Are the guards actually watching this?

Lantern Lodge

Male

No you have been left in the cell. There are two orderlies on either side of a long row of the cells. You are to the south end. An orderly is about 10 from the cell now with a mop. The entrance to the room is 40' to the north and 10' to the west. The other 'inmates' are sleeping/minding their own business.

Seelah:
Both orderlies radiate a moderate aura of evil

It would be preferable if we could accomplish this without bringing attention to ourselves ... maybe we need to leave first, acquire the appropriate 'resources'." Seelah says, referring to the rest of the party. "This would also also us to acquire a detailed lay of the land."

"Quite" Quelion begins weaving his magic in the cell.

Although, on second thought, maybe do this a little more quietly than the Kyton. Stepping down to Summon Monster IV so I can apply Silent Spell, summoning a Hound Archon while applying my Master of Pentacles trait to extend it for an extra two rounds (It will last 13 rounds total). The next round, still applying Silenced Spell, I will cast Greater Invisibility on said archon, then on the third will apply a silenced Haste on all of us before sending it out...in case this goes horribly wrong, having Seelah and the Imp hasted already will give an edge. Before I go on...well, DeWay, you can give me whether or not the prisoners go berserk at a dog-man appearing in the cell.

The hope is that we can walk ahead ... Seelah will say something to the Alienest like "Useless, why do you even let that madman live, and why do you allow arcane devices in his cell?. She will detect evil on her, and then quickly walk out of here. Then, all heck breaks loose behind us. Thus giving us plausible denial as to being the cause.

Grand Lodge

Male Human (Cheliaxian) Sorcerer 9 / Diabolist 2

Uhm...yeah, no. Summon Monster has a rounds/level duration, and one casting alone has almost zero chance of settling this encounter. If it doesn't work we need to be in place for damage control. And we can't come back later to let him out either or we'll be just as, if not more, suspicious. Mind, we already let them see our faces and there's no real way a blind man who has been in place for years is getting out on his own, and they know damn well there are no "arcane devices" in that cell if they're even borderline competent. In the long run, our cover's already blown, it's just a question of how much of a head start we're going to get now. If we take out the guards in here without raising an alarm and get out quietly without seeing the Alienist again, we stand a chance of getting everyone together and being able to use the information before it goes out of date. The odds of pulling even that much off get worse the more we try to be clever about it.

If you really want to make sure no one can identify us as the cause, we're going to have to kill the Alienist too. Evil or not. Since I realize that's probably not an option here, we're probably just going to have to accept that we'll have to move fast on the infiltration with what we've got for info.

Hoookay, I'm ignoring descriptiveness and changing the order of rolls around a bit because we've got a lot to get to here. First, everyone will delay so the cheetahs can get into position for flanking purposes (this will leave one cheetah without a flanking opportunity - for simplicity's sake, this is Cheetah 1 and that's also the one that will take the AoO that will need to be provoked so everyone can move into position for this emulation of a swarm. First, every cheetah smites this round. Since the bite is the primary attack, it resolves first on all cheetahs. Since THAT comes with a free trip, I'm going to roll the bites first, in order, then any CMBs for trip attempts. Then all the cheetah's claws, then everyone else.

Bearing an angry scowl on her face, Seelah lowers the tip of the greatsword to the ground, raises her hand, fingers spread, palm towards herself, comments, "That ... that, is a great number of cats." and lays hands.

Quelion watches the felines tear the totenmaske to a shred silently for a moment. "More than I was expecting, I must admit. Still, it was effective. We should probably retrieve our things. This wasn't nearly as quiet as I'd hoped."

"Yes, that is was.", Seelah turns, places her hand on Tomaszes shoulder, "time to obtain your freedom ...", and begins walking towards the exit.

What is done with the cats, and the hound archon?

Well, we can probably just leave them, since they're not likely to harm anyone else and go away in a minute. The cheetahs, at least, the other option requires hanging around for almost a full minute to make sure of it, or maybe a handle animal check to try to "push" them into behaving in a manner they normally wouldn't.

The hound is invisible, maybe you could push him to heel ... we're not out of here yet."

"I sure hope Seelah, and that sorcerer are not in any danger. I believe we will need them if we choose to continue on our endeavor."

Don't worry, they seem capable of putting half the town down, but they are taking a while to get back. Should we go after them?

The Archon's intelligent, just tell him to follow, then leave, and grab our stuff on the way?
