The half-elf raises an eyebrow at Kurse's antics with the little blue men, but then again in their short time together she had already learned not to be surprised by anything the oracle got up to.

"Any of you know anything of this Groetus he speaks of," she asks of her companions.

Tresca nods. "Sounds like as good a plan as any to me" the alchemist agrees to Tanselle, "I'm not overly worried about the threats of Groteus. The name doesn't strike me as familliar, mind you, but these cult types are all the same. All blood and fire and brimstone and soul eating. Nothing's eaten mine yet, and Groteus' clerics aren't tough enough to make me worried this time around."

As she speaks, Tresca grabs some of the rope from the storage closet, and uses it to tie the cleric up more securely, taking her own, costlier rope back when she's done. "Grim? You wanna help with knocking this one back out?" she asks

Raul watches as the cleric sneers at the group, smiling every slightly as he is knocked back unconscious. Ok i suggest we pile his body underneath some of these crates so no one that comes out that door will see him asleep. I'd also consider gagging him. Raul looks for any scrap that could be used to gag the cleric, once he finds something adequate he will walk up to Tresca.Here use this to clean yourself up a bit Once she has done so or refuses he sticks the damp cloth in Teppish's mouth tying it snugly around his head. Raul will check all the knots and after Grimaldus' word he will scout ahead

Grim moves the crate with the mark into the pie of other crates and hides it under one or two others. He then looks at each of his companions to verify they are done here in this room. When all have nodded, he will turn to Raul and say, "Good job finding these characters and letting us set up our attack. Let's see what else you can find for us."

Once the cleric is again sufficiently subdued, the blue creatures move away, carefully backing away. But Kurse notices they do not go far, lingering near and still watching what you do.
Groetus knowledge Check.

Raul moves silently south out of the room and west, back toward the junction you came from and crosses the board-bridges, passing by another dark alcove where the stench overpowers his senses. The foul waters swirl and dark forms bob in the water like some cresting aquatic beasts. A second look with the aid of his light reveal them to be pieces of floating garbage collected here. In the middle of trash floats three well-dressed, bloated corpses, their skin purple and splotchy and their bodies floating face down.

By the manner of dress, he guesses they were probably more prominent Taldan citizens, though they would likely be difficult to identify now.

Tresca gives what assistance she can to Grim, taking great care not to fall in the water as she did so. One time being swept downstream by sewage was one time too many, after all. Tresca's mouth was set in a troubled line as she worked, her bravado from a few minutes ago vanished. Sometimes, it was easy to forget that lives were often on the line with Pathfinder work.

As she pulls one of the bodies close, she takes a moment to look for signs of injury, disease, and any other indication to how these people died. Were these people killed during an escape attempt? Or were they simply disposed of after wasting away as captives?

After gleaning what information she can, she speaks to the others in a low whisper. "I think it would be wise for us to press on, Raul scouting ahead as per usual. If they start to wonder why their cleric hasn't returned, our element of surprise may be lost."

Raul nods at the request and heads deeper still into the labyrinth of tunnels, looking both ways he will make his way cautiously to the next intersection. If no threats appear he will motion the party to move up and will move further. preception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13

Tresca easily identifies the cause of death, as each of the bodies has had their throat cut from ear to ear. Their wrists bear marks of struggling roughly against their bonds.

Raul moves further south until he detects the glow of torch light ahead, around a corner. The blue creatures travel parallel to your group, and begin to wave for you to follow them, making shushing gestures.

I've marked the corner Raul sees light coming from. Once someone rounds the corner, I'll finish out the map. Make your stealth checks for a sneaky approach!

He then arranges the bodies to make them look like they are sleeping peacefully. He then says a quick blessing to Pharasma." Can I not sstand next to Tressca? The ssmell is sso bad that even Sslipss iss complaining."

Raul cannot see the guard, but hears the faint scuffing of restless boots on dry stone where there should be another pool of sewage water.
Someone has constructed a large dam here made of wood scraps, ship beams, broken crates, and rocks. Beyond the dam is a room that once functioned as a catch basin for the sewers but now has dry, clean floors. In the northwest corner of the room, a sewer grate is set in the floor, and a huge chalk drawing of a rat about to pounce is sketched on the floor near the dam.

The enemy has not yet noticed your approach.

"Yes, surprise is always best! This time, because of the distance from this corner to the room, I suggest you getting in a good spot, then T&T and Kurse move into position, with me coming last. I'm about as quiet as a thunderstorm. If the guard hears any of us, Raul can either start shooting or wait for the rest of us. If he's a mage, though, start shooting!!" Grim looks to the others for their thoughts.

"As good a plan as any," Tanselle says, plunging a bullet and powder into her pistol. "I'll be as quiet as I can."

Stepping lightly along the edge of the sewer walls, the gunslinger attempts to move into position without drawing the notice of the guard.

I realize that I moved Tanselle a fair distance and over a number of boards. Please feel free to adjust her movement accordingly. She will take 10 (for a 16 total) on any Acrobatics checks that she is able.

Tresca shakes her head sadly as she points out the wounds on the bodies. They were deliberately killed for one reason or another. Standing up, she makes a point of ignoring Kurse's comments about her smell. At least to Kurse. She resigns herself to muttering a few curses regarding uppity imaginary friends in Elvish, which she is fairly certain Kurse doesn't speak.

Following a short distance behind Raul, Tresca tries to remain hidden, crossbow in one hand, and attempts to draw the wand of shield with the other.

stealth: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4

Once again, the spring on the wrist-sheath misfires, and the sound of a large clatter, followed by less-than-graceful fumbling reaches the ears of those nearby as the wand smacks the nearby wall, clatters to the ground, and is hastily snatched up. A quick wave of the wand materializes an ethereal disk which floats between the alchemist and her foes.

This happens every time Tresca tries to be sneaky just before a fight. She ought to look into weaponizing that pesky wrist sheath!

Yeah, T&T won't get anywhere near that far. Stealth movement is half speed, and she needed it to move past Grim unheard. Raul needed a second check to move back into position as well, but it won't matter now!

The board bridge creaks loudly as Tanselle and Tresca move across it, and you hear the scraping sounds of a man standing up as he comes to investigate. Holding a torch, he emerges from around the corner and spots Raul. But the rogue was waiting for him, and releases his arrow, striking but merely grazing him.

Grim runs towards the room as soon as he hears Raul shoot. If the enemy had any doubt about what was about to happen, Raul's arrow and the sound of the 'Pain Train' running down the walkway removed it!

Once spotted, Tanselle rushes toward the fight as quickly as she can, taking extra care when crossing the slippery boards over the sewer water.

I wasn't sure how much crossing the boards slows Tanselle down. Can you just move her as far as she can go this round.

Kurse finds that his little blue friends respond quickly to his beckoning, moving in behind the party.
Grimaldus rumbles down the sewer-way, sounding like a team of armored recruits. The lone guard goes on the defensive, stepping back toward the grate in the floor, stomping down on it twice and whirling his quarterstaff before him to keep his attackers at bay.

Grim calls out to his party, "Expect more soon - he just signaled to others under the hatch!" As he approaches the lone man, Grim says, "Yield. You are outnumbered and flanked. We mean you no harm but will inflict it swiftly if you stand against us..."

If the man does not submit or attacks Grim, he will attack back. (Ready action: Power Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21 Damage: 2d6 + 9 ⇒ (2, 6) + 9 = 17)

Raul seeing his companions getting into position will sprint to cut off any escape that could be had by his enemy. He will take a run move moving just outside of the threat range of his enemy and if the hatch looks secure will stand on it to prevent escape for his opponent. Grim being Raul has higher int. i moved you as if i had gone first so we would be flanking as i imagine that would of been the intention. Raul loses his Dex bonus for this round to his AC

Raul moves in swiftly to block the grate and Grimaldus swings his greatsword in a wide arc, slicing down with incredible force and wounding the man gravely. The guard falls, bleeding from his wounds and a sharp popping sound is heard a split second before a wave of flame fans out from the grate, catching Raul in it's fiery blast. Fortunately he leaps away before he is more than slightly singed.

The guard wears a necklace of a orange-red stone, studded leather armor and carried a quarterstaff.

Tresca continues running to catch up with the guys, only to discover that the fight was already won by the time she arrived. Keeping her crossbow at the ready, she eyes the hatch suspiciously, ready to attack if something bursts out. "Your thoughts, Raul? Some sort of mechanical trap? Or more people on the way?" she asks, noting the flames that came out.

A thought occurs to Tresca. She pulls out a phial of the catalyst she used for her bombs. "What do you think of this..." Tresca holds up the phial, "Dropped in there?" she indicates the hatch. If there were people listening below the hatch, she could at least be vague so they wouldn't know exactly what was coming.

With immediate combat over with, the gunslinger empties her pistol of its powder, shaking the firearm until the lead bullet rolls into her palm. She places it back in her pouch and gives the room a good looking over.

The necklace does indeed appear carry some minor enchantment. It seems it was used to protect the guard from being targeted by the fire spell trap. The gems and materials used to make it may yet be worth something.

No reinforcements appear to be forthcoming and as you open the grate, you see a long, sturdy ladder descending into a pitch black cavern below.

Kurse tell me how bad does it look? hoping for another heal he will offer to go first and scan the area before everyone else makes their descent. Tresca maybe you and i should help down first and scan the area before the others make their way down. If you hear us yell up Grim barrel down the ladder as fast as possible. Ill try to go without being noticed. after Raul says the last part he throws his arm over nose covering his face like a vampire would do, he gives a slight chuckle and then descends into the depths below. stealth: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (20) + 8 = 28

As Tresca climbs, she takes a hand off the ladder and reaches for her pouch to reassure herself that she could reach a bomb if she needed. This action threw her ballance off slightly, and with a slightly startled squeak almost slips off, but manages to grab a hold of the rungs again.

Oh stealth check, why do you hate Tresca this adventure?

Also, I assume we poked around for at least a minute after combat, so I had Tresca's shield spell run out.
