I added some quotes and an ooc time break indicator in my latest post to try and make its flow more clear. Does anyone here have a preferred format for this? I thought about including spoilers for each section but wasn't sure that the length of the post called for it, and was afraid that if Filiana and Imperia continued their RP for a bit then Cawthorne's follow-up speech might be overlooked if hidden behind a spoiler tag.
Any thoughts/suggestions?

Try running five at once.
I find that hard to even imagine - that's a crazy level of dedication. I think playing in two at once would be about all I could manage, let alone running them.
I'm kind of a masochist in that regard, I think.
It's a bit lightened by the fact that I have waaaay too much free time and all this is online.
I... run 5 at once. Plus my face-to-face home campaign.
I also have two kids and two businesses.
But yeah! I get burned out from time to time, too! It's always better to take time off than to fade away.

It was a blast!
This was my 33rd or 34th time. I'm not sure. I've been going almost every year since 1980, except when Uncle Sam sent me to foreign parts or when my sons were born.
I flew out on Wednesday with one friend and got picked up at the airport by another who had driven out and with whom I'd be rooming. He's a VIG, so has a hotel room right adjacent to the convention center. We went to the Ram (a pub) on Wednesday, as is our tradition, and basked in the sea of geekdom. After that I ran a PFS game for even more old friends and we all went to bed at a startlingly reasonable time (I guess we're getting old).
I played the first two parts of Tyranny of the Winds with my low-level PFS monk on Thursday. Sagamore Hall was -really- cold and I swore I'd not come back there wearing shorts and a T-shirt again. That night I played in a pretty cool game using the Cypher System. We were the worst bumbling idiots the U.S. Air Force had to offer, exiled to an obscure testing site in remotest Alaska... where an interdimensional portal started spewing werewolves, nazis, yetis and plant monsters. :-) I also took the time to wander the mind-bogglingly immense Dealer's Hall. I didn't have anything I wanted to buy, but it is an Experience.
On Friday I played the third part of Tyranny of the Winds with my mid-level Zen Archer. Then I played a sadly boring game of The One Ring. I love (and GM) the system, but the GM was not in the spirit. Then my friends all went for our traditional feast at Buca di Beppo, where we ate ourselves into a carbohydrate stupor and then took naps. We were back in fighting trim for the PFS Special that night "Assault on Absalom". It was fun, but the GM had only received the adventure that day and so was moving fairly slowly.
On Saturday I played "Night's Black Agents" in a very fun adventure trying to stop a vampire plot to blackmail all the world's leaders. Then I played the PFS game "What Sleeps in Stone" and we suffered a TPK. Our GM didn't think we had adequately prepared. We thought the adventure was a ridiculous PC-killer. Potato, Potahto. After that I ate some of the fabulous food on offer at the many, many food trucks. That night we played in the second PFS Special "The Solstice Scar". I really recommend this adventure. I think it was the most fun I'd had at a Special. We had some fairly silly moments, but the GM ran with it. After that, we went to yet another of our food-related traditions, Saturday night at the Steak-N-Shake. This is good diner food combined with a -very- sketchy late night crowd. It's worth it just to watch GenCon's cosplayers mixing it up elbow to elbow with drunks and police and prostitutes. Even later on we went and played Battletech at the Battletech pods. One of my favorites.
On Sunday, I played Starfinder and really liked it, or least really liked "The Commencement." After that, we sort of wandered the Dealer's Hall, ate at Scotty's (everyone talks about Scotty's, but I liked the Ram better) and drove out to the airport. It's always sad leaving GenCon and watching them tear down the decorations, but there's always next year!
I applaud anyone who runs a pbp and keeps it going. I've tried running two, both of which fizzled out in fairly short order. I definitely think seeing things from the other side of the table, as it were, gave me new insight into how to be a better pbp player.
I'm running one AP PbP and two PFS PbP at the moment.
The AP almost fizzled but we're managing to keep it going. I need to be more proactive in pushing things along. I picked it up after the third or was it fourth GM left with no notice. One GM left us twice.
The PFS games are going ok. It's taking a lot more time than I thought to get the posts written up. Especially the combat posts. I'm sure I'll come up with a system of writing them faster as I get more experience.

Each casting of remove curse would cost at least 150gp (plus 30gp for each caster level Grimburrow has above above 5th). From what he said, I understand he is willing to remove the curses from the spellbook and the beads for free, but would need a donation to cleanse one of the weapons (our choice).
The Splatter Man's spellbook is worth 367gp 5sp (according to this thread), so that should cover our costs.
We don't yet know what is the curse on the Lopper's axe.
