Upon laying eyes on the man, Tresca and Tanselle have no doubt that this is a Teppish. Grench Teppish is the spitting image of his twin brother, all the way down to his choice of weapon. The man crosses the room, taking shelter behind the crates and barrels to tend to his wound. He barks some sort of strange language and the small blue creatures move to see their opponents. They move slowly and deliberately to do as they are ordered, gesturing and uttering some incantation at Tresca and Grimaldus, but the both shake off the effects easily.

"Tanselle, can you get a good shot on that man from here?" Tresca whispers to her companion as she draws a pair of phials from the pouch at her hip. She had a good clean shot at the one creature, with no allies close enough to be hit. She was going to take her shot while the getting was good.

"You have one chance, Teppish." Tresca announces as she swiftly mixes and re-corks the phials, "Stand down now, and we will show mercy. Resist, and we will have no choice but to deal with you swiftly and severely." Talking so rarely worked when it came to people like these. But perhaps identifying the man by name might serve to unnerve him.

The half elf throws the bomb as soon as she feels it heat up, aiming squarely at the blue creature right across from her.

Standard Action: Throw bomb at the closest blue creature. Point blank range, +1 to hit and damage
Bomb - to Hit: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19
Bomb - Damage: 1d6 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11

As the phial soars through the air well on target, Tresca gives a quick warning. "Cover your ears guys!" she manages, plugging her own ears as her bomb goes off with a flash and a loud bang!. She couldn't help but smile. She had made some potent catalyst this morning, that was for sure!

You really need me to say it? As Slips would say... smurfs go boom. I don't generally provide a mid turn update, and I'm trying not to move one group ahead of the others. =P

As the smoke clears, both of the small creatures are down. They do not look quite the same as the derro though.

Knowledge(Nature) DC 15:
These creatures are not derro, they are mites. A rather nasty and pathetic type of underground dwelling fey.

Tresca gives a sympathetic wince as the boys get hit by the channeling. Grim looked like he more or less shrugged it off, but Raul looked quite a bit worse for wear. She didn't like that he was so far away - it would take some serious sprinting to reach him going around the sewers if he fell and needed healing.

The alchemist looks at the sewer water in front of her with a look of trepidation. "Oh the things I do for the lodge..." she mutters to herself, before stepping off the ledge for a more direct route through the sewage.

Full Round Action: Swim 10 ft (how does climbing back out of the water next round work?)

swim check: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (8) - 2 = 6
FAILED CHECK - failed by 4, so Tresca stays afloat, but makes no progress. (I'm assuming calm water, DC 10 swim check?) Maaaaybe trying to take a shortcut was a bad idea.

In theory, Tresca knew how to swim. She'd never done it with a full compliment of equipment before though. As soon as she went into the sewer water though, she realized her mistake. With the weight of her crossbow and alchemical gear, it took all her strength just to stay afloat. Despite her best efforts to reach the other side, all she managed to do was tread water.

Tresca steps off the edge of the sewer canal and falls nearly 5 feet before splashing down into the sewage below, and realizes at once that she has made a mistake. Fortunately it is heavily diluted by the recent rains. Unfortunately, the excess run off has made the undercurrent swift, and as she fumbles to move toward the other side, she finds she is swept back west the direction you came from. A flailing hand scrapes the wall and she realizes the canal has recessed ladders in the form of carved grooves. A quick look around reveals that these ladders appear on both sides, spaced about 10 feet apart, but she can feel they are slick with muck. Every round Tresca is in the water, she will be swept 5 feet to the west. She needs a DC-12 Acrobatics check to successfully climb out. Indicated the positions of the ladders on the map with arrows.

Grimaldus moves in and lunges with his greatsword, throwing his shoulder into the attack. He deeply wounds the cleric, but the maniac still stands.

He cocks his head again and steps back carefully, glaring at Grimaldus, his face twisting into a horrible countenance as he utters a guttural incantation. Grim is gripped by the intense urge to flee from this place as fast as he can. Grimaldus is frightened for 1 round!

To check, is the moving water still considered calm? (DC 10) or is it rough? (DC 15) If it's rough, Tresca fails her swim check by 5, and goes underwater. If it's considered calm though:

Somehow, Tresca manages to struggle her way to the opposite ladder, where she reaches out and grasps at a rung.

Standard Action: Acrobatics check to climb out
Acrobatics Check: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18

Tanselle notices that the crate Grimaldus inspects is marked with an "X" marked in red paint, though it is a more subtle marking than she has seen before.

The door at the top of the stairs is 10 feet wide and leads to a large hidden closet in a storage warehouse above—that closet has rope and block and tackle for lowering the crates and barrels down into this room. listen, we aren't going to let you die down here in the sewers that isn't our way and frankly you don't deserve such an easy way out. but refusing to help us only complicates your situation more. When we turn you over to the authorities they will ask us what happened. You will be prosecuted and shipped away forgotten about for several years. You sir can help your situation greatly tell us what you know about the sewers and where we can find the fabled jet rat.if you help us the courts will be more forgiving of some of these transgressions and will be considered during sentencing. The decision is yours, choose wisely sir.... diplomacy: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23

Once the man is stabilized, Tresca runs to grab her pack from the corridors, digging her rope back out as she returns. Crouching by Teppish, she swiftly ties his hands behind his back before attempting to get him awake for Raul's questioning.

She nods as Raul speaks, his words sounding very convincing. She decides to add her own two cents in to help support his statement.

"I patched you up, Teppish, but the conditions down here aren't exactly sanitary." she points out, "You need better healing than what I could give down here. We can provide that better healing, but you have to help us first. Information."

I have no problems with Grim taking the flail. I'm not even sure Tresca could lift a heavy flail, let alone use one
