bit expensive, she knows she had a cornered market. Some folks said she'll let people work off debt. Better than letting them die I guess."

As you get close to Laurel Bhoors' face turns a bit puzzled, he looks back at the group, "If I didn't know better not all of these folks are sick."

Male Tainim Sorcerer (Trueblood) 1

Perception: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (7) + 12 = 19
Daedron is curiously looking around as they move through the town.
The town looks quite how shall I formulate it? Downtrodden? then after Bhoors comment Ah sounds like someone following at least SOME code of honor. Not like those guards at the gate and yes it seems so. Why are they here then in the line? He ponders for a moment Shall we just pass the line? I don't think I am in the mood to get sick with all the coughing into our direction. At least not without burning out the sickness he grumbles the last part.

what are you guys doing?

Male Half-Elf Bard 4 College of Blades HP 14/29 | AC 14 | Passive Perception 11 I Inspiration 1 |ACP 2 | TCP 2 Current Picture of Bhoors

Does Laurel have guards or a bouncer or are people just lining up relatively on the honor system.

Female

1d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16 Perception.

"No, no. It's obvious some are fleecing the potions probably to sell off for money."

Berry responds to the brusqueness with a broad smile. "To help. Well, they want to help. I'm mostly just restless and want something to do."

no there is no real system there. You even see ppl trying to pass others but get in line again after a few sharp glares by those they try to pass

Male Half-Elf Bard 4 College of Blades HP 14/29 | AC 14 | Passive Perception 11 I Inspiration 1 |ACP 2 | TCP 2 Current Picture of Bhoors

"She's got no bouncers we can try to push past but might start a brawl."

Male Tainim Sorcerer (Trueblood) 1

With non of them armed and us armed and also being magic users they would be quite unwise to start a brawl wouldn't they?

Male Half-Elf Bard 4 College of Blades HP 14/29 | AC 14 | Passive Perception 11 I Inspiration 1 |ACP 2 | TCP 2 Current Picture of Bhoors

Bhoors looks a little puzzled, "Yes almost as unwise as threatening unarmed folks with murder just cause you can."

Male Tainim Sorcerer (Trueblood) 1

Daedron shakes his head clearly amused That is not my point. MY point is that we are not sick but instead trying to see if SHE still needs help with battling this sickness. Now if we stay in line with the others the chances are good we catch this sickness ourselves and can't do anything any longer. So it would be wise to just pass the line and with how armed we are and what spells we can sling I dont see much fear of the locals trying to stop us do you?

Female

"Oh for gods sake you guys are killing me here." Berry pushes through the crowd and calls out over the protests. "Hey lady! Doctor lady! We heard you needed help over here! We're not sick we just came to see if you needed a hand or six!"

Male Half-Elf Bard 4 College of Blades HP 14/29 | AC 14 | Passive Perception 11 I Inspiration 1 |ACP 2 | TCP 2 Current Picture of Bhoors

Bhoors looks at Daedron, "She's the finesser. I guess." Bhoors smiles and backs a Berry's play looking at anyone in line about to object, "Its okay we work for the boss lady."

Most of the people just glare at you when you pass them only a handful try to speak up with most of those not being able to voice their oppinions thanks to coughing and the others you just ignore.

As you pass to the inside you see that teh whole shop has roots and other plants hanging from lines across the whole shop. The smell of plants is quite strong in here. The line of people stretches until a wooden counter behind which small plumes of smoke can be seen from small fires where plants are being burnt. A lone human woman with grey hear and glasses in wide clothes can be seen behind the counter just listening to another customer (an elder woman whose clothes are not so bad as those of the others) who coughs and coughes and whom she gives a few plants in a package. Behind her long rows of shelves can be seen with even more plants.

As you push through the crowd she does not even look up "And what do you need of me?" she asks quite tired and also a bit agitated.

perception 15+:
From what you heard out from the shards of the conversation it seems like that customer was really sick telling her symptom after symptom. Somehow it seemed to agitate her quite a lot especially when the customer began to glare at the other customers. The woman behind the counter had a greedy smile as she took in 1 gold for the plants the woman got

perception 15+ medicine 15+:

From what you heard from the conversation it is pretty clear to you
that the woman can't have all those symptoms as they are from 5 different sicknesses and even more so half of them would be deadly within the hour. Also the plants she got as you smell them in her passing....that is only tea!

Female

1d20 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11

"The question is pretty lady what do you need of us?" BErry says beaming.

"What do you?" the woman stops herself from speaking any further when she takes a good look at the group "Oh you are here for the job offer aren't you?" she looks at everyone of the group for a while before nodding to herself "Follow me please" she says while stepping back showing that you shall follow her and walking towards the back of the shop passing a few shelves.

She waits for a few moments before asking you in an even tone "So tell me what brings you to think you are able to help me in curing the plague and what do you know about the blackscour taint?"

sry had quite a stressfull week with overwork and catastrophes :/

Male Half-Elf Bard 4 College of Blades HP 14/29 | AC 14 | Passive Perception 11 I Inspiration 1 |ACP 2 | TCP 2 Current Picture of Bhoors

Glad to see you back in action I hope you have not further catastrophes.

Bhoors follows and listens. He does not have a great answer to the question so he waits.

Blackscour taint is a deadly sickness that is caused by blackscour which is a fungus. Blackscour is a hard bitter sharp fungus that likes water and infects you with blackscour taint when you drink that water. Never heard of that fungus growing in these parts though.

She sighs
Now as it is a sickness there is some cure. Not the ones I have tried so far as it seems. My grandmother had an additional recept that could work. Some of the ingredients I have but some rare ones I have not as they are from inside the forest..

She pauses for a moment
And honestly the forest is too dangerous for me and most people with the wolves graypelt and werewolves running around. So the question would be......would you be able to go into the forest and survive there for days to come back with the ingredients?
