The dog is from the pound. She was abandoned by the local interstate. Vet guesses she's about a year old. She's a mutt, almost pure white, ice-blue eyes so she's got some husky. I see German shepard in her ears and body lines. Some people have guessed bull terrier is in there too. There's a squareness to her face.
Our current joke is that she's the best looking member of our family. People on the street will just say she's beautiful.
As sweet-tempered a dog as I've ever owned, but she needs a lot of exercise, and walking isn't enough.

It's nothing major - although the APG has a fighter variant I could use, I'm already set on course with Emerion anyway. There's one feat I can see that I'd want but I need to get my other features in place before I go there, so it's several levels away.
Furious Focus (Combat)
Even in the midst of fierce and furious blows, you can find focus in the carnage and your seemingly wild blows strike home.
Prerequisites: Str 13, Power Attack, base attack bonus +1.
Benefit: When you are wielding a two-handed weapon or a one-handed weapon with two hands, and using the Power Attack feat, you do not suffer Power Attack’s penalty on melee attack rolls on the first attack you make each turn. You still suffer the penalty on any additional attacks, including attacks of opportunity.

The swim fin question.
From Wellard's original query:
Swim Fins (1sp for a pair), Source Adventurer's Armory p13 - Swim fins add 10 feet to your swimming speed but reduce your base speed to 5 feet. Donning or doffing swim fins requires 5 rounds.
I thought about adding a +2 to swim checks with them on. It makes sense to me. It could be the cheapest skill bonus ever, but how often do you get to use them? 10' seemed a little fast, but 5 is too slow. So ya. Anyone have anything against a swim bonus?

Yes. Yes, he is... :-)
I have one on Monday, in fact. And after that, another one before November. And then, December...
Eesh.
Carry on without me. I'll pop in as I can. But, in addition to my freelance deadlines, my day job is also slamming me pretty hard right now, too. It's our fiscal year-end and everyone's trying to cram in everything that didn't manage to wrap up during the rest of the year. And that would include me... :-(

The price of success. Good luck, Neil.
And the fruits of your labors.
Congratulations, Neil. Well done.

Actually thus far Emerion hasn't done too badly as a front-rank fighter. Deadly Defence has really paid for itself so far, giving him some extended hitting power he'd otherwise lack. Combat Expertise gives him a good AC ... I'd say this 'clever, quick & skilful' fighter concept is working pretty well!

You know, when Heather's original player laid out her Dickensianly overly connected back-story I was way sceptical. But, Wellard, I've got to say I really like the Heather-Sabrina flashbacks.
As indeed, I enjoy reading all of your posts. You guys keep this game fresh.

Yes, it's good the way she works it in, isn't it?
I'll have to put in a few flashbacks of my own at some point ... can't have Wellard get away with all the fun!

Everyone, now that there are so many games going on the boards, our thread can drop off page 1 pretty easily, especially since I'm posting one per day or so. (Which will unfortunately continue Monday and Tuesday next week.) Please check page two. We might be waiting for you.

WOrk continuess brutaly. I'll be on reduced posting for a couple days.
Speaking of reduced posting, Neil Spicer! Are you going to be super busy this month judging and advising and what not? Shall we ever see Akorian again? (Just wondering. Your choice. I've got a week of red herrings for the rest of the party before the play starts.

Billzabub. Are you still playing Keliwyn?
Hi, Wicht! I was going to go to bed early, but it seems a lot of my PbP friends are on right now. Is your whole family going to try Superstar again?
I think I'll give it a pass this year. Too much other stuff going on.

Not only is RPG Superstar going to tie me down, but I've got my Carrion Crown vampire-themed adventure kicking my butt. I just got some feedback from Rob and they want to change some things in my outline. So, I'm now further behind than I thought I was. So, unlikely to hear much substantive from me until January or thereabouts...though I'll pop in now and then, of course.

That's cool. To some degree I envy you. I put my boy right off gaming with one really awful DMing decision.
Can you spill the beans before my four-year-old gets interested?
I have an idea for Superstar but design creativity is proving to be a bit of a weak spot. However not entering last year, felt like a mistake during the competition. Its only 200 words after all.
Good luck with the Christmas writing Neil. And 2 kids. And a job. Impressive.
Cheers
