DM Jelani |

You are an average man or woman going about their day to day lives in the sleepy town of Korostin. Lost at the back end of a great empire, nothing ever happens in Korostin. The most exciting thing you can remember was seven years ago when the town guard shot down a half dozen starving orcs that were desperate enough to try a raid on the town itself. But all that's going to change soon, and you'll need to become a hero...
What:Homebrew Horror/Zombie themed E6 Pathfinder game. More setting information on the Campaign Info Tab.
Level: 2
Ability Scores: 4d6 drop the lowest or 15 point buy
Races:Any core or featured race on d20pfsrd.com (Non humans will experience racism)
Classes:Adept*, Warrior, Expert (* Adept has been modified, see campaign info tab)
HP:Rolled, reroll less than half (ie reroll a 2 on a d6 but not a 3).
Traits:2 standard
Feats:All characters receive Hero's Fortune and Blood of Heroes for free.
Starting gold:200
Guns Everywhere: Guns are commonplace. Early firearms are seen as antiques, and advanced firearms are widespread. Firearms are simple weapons, and early firearms, advanced guns, and their ammunition are bought or crafted for 10% of the cost listed in this chapter.
A character submission should have complete statistical crunch, a background and a personality/appearance description. If you have more questions about the setting or anything else feel free to ask. Recruitment will remain open until I get four people committed enough to complete characters.

Doug OBrien |

Sounds fun to me!
Dotted with the prospect of making a gun handling tinker/gunsmith style expert.
Couple quick questions...
For feat selection are we talking about Core + APG + UC, or more or less restrictive? I'm not overly system savvy, but it's best to know what I'm working with.
For HP, just to clarify, it's roll for 1st and 2nd level, correct? Not full hit die at 1st level.
On the setting, what cultural feel are we working with, aside from firearms tech? Western Fantasy? Anything more specific?
Hope to have something up late tonight or early tomorrow.

Father Griswald |

4d6 ⇒ (6, 6, 6, 2) = 20
4d6 ⇒ (1, 6, 3, 2) = 12
4d6 ⇒ (4, 3, 1, 5) = 13
4d6 ⇒ (6, 2, 1, 4) = 13
4d6 ⇒ (6, 6, 4, 5) = 21
4d6 ⇒ (2, 2, 2, 2) = 8
So that's-
18
11
12
12
17
6
Yeah, ok. :)
1d6 ⇒ 3
1d6 ⇒ 4
Edit: Ignore 1st HD roll and reroll 6 per GM's latest post
attribute reroll: 4d6 ⇒ (6, 6, 1, 4) = 17 16
Damn. This guy's going to be a beast.

Father Griswald |

Would you allow St. Slydwell's Ward to be altered to effect undead instead of demons?
(to emulate the classic image of holding aloft a holy symbol to keep back the horde of undead)

DM Jelani |

@ Doug O Brien - First level HP maxed, as is standard. After that roll. Korostin is very much eastern european/slavic. At least all the names are and that's what I'm going for, we'll see how well I succeed.
-----------
Everyone, reroll any stat under 7 before racial modifiers. If the second roll is also sh*t I guess you have the point buy option.

DM Jelani |

Love the background by the way as well DH. Pretty much exactly what I'm looking for. Everyone, feel free to integrate yourselves into Korostin with your backstories. In fact it's better if you do. What I have down in the campaign info tab can be altered a bit to make a PC really fit in.
Hope the game goes off this time. So far we're only looking at three possible players. We'll see what happens. If I can't get enough interest now, I'll try again around halloween.

4d6 ⇒ (3, 2, 1, 4) = 10
4d6 ⇒ (6, 1, 1, 3) = 11
4d6 ⇒ (5, 6, 4, 3) = 18
4d6 ⇒ (5, 5, 6, 2) = 18
4d6 ⇒ (6, 1, 3, 2) = 12
4d6 ⇒ (2, 2, 2, 2) = 8
not sure if I am still on time. and do we take the stats in the order we roll them? I was looking more at an expert (handyman type) had been a lumberjack (with some axe proficiency (wondering if able to take a feat for broad proficiency for hand axe and battle axe--or regular two handed axe thing--for chopping trees)
once the lumber industry dried up--he took a job part time working at the the generall store, sometimes fixing things and opening locked doors. He also helps out during harvest with harvesting the fields and is part time militia.
would like to switch the stats around to
16 str (18 with +2 from human)
15 dex
12 con
11 int
10 wis
9 cha
will try to find some traits that fit in more with the handyman--general guy you ignore until you need your pool cleaned type---suggestions appreciated.
skills
acrobatics (1)
climb (1)
disable device (2)
handle animals (2)
knowledge local (1)
knowledge nature (1)
perception (2)
profession (lumberjack)(1)
survival (2)
swim (1)
hps = 8+roll 1d8 ⇒ 3plus two from favored class (got tough from working outside) plus 2 from con==8+4+2+2=16
EDIT rerolling hps 1d8 ⇒ 4
feats and equipment I will post later depending on axe proficient or not. if not axe will have a dagger, sickle and club. If axe will have an axe, sickle, dagger and club.

DM Jelani |

@ Micha - Yeah, that's right you have to remove them manually. Before racial modifiers your stats should be 9,10,14,17,11,8. You can arrange them in order you want.
Edit:As for weapon proficiency, "Weapon and Armor Proficiency: The expert is proficient in the use of all simple weapons and with light armor, but not with any type of shield." That doesn't give you access to any axes. However you could take your second level as warrior and get proficiency with everything that way. It would make sense for a militia member. Or if you don't want warrior for some reason you could take the Martial Weapon Proficiency feat to get proficiency in one type of axe. Or the Heirloom Weapon trait to gain proficiency in one specific axe.

Haldorf |

Ok will get that sorted.
Updated the Alias with a basic Background.
Working on the description now :)
Haldorf was taken in by the Dwarf when he was found collapsed on top of a pile of a coal, the Dwarf dragged him in threw a loaf of bread against his chest then set him to work. Haldorf never looked back to a life in the alleys, never thought about the Mother and Father he could have had.
The only other person he speaks to is the owner of Klaudia's General Goods. Klaudia Mikolajczak, his secret love, so secret she doesn't even know.
That is Haldorf's life and he loves it and he would do anything to defend that life. As he proved when he joined the battle against the Orc raiders, lifting the huge Greatsword from his back he chopped down at least 2 in the struggle. That Greatsword he named Bane.
Edit: I wrote Revolver when Haldorf actually uses a Pistol :P
Edit:
His hands are rough and calloused but he takes pride in his appearance making sure to clean the soot from him before ever leaving the house. Always on his back he carries his shining Greatsword and hanging at his side is a small black Pistol.
His unlined face is clean shaven and his dark hair is dragged back to form a a slight small pony tail.
Haldorf is generally kind hearted and slow to anger but when he does he is quick to draw his blade. He is honourable and strives to show his worth in everything he does.

Micha |

sounds good. wrote Bafgad in to background. More of an idol I follow around now since my father is gone. he does train me but is often to busy to notice me. I also added the carpentry--it would be like the others more of a as needed basis--but I would try to drum up business for it--always needing the money.

DM Jelani |

Since we've got multiple people using improvised weapons I'm gonna codify it a little bit.
The Book of Seven (Large Leather Bound Holy Text) One handed Improvised weapon 1d6 20x2 bludgeoning
Shovel two-handed improvised weapon 1d10 20x2 bludgeoning/slashing
Woodsaw one-handed improvised weapon 1d6 20x2 slashing
File light improvised weapon 1d4 20x2 piercing
Awl light improvised weapon 1d4 20x2 piercing
Crowbar one-handed improvised weapon 1d8 20x2 bludgeoning
@ Micha - I'll let that trait give you proficiency with a handaxe, but the other axes are weapons, not woodworking tools.

Father Griswald |

It's worth noting that in my head, Griswald's won't start with his book. It's going to be the one from the dias in the church (which he'll grab when things start getting bad). You know, the big, metal bound super ornate kind.
I envision it being bound in silver, probably a good 3 inches thick and weighing upwards of ten pounds.
I'm fine with the damage (same as a shield bash). As a 1-handed weapon it's still two-handable if I chose, which is very important.

DM Jelani |

Added this to houserules section of campaign info tab:
Alignment:Alignment is gone. For the purposes of spells that key off alignments mortals are considered nuetral. Creatures like fiends or undead would be considered evil. While a celestial would be good. Spells that key off law or chaos do not exist. Note this has the effect of making evil outsiders less distinct, falling under the general label of fiends. The same can be said of good outsiders, who are generally called celestials.

So far we've got:
Father Griswald Divine Adept 2 (Priest/Handyman)
Haldorf Warrior 2 (Smith/Militia) (In love with Klaudia)
Micha Expert 2 (Carpenter/Militia) (Kid who sees Klaudia as mom)
We're just waiting on Doug O'Brien to finish his gun nut.
@ Micha - Your HP should be 16 (8+2+4+2).
sounds good on the hand axe thanks
for hps--what all gives hps?
8 (first level)
4 (second level)
2 (favored class option)---probably not?
4 (con of 14 times 2 levels)
3 (toughness) had accidentaly added one for level 2--dont get more til 4th
so wouldn't it be 19 or 21 if there is favored class?

Yeah. It would be. Sometimes I'm an idiot. Just tell me and I'll stop being one though :P You're right, it should be 21.

Loup Blanc |

I'd also like to get in on this, if there's still room! I've wanted to be part of a zombie survival game for a while.
I'll get to work on a character and try to have it up later today.
Edit: May as well roll abilities here.
4d6 ⇒ (6, 4, 3, 2) = 15=12
4d6 ⇒ (1, 2, 4, 6) = 13=12
4d6 ⇒ (2, 1, 2, 1) = 6=5
4d6 ⇒ (6, 1, 2, 2) = 11=10
4d6 ⇒ (2, 1, 5, 4) = 12=11
4d6 ⇒ (2, 1, 1, 4) = 8=7
Reroll for the 5: 4d6 ⇒ (5, 3, 5, 5) = 18=15
So 15, 12, 12, 11, 10, 7... I'm gonna take 15-point buy.
2nd Edit: Already decided the race-class combo: elf warrior 1/ expert 1. Therefore, need to roll for that expert level's hp.
1d8 ⇒ 4 4 it is.

Variziel |

This is my submission to the game! Variziel Duskpetal, elf warrior-expert. Note that he's reworked from a submission to a Carrion Crown game, where he was a rogue; if you're checking him out and see that he has other posts, that is why. I decided that since I was thinking of an elf warrior anyway, may as well use the elf alias I have rather than create a whole new one.
