The spear snakes forward as the door opens,

1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9

but the backwards step makes the spear fall far short of its mark. The spirit cackles and hops over the railing

1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10no damage

And . . . Since I seem to be the one holding up this game.... I must resign.
