The BGGM |

Carnadine |

Has the doctor unlocked the other cells yet?
Perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10

The BGGM |

Paimon the Fool |

Paimon curses as Grumblejack warns them. A sense of urgency overtakes him and he makes his way out of the cell and over to the opposite wall. He glances over at the door as he passes by, but moves too quickly to see anything. He flattens himself against the wall, hoping they don't think to look for him over there.
Moving to O5 and stealthing before they enter. I hope this works.
Percpetion: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
Stealth: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 17

Ogren |

Ogren runs to the wall and hides next to the door with a readed action to attack the guard holding to horn.
this is probably going to take place during a surprised round. Also I'm about to go to work so I'm going to roll my dice for the surprise round now as well as init
init: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11
attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7
damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6

The BGGM |

if you'd all be so kind as to move your pawns on the map to where you think they could have gotten to in a space of 5 seconds and say what they're preparing to do once the guards come out. I'll start this sucker up sometime after 8pm est to give folks enough time to move and declare their actions. Remember, during a surprise round you get either a movement OR a standard action.

Carnadine |

Carnadine moves to the spot closer to Ogren and holds the manacles above himself, so they look like they are still attached. The dagger is at his waist in the small of his back. The veil is tucked in next to his family jewels.
He acts like a good docile prisoner.
Perform (act): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (20) + 8 = 28

Zaul, the Plague Doctor |

Seeing everything beginning to unfold, Zaul shrugs. Realizing exactly what they had at their hands at the moment, he figured it best to spend his time opening up grumblejack's cage. "There there, friend, this'll all be over within an instant, I imagine." he says with a whisper. "Now then... let's get you out of here."
Postponing Disable Device check as that's a full round action.

Carnadine |

Seeing everyone giving up the possibility of subterfuge, Carnadine moves to a corner of the cells, so he has the most cover to hide. The dagger is in his hand. He shakes his head giving this melee a 1 in 3 chance to succeed.
Stealth: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9

The BGGM |

the conversation behind the door approaches, you all see the the door pulled in and the first guard comes out looking over his shoulder and laughing at something the other had just said. Stepping over the threshold he looks forward and all the blood drains from his face as he stops in his tracks... Billius?... is all he manages to squeak out as the other's breath catches in his throat and he begins fiddling with the horn on his belt.
zaul 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11
Ogren 11
keres 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17
eldros 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26
paimon 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11
guards 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
grumblejack 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (8) - 1 = 7
combat group 1:all of you
combat group 2:guards
combat group 3:Grumblejack
Surprise round: everyone take a move or standard and once those are resolved we'll start round 1

The BGGM |

within your combat group it's first come first serve so no one has to wait to post... on the front end at least
edit: the guard in the rear relaxes and smiles at Keres
the guard in front backs up in fear and bumps into his colleague but in so doing just manages to avoid being struck in the face by Ogren

Carnadine |

Can you put the map link in the header of the Campaign Info tab, so we can get the link without going to the Campaign Info tab. Thanks!
Surprise Round
Carnadine waits until his new companions have acted and then rushes to the guard.
move action from K5 to L7

The BGGM |

Keres Miyaro |

Keres smiles at the guard under her Charm effect "Thats right dear, come a little closer toward me, I wish to hold you close"
Worth noting Keres has no current plans to harm the guard with the horn under her control. Shes asking him to walk a little closer, plans to take the horn off him, and then grill him for any information this guard might know about the place (passwords, guard movements etc etc), while allowing the rest of the party to focus their actions to make sure the other guard doesn't manage to get away and sound the alarm. Of course, AFTER the guard tells her all she wants to know, hes prolly useless to her but hey, maybe next time he won't dump Will.

Zaul, the Plague Doctor |

With the acquisition of his bombs, Zaul looks at the situation unfolding and things calmly to himself. Would it be wise to use my bombs right now?" he asks as he turns to look at them. Placing the key in the door, however, he continues to think about it. Considering, however, the numeric advantage and the calmness of Keres, he figures he'll hold onto them now that he's in regular peasant clothes.
"You know, Grumblejack. You'll probably not be out of this cage by the time these guards are dead, but, I figure i'll take my time, yes?"
Disable Device: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (8) + 9 = 17

Paimon the Fool |

Paimon moves to the edge of the cell he's standing at slowly, taking note that Eldros is muttering some spell under his breath.
Moving to N5, stealthily.
Stealth: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (2) + 8 = 10
I haven't rolled over a 9 since we've started. I hope this trend breaks.

Zaul, the Plague Doctor |

Zaul grins and chuckles a bit. "Frankly I don't enjoy killing. I've only committed murder 6 times, honestly, and I was actually hoping for 7." he says with a sigh. "Though it was more vengeful than just straight evil. Honestly out of the lot of everyone here I might be the least evil." he says with a bit of a chuckle as everyone readies themselves to kill the others.
"But yes... we are gonna break more littl'uns today, aren't we? I guess this is just how luck is, then."

Eldros Matzaki |

That should be everyone's surprise round action, so I'll go ahead and post my round 1.
Eldros takes out a small piece of wool, whispering sinuous arcane words at the not-charmed guard. The wool is consumed, and the guard feels a compulsion to do, well, nothing at all.
Cast Daze on the guard. Will DC 15 or can not take action for this round.

The BGGM |

Ogren |

Seeing the guard lose interest for the moment Ogren attempts to redeem his last attempt. Thanks magic man though I don't believe you've given us your name yet what is it sir?
I attack the guard that was dazed not the one that was charmed
attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6
damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9
missing yet again Ogren curses to himself and blames the stiffness of his muscles after having been locked up for the past day and a half.

The BGGM |

Eldros Matzaki |

Eldros sneers at the half-orc's request, his silence telling. He rolls his eyes as the half-orc again misses the guard. He doesn't look down upon the man too much. The diviner could accomplish nothing with his fists, and they had been locked up for quite some time. Oh well, hopefully the others could finish the man.

Carnadine |

meta-gaming, Carnadine will delay for Keres Charm Person. If it works:
Carnadine sees the guards smiling at Keres and says, "Lady Keres, your friends are here. Would you like to introduce us?"
d20 for action: 1d20 ⇒ 7 +8=15 Perform (act)
If Keres's Charm Person does not work:
Carnadine sees one guard smiling at Keres and the second one just dazed. He says, "Here's the traitor." He thrusts the dagger into the guard who is saved by his chainmail.
7+5=12 to attack

The BGGM |

Billius, the charmed guard, puts a hand on his colleagues's shoulder, relax, Corpus. I'm sure this is all just a big misunderstanding. The lady and her friends just need to be escorted back to their cell.
1d20 + 1 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 1 + 5 = 23
Corpus shakes his head s the fugue clears. be turns to Billius in shock, obviously uninfluenced by Keres's spell Are you crazy, Bill?! THEY'RE CONDEMNED AND FORSAKEN. BLOW YOUR HORN... NOW!
edit:all who've delayed their actions till the end of the round, take them and join combat group3. once Paimon goes, begin round 2

The BGGM |

another reasonable request
round one recap:
with the horn bearing guard in the rear already charmed by Keres, Eldros successfully dazes the foreguard.
Ogren overestimates his attack on the foreguard, unbalancing himself and falling prone.
As both guards are enchanted, neither acts other than to speak
Keres, having delayed her action and joining combst group 3 casts charm person on the foreguard who shrugs off the spell.
Carnadine also delays his action to join group 3, attacks and misses.
Zaul effectively takes 20 to work on unlocking Grumblejack's cell and has removed himself from combat unless he's interrupted
Paimon, who has also delayed his action, has yet to act this round.
Once Paimon acts or defers his action, we'll begin round two.

Paimon the Fool |

Paimon emerges from his corner, having gotten an idea of what is happening.
"My dear Bill, Corpus means well." he begins as he approaches the guards "But he meant to hurt us rather than doing the just thing and simply escorting us back to our cell. Now look, he attacks us!"
The fool waves his arm at the melee ensuing, pointing out Carnadine and Ogren's assault and attempting to play it off as a fight begun by Corpus instead of the other way around. During this time, he keeps the dagger tucked neatly behind his back. As he approaches he tries, with as much grace as he can muster, dive to the other side of Bill.
Again, sorry about delaying combat. By my reckoning, if I start from L7 and attempt to tumble to L10, the DC should be 15. Also if a 28 beats both of their CMDs then I should make the jump easily. Though the GM should check my math on that one.
Sleight of hand to hide knife: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19
Bluff to keep Bill out of Combat: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 2 = 16
Acrobatics through the Guards' threatened squares to L10: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (20) + 8 = 28

Ogren |

Bill please don't let Corpus kill our friends, our allies they're all I have in this world. I'll just try to knock him out so we can talk some sense into him when he wakes up later
Ogren gets up as a move action provoking an AOO from Corpus then goes in to attack hoping that the stiffness in his muscles has finally left him. Also if Paimon succeeded in his tumble check I would be flanking with him correct?
I'm attacking with Non-lethal damage to go with my ruse.
to hit: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21
damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
I just noticed that I should be doing 1d6+3 not 1d6+4. Sorry I forgot to change that when I changed Dex to my focus I guess it was a good thing I missed those times huh?

The BGGM |

bill perc: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
bill sm: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17
Paimon surprises both guards, tumbling past both with ease, neither the wiser that he's armed; however, Billius raises a credulous eyebrow at him.
Bill please, I...I don't think Corpus wants me to go back to my cell, I think he just means to kill me right here...I'll be good, I promise, you can escort me back to my cell...just don't let him hurt me please
Billius: It's alright, Miss. We just need you to go back to your cell. You're not gonna hurt anyone, are you Corps?...
Bill please don't let Corpus kill our friends, our allies they're all I have in this world. I'll just try to knock him out so we can talk some sense into him when he wakes up later
Corpus: You're all insane! Gimme your horn, Bill!... and you stay down!
he starts to reach for Bill's belt, but is forced to deal with Ogren instead, lashing out at him with his club as he starts to rise
corps attacks: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22
Ogren takes 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8 of non lethal damage
before returning the favor with his fists
and no, Ogren, you're not flanking
Corpus immediately attacks Ogren again.
corps attacks: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
but in his frustration, his club slips from his fingers and clatters to the floor.
Corps, what are you doing?!
Bill tries to subdue Corps with his own club
bill attacks: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 = 15
but his heart's not in it and he misses.
group 3 is up

Carnadine |

Round 2
"Let's all just settle down now." Carnadine offers the situation keeping his body between the dagger in his hand and the guards.
ready attack if Corpus reaches for club or horn OR attacks Ogren or himself: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8
If Corpus gives him an AOO, he'll take it too with 1d4+4 damage

Paimon the Fool |

"Give 'em the old one two, Bill!" Paimon yells.
I assume I should make my move when group 1 is back in rotation? Also, does Carnadine get flanking now that Bill is attacking Corpus?

The BGGM |

Keres Miyaro |

"Bill, it might be wiser to give me the horn for safe keeping, something is obviously quite wrong with Corpus, and it seems wiser to deny him whatever he seems desperate to obtain, at least until you can get to the bottom of this, its perfectly safe for you to give the horn to me, I'm still completely subservient towards you, and I just hand it back when you walk me back to my cell and lock me up again...assuming that's still what you wish my dear, its possible you may have other desires"
Bluff: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (19) + 10 = 29
Heh, he has no way of beating that roll

The BGGM |

The BGGM |

Eldros Matzaki |

Eldros rolls his eyes at the circus going on around him. He had incapacitated the guard for a handful of seconds, and what did they have to show for it? The half-orc fell on his rump, and both he and the tall man had missed badly before the brawler had finally landed something. By then the guard was active again.
His companions were still playing a game with the charmed guard, so Eldros does not hurl acid on the antagonistic guard, instead keeping an eye on things. He'd put the lot of them to sleep if things got out of hand, but he would prefer to keep his finite powers in reserve, in case they were needed later.
Delaying.

Zaul, the Plague Doctor |

As Zaul continues to work on the cage, he smiles. "You know, Grumblejack, I've the feeling you've been in here longer than us, yes? Ever seen anything of... interest?" he asks with a quizzical look as he fiddles with the lock.
Keep on Disabling
