Romon |

"Let's stash the bodies outside where the only people who can see them will be the guards in the other tower. We're going over there to -- take care of them anyway." As Romon finishes the sentence his head jerks slightly to the left.
Inwardly Romon marvels at how unaffected the others remain, and especially at Shalelu's fierce demeanor. Taking the guard tower was different from the earlier combats which were more like deadly street fights, self defense. This felt much more personal and somehow dirtier. He unconsciously rubs his hands together.
The young rogue backs out of the watchroom and descends to the roof.
Romon's not even thinking of searching the bodies. Someone else might.

DM Wellard |

ok going to move this on a bit..don't know when we will get Val back so I'll continue playing Kallie as a DMPC.
Shalelu motions to Ali Romon and Muchorak and the 4 stealth experts make their way across the rooftops towards the other tower reaching it with no alarm being raised..the elf moves iupo the stairs quietly bow in hand lifting the trap door slightly then lays a finger to her lips as she looks down at the others..geting Muchorak to come and hold the door she squirms through the narrow gap like a ferret.
Silence ensues and then the trap is opened.
"Just the two..they were asleep..permanently now"

Romon |

"Just the two..they were asleep..permanently now"
Romon shudders. She's pretty, but she's heartless. "Is there a way down into the building?"
Given opportunity Romon will try to peek inside .

DM Wellard |

Shalelu indicates a trapdoor in the roof under the towers framework.
"I presume that leads us down into the fortress.." she glances at a still agitated Ali.." but first we.. " theres an agonised squawk as the gull is hit with a stone from below and falls from the sky "... should deal with those outside the walls..make your bows ready those who have them"

Romon |

Romon doesn't like the plan. A life's worth of training and experience have taught him to keep his head down and stay out of sight. Attacking the courtyard will mean open melee with the entire goblin camp.
He shifts his feet while looking down at them. On the other hand, this sneaking and killing is too much like murder. He's never -- almost never -- hurt anyone on a job.
Romon glances at Ali. He hasn't known her long, but he knows how she must be feeling. And how she'll react if they don't attack the goblins soon. Women . They'll always find a way to get their way.
Accepting the ineveitable, he sighs and remains silent.

Romon |

Thanks for the correction , Wellard. I thought they were in the courtyard throwing rocks at the bird. Set, now aren't you glad we didn't use your sling to bind the goblin?
Romon plucks his bowstring to test its tension. He pulls an arrow from his quiver and examines it for straightness and quality of fletching Should make the first shot count. His head jerks briefly to the right. His stomach feels leaden. Again the prospect of cold-blooded killing, of murder, leaves him strangely numb. I'd never want to be an assasin.

DM Wellard |

Kallie just stares at Shalelu for a moment then seems to shake herself and nods.."Y..yes..lets deal with the..others" You know she's a little squeamish when it come to violence but that once the fighting starts she can pull it together.
You belly across the rooftop to the parapet on the other side of the compound(putting you atop area C22)..two things are noticable as you pass the courtard.Firstly there are half a dozen mangy goblin dogs padding about or sleeping in it..and secondly the door to C18 has two goblin corpses lying before it..the door is heavily boarded from the outside..ocassionally a dog sniffs at the door and there is a loud thump on it causing the dog to back off

Alisebett |

Ali nods gratefully at Shalelu for a moment with a smile, yet it vanishes the moment they hear the gulls cry, as she bears her teeth in s growl. Although she desires nothing more than to rend the flesh of the tormentors of her avian bother, she too takes out her little used sling and a stone and prepares for the ranged assault.

![]() |

23 (nat 20!) to hit, 3 damage.
12 to confirm crit, which, against a flat-footed AC, might even work!
Marak fumbles around inexpertly with his sling, but once it gets spinning appears to adapt to the weapon quickly. He chooses one of the closer targets. 50 ft increment for a sling, he'll try to stay within the first range increment.

Romon |

Wellard, was the main gate on the north side. Anyway I think we'd like to start with the goblins closest to the gate if it looks like we can get them all in one volley.
Romon creeps up to the wall and peers over the edge. He worms his way down the wall a little closer to the goblins. He mentally picks a target goblin. "I've got the second from the left," he whispers.
He readies himself, then in concert with the others, stands and fires.
1d20, 1d6=[8], [6] +5 to hit, +8 to hit if we're within 30' and I get sneak attack and point blank. (yields 13 or 16 to hit) Damage 6 or if we're point blank and I get sneak attack bonus damage is (1d6=1) 8.

Alisebett |

In rage at the Goblins, much more over the torment of the seagull than it's death, Ali stands, whirls her sling and let's fly (1d20+6=21, 1d3+1=4).

DM Wellard |

Main Gate is to the South..and Inakai the idea is to do this with stealth so I'll take it you use the bow.
You rise up over the parapet and deliver a barrage of death to the Goblins
Romon's target staggers staring for a second at the arrow in it's chest before Maraks sling stone caves in it's skull.
Inakai's utters a sharp cry of pain cut off as Muchoraks arrrow takes it in the throat.
The seagull eating goblin reels under the impact of Ali's sling stone.
The last goblin disappears in a burst of fire as Kallie burns it to a crisp(crit)
Shalelu holds her fire till last then calmly dispatches the gull eater following that up by putting an arrow into it's dog.
The dogs stand as if frozen in time and space
Round 1(ACP now applies to initiative..scores adjusted accordingly)
Shalelu 19
Kallie 19
Ali 18
Romon 18
Inakai 14
Muchorak 13
Dogs 7
Marak 4
Kallie leads off by seriously burning a dog.Shalelu kills her original target then finishes off Kallies.
That leaves two flat footed dogs for the rest off you.

Inikai |

Inikai suddenly remembers the harpy must that he has. If there is time he will coat himself with some when the dogs are killed. He holds out his extra jars of it to the others as well once the dogs are dead.

Romon |

Romon smoothly draws a second arrow from the quiver, nocks, sights down the arrow at the lefthand dog, and looses.
To hit, damage (1d20, 1d6=[11], [4]) 16 to hit, 4 danage -- if inside 30' 17 to hit, 5 damage

Alisebett |

Growling in satisfaction at the death of the gull-eater, Ali again whirls her sling and releases another stone (1d20+6 =11, 1d3+1=2)
She also has +1 to hit against Goblins, don't know if that includes their dogs? Also, for us non-new PF release owners, what's ACP?

Alisebett |

oh ya, thanks. Threw me off a bit I guess when you said it was now connected to Initiative. But that does make logical sense. Anyway, what's the situation now? Can we still see any more enemies from our current position?

Romon |

S%+*! One got away! Will the goblins figure something's up or are they too stupid? Romon whirls from the parapet and softly quickfoots it to the corner to see where the dog has gone.
quick stealth. move full speed quietly. 1d20=12+9=21

DM Wellard |

"Leave it " says Shalelu.."without a goblin to let it into the compound that dog is no threat..nor can it warn anyone inside..Lets deal with the curs in the courtyard next..a good thing they have no bark or we would be in trouble.."
The pretty elf gives you a feral grin...
"And then we can go a calling on Chief Ripnugget"

Romon |

Inikai slathers on harpy musk as he follows the others. He offers his extra vials to anyone who cares to use some.
Romon considers the pros and cons of the harpy musk. It's really not so bad. You kind of get used to it. But I don't want to look like a wimp or like I can't handle myself. He catches Kallie's eye, "You should try the musk. I mean without armour of any sort you need every protection you can get."
If she proves reluctant:
Takes a vial from Inikai, "thanks, Inikai" and puts it on. Hopefully she follows suit, but if not, oh well.
If she goes for it:
However it turns out, Romon creeps to the edge of the roof overlooking the courtyard. He pulls an arrow from his quiver and sets it to the bowstring while peering into the courtyard.

Alisebett |

"No no Icky! Now you yucky!" Ali quips as she wrinkles up her nose in response to the foul stench. The smile in her eyes and on her face though makes it clear the nature of her teasing. As Romon begins to move off, Ali quickly and stealthily (1d20+11=12) follows to. Yet if he has the musk on him too though, she makes sure she is upwind of him.
ugh! terrible roll. Thank goodness she's naturally pretty good at it :|

Romon |

Wellard, how'd the musk come out? Is Romon wearing it or not?
Romon points into the courtyard. "So we're shooting the dogs from up here, right?"
If everyone agrees to shoot the dogs from up here:

DM Wellard |

yes you have the musk on it smells horrible remind me of what else it is suppossed to do?
Two dogs go down under your combined fire..Shalelu kills a third.
I'm not even calling for more attack rolls.. the yard is a killing zone..the dogs all die by the end of round 3.
"Now we can climb down" Says Shalelu

Inikai |

yes you have the musk on it smells horrible remind me of what else it is suppossed to do?
It creates a smell in a 30 foot radius that affects goblins. The smell lasts for one minute. Any goblin within the area must make a DC14 Fortitude save or be shaken for one minute.
Before they move Inikai spreads any left over musk onto an arrow.
