Under the mass of tentacles comes a muffled sound "Mffgh! Agghgncj agfjcjf fhfjf!"
"Monster! You are getting down and painfully!"
Right Uppercut: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22
Damage: 1d4 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6

Xandarian Quartermain |

Watching the hentai try to leave, Xandarian remarks, "Fu<k em! Damn-as$ tentacle fu<ks! Let's limp back to the temple where I can tend to your wounds in relative fu<king peace."

Molitor Rask |

AoO: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13
Damage: 1d4 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6

Molitor Rask |

"It's better that one of them gets away .... that way he can spread our legend among the peoples of the cave calamari." Molitor says sagely.
He looks over at Marcus, shrugs, and says "Well, my legend."

Tanrov Shadow-Graxt |

arg: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9
Tanrov almost drops the Earthbreaker in his swing at the beast as it flies off....
"Yes do lets, I think I've had enough of being taught humility for one day."

Uelarik the Eldritch |

Uelarik swings at one of the beasts as it flies off.
AoO: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (19) - 1 = 18
damage: 1d3 - 1 ⇒ (3) - 1 = 2

perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 16

Kevin Hurly |

"Better to kill them all, lest they come back with more but I couldn't reach that one. We need to continue on I think. We're not doing those above any good down here. Of course if we lost we're probably safer down here."

drbuzzard |

When the GM says it might be a good idea to take advantage of a rest location, he might actually be correct.
Uelarik lands a weak blow with his dagger as it flies off.
The area is filled with statues of what appears to be crusaders . Knowledge history to get an idea of when those styles would have been in use.

Molitor Rask |

Molitor pulls his cure light wounds extract from his bandolier and drinks it.
clw: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8 "Ahhhh......that hits the spot."
"I think we should head back to the chapel and rest up. We've probably danced with evil enough for one day." he says to his companions.
"Sorry folks .... there's going to be a delay in getting you back to the surface." he says to the wounded npcs.
Then he rests his greataxe on his right shoulder at a jaunty angle and gestures back up the passage towards the chapel.

Xandarian Quartermain |

Xandarian continues to help the wounded back to the temple, to rest and recooperate.
"I've got one more cure light wounds in me. Who needs it?"

drbuzzard |

The merchant grumbles about the delay, but you are accustomed to his whining by now and ignore it.
Kevin gets a good look at the statues and realized that they must date back to the first crusade. Assuming he points it out, your blind mage NPC pipes up, saying he researched the first crusade extensively.
One of the consequences of the first crusade is that many of the crusaders were exposed to a lot of weird abyssal energies, and they started to have strangely deformed children. There was a very old rumor that those parents had migrated into caverns under Tenabres to spare their children abuse and accusations.
You are able to get back to the restored temple and get a good night's rest without disturbance.

Molitor Rask |

Molitor takes time before breakfast to prepare his strength mutagen and replace his cure light wounds extract.

Tanrov Shadow-Graxt |

Tanrov uses a cure light wounds on himself
Cure light wounds: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
"Hey Xandarian, it looks like Fisto.. I mean Marcus could use some more healing attention, i'll cast a heal on Kevin."
Cure light wounds: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8
With the rest Tanrov will go back to full HP
Then he beds down for the night and tries not to think of his awful combat prowess this day
When he wakes it's a new day and the rations are sparse, but hey at least there's magical water to drink.

Xandarian Quartermain |

Xandarian cast cure light wounds on Marcus.
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Looking up to the heavens, the cleric remarks, "You're getting better, Lord. That casting wasn't a total waste this time."

Uelarik the Eldritch |

After resting, Uelarik prepares to resume the journey through the caverns. "Let's get moving. We need to get back to the surface. I fear the worst for Kenabres."

Molitor Rask |

As we head back to the cavern of hentai and bad sculpture, Mol asks the blind mage "Did the abyssal forces make the first crusaders evil, or just weird looking like Tanrov over there?"
"Just kidding .... I know you can't see how weird Tanrov looks!"

Xandarian Quartermain |

"Just kidding .... I know you can't see how weird Tanrov looks!"
Xandarian shoots the alchemist a nasty look.
Motherfu<king half-orc! Piece of sh!t a$$hole!"Hey orcdick! Why don't you check your elixirs for anything to fight infection, instead of shapchanging into an ass!"

Tanrov Shadow-Graxt |

Tanrov doesn't quite register what was said to him due in part to shock
"Did I just get told I was weird looking by a half orc who has a penchant for embibing elixirs that grossly mutate his form further? "

Molitor Rask |

Was there any answer from the blind wizard about the level of corruption of the first crusade refugees?

Molitor Rask |

"Ok ... so not a "kill on sight" type of situation" Molitor replies back to the mage, making air quotes as he does so.
Then he realizes the mage can't see his air quotes and just shrugs.
"Hey! what's that I smell ..... is someone cooking dinner?"

Tanrov Shadow-Graxt |

Tanrov attempts to move subtly down the corridor to see what he can see about the source of the fire.
STealth: 1d20 ⇒ 17
Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12

Uelarik the Eldritch |

Uelarik loads his crossbow while he waits for Tanrov to return. He listens for any sign that the slayer is in trouble.
Perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6

drbuzzard |

1d20 ⇒ 10
Tanrov is able to sneak into the eastern chamber.
A small campfire and a well-used bedroll, along with a few utensils and tools, sits near another cave opening in the far wall of this cavern. Sitting near the fire is a disheveled dwarf who appears to be muttering to himself. Unlike most dwarves, he's not bedecked in armor.

![]() |

Marcus follows Uelarik example and loads his crossbow, preparing to advance behind Tanrov.
"Follow from a distance, chummers, we don't want more bugs or flying squid to jump on us." he says to the rest.
Soon after Marcus starts walking towards where Tanrov is standing.
Stealth: 1d20 + 2 - 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 - 2 = 18
The grumpy guard whispers to the inquisitor "I will walk closer, cover me." as he makes his way towards the muttering dwarf.
As soon as he is at twenty feet from the fire, Marcus stops and speaks out loud while he keeps his crossbow trained on the figure.
"Greetings, citizen! Identify yourself and state your bussiness here."
Readied action to shoot at him if he is hostile
Readied Action: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12

Molitor Rask |

initiative: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 1 = 21
"I'll give him something to holler about...."
Molitor steps to the side to get a clear line on the gibbering dwarf, pulls a flask of alchemist fire from his bandoleer of fun , throws it.
throw: 1d20 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 1 + 1 = 15
damage: 1d6 ⇒ 6 + next round damage: 1d6 ⇒ 4 if he doesn't put out the flames.

![]() |

Initiative: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24
Marcus growls with disappointment at the dwarf's apparent lack of stoicism.
Dropping his crossbow, the lawful servant of the lawful law charges the dwarf to lay down some righteous smacking as he yells.
"Stop offering resistance, citizen! Drop to your knees and surrender to the guard!"
Add +2 to the roll if I can charge
Right Hand Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
Damage: 1d4 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
Screw it. This guy tried to resist, Brutality Mode: ON

drbuzzard |

Moliator confirms the Dwarf's suspicions by setting him on fire, which is generally known to be frowned upon as a method of greeting in polite company.
Marcs, restrained by his respect for law and order (or clumsiness, but we'll say respect) merely waves a fist at the possible perp trying to make him tow the line.

Xandarian Quartermain |

"Gods! I guess everone goes a little crazy being so close to the Worldwound", exclaims Xandarian in exasperation. "Try to knock him out!"
With that, the cleric draws his light mace.
Initative: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8

Molitor Rask |

"Hey, the last dwarf turned into an undead monster and I had to kill it."
"and anyway, Marcus shot first."

![]() |

"It was a warning shot! We need to knock him out for further questioning!" he says to the rest before turning to the flaming dwarf "Unless he stops resisting the arrest and decides to cooperate, by Grub!"

Molitor Rask |

"He looked cold .... I was doing him a favor." Mol pouts.

Molitor Rask |

"Dirty Weezard!!!" Molitor exclaims.
he looks over at Uelarik and says "No offense"

Tanrov Shadow-Graxt |

Initiative: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 1 = 21
Tanrov will move up 30ft closer to the fellow and use studied target on him.
