Setting himself down at a table, Hound ponders his next move.If the bugbears are coming, I'll have to scout out the area, perhaps see if I can find a suit of leather for a raid on the fort. Hound eats his dinner quietly, thinking over what he might be able to do.

Rose stood there in the doorway wearing a robe that was much too large for her. The sleeves were pushed up but kept falling down. It was synched around her waist which made it gape open in the front exposing the fine but simple shift she wore beneath. She tried to tug the robe closed, but as soon as she let go it flopped open again.

Her feet were bare and slightly pointed inward nervously. A small, hopeful smile played on her face.

"I… just can't sleep. Will you talk to me?"

Seren wanders into Mysty's room surveying the grab from the alchemist's shop.

"well done. Oh this shall be such fun." She adds with a laugh.

As Nahia returns Seren begins to frown. "A rescue mission would be suicide at this point. Let's hope Rose knows what she is doing. Regardless at this point I think it's best we prepare for tomorrow's culling."

I’m not sure if Mysty had planned to poison the ingredients this same night. I’ll move to morning, but if she is planning do it the same night she killed the shopkeeper, we’ll roll it inside a spoiler. There’s not much danger breaking into a commoner house.

Its morning, Rose still hadn’t returned.
Despite all your night activities, you finally start to feel as if things are moving as you planned.
You are eating breakfast when a tall human enter the Lords.
Sissy says to him ” Welcome to the Lor… wow, you are so big! What ya do for a living?” clearly looking at his well-defined 40b bust body.
When Bellan yells from where he is ”Sissy! Stop harassing our customers!”
The girl, grinning says ”I got ya boss!” then she turn to the 40b bust man and ask ”Welcome to the Lords! What can I get for ya??”
The man, Please, describe yourself, look down at her and says ”Stew and ale, a room later”
She leads him to an empty table, and go fetch his orders.

Before she has a chance to return, the door open again, and Lady Persephone enters the place, escorted by some watchtower soldiers.
”Thank you very much for accompanying me!” she says
The soldiers salute one more time and then leave.

Hound:

The lady that just arrived, you get a feeling you know her. But you don’t know from where.

Rose:

There’s someone you hadn’t seen before in this town. Sitting alone on a table, you remember him very well. It’s Hound. Last time you saw him, was when you both got captured in your arson spree, just before they sent you to the salt mines.

If that is easy enough it might be a good time to take out the Magister as well, but we shouldn’t lose sight of our main goal. Hound is a very large 6'8" man [strike]with a delightful heaving bosom[/strike] He is bald(shaven head) and brown eyed. His heavily muscled form is clad in a breastplate and he has a few weapons now in a pile with his backpack set behind him. He flicks his eyes around the room and seems to be waiting for his dinner.

Hound smelled someone familiar. Something like burnt vanilla. Then his lap was suddenly full of scrumptious redhead.

"Doggie!" she giggled happily giving him a hug. "I'm Persephone here." her whisper came to to his ear while she held him close.

Then, realizing she 'd been far too forward and familiar for the breakfast table in a common room she jumped up again and stood with her feet together and her hands held in front of her. She bounced a bit on the balls of her feet and smiled warmly at the big man.

"Did daddy send you to keep an eye on me? I wish you'd been here last night. I got slapped really hard by a soldier just for saying that nasty Captain Eddarly never should have slept with Captain Mott's wife!"

"Then Lord Sam came and took me to the watchtower and Father Donnagin himself healed my face! It was so exciting."

She looked and saw the others "Oh, come over here! I have to introduce you to everyone!"

And suddenly Rose was at the breakfast table with the big newcomer.

"I had an adventure!

Mysty's eyes open a bit at rose's actions. you know, she really is not what I expected from a knight of asmodeus. And now she has a new friend.

She gets up and moves over to the pair. Keeping to her disguise, she says sister, who is your new friend?

My name is Hound. A number of months ago I met her while pursuing a vendetta against the Mitrians and agreed to assist her in her goals. We unfortunatly became seperated and I was captured and during my imprisonment I learned that she was going to be sent to the salt mines and managed to free myself but was unable to find her again and so I wandered until I came to this town. I had hard that the northern tribes were gathering and decided to see if I could lend whatever assistance I could by doing damage to this town. wether by burning buildings or killing guards.

Her earlier overly enthusiastic demeanor was dropped now that they were no longer in the common room. "He should have been with me back when I caught up with the rest of you and the church, but after we got separated there wasn't enough time to track him down. He's solid."

"We'll fill you in as we go." Rose said to hound, already moving on to other business.

She retrieved some parchment and a stick of charcoal and began drawing a floor plan. "I managed to get the layout of most of the Watchtower last night."

And we have been successful in gaining the poison. And as we speak, evidence for the theft is under the bed of the dwarf chief. Alas the shop keeper did not survive the experience. mysty explains with a grin. As she speaks she pulls out the map of the tower so it can be annotated with Rose's information. Then she looks at the hulking hound speculativly. big fella. Should act as a lightning rod of attention in a fight. I can use that.

Hound would be dissapointed if Rose didn't keep track. Mysty can perhaps ride around on Hound as a Master-Blaster combo.

Planting evidance is helpful. I am not familiar with these dwarves but I doubt they it will stand up to scrutiny if they are in good standing. we will need to move quickly.

We keep growing our band, but I wish I had more time to get to know these people. I know I'm supposed to have faith, and Rose seems chosen by the Dark Father... I'm just not used to trusting my life to so many complete strangers...

Despite her misgivings, Nahia keeps the friendly smile on her face. She is quite happy with the information that Rose seems to have retrieved, as it should help them better plan the upcoming assault.

Nahia curtsies at Hound, introducing herself, "I am Nahia, and yes, we do need to move quickly, but things are still going as scheduled. We need to finish preparations for tonight."

Hound:
Nahia is a lithe, elven appearing young woman, with pale skin, straight black hair that falls down to her hips, and two different colored eyes, one an emerald green and the other a deep blue. She stands at 5’6” (167 cm) and with weaker muscles than most, but she carries herself with an almost unearthly air of grace and poise. She primarily smells of a very faint scent of roses, as well as that of elf. The are other subtle hints of various herbs and plants. And something else that you can't quite identify.

"The end goal is to seize the gatehouse and let in an army of savages." Rose said with a shrug.

"Getting to that point is tricky. We have to make sure they don't get concerned enough to send for reinforcements. The tower has a huge flock of ravens trained to deliver messages. Until the ravens are dead, everything we do has to be subtle. We're already pushing the limits of coincidence with two captains and a shopkeeper dead and an entire scout troop missing in this last week."

"What's the next objective on our timetable?"

Nahia looks around and says "Once a week the soldiers are fed a nice stew made by one of the local commoners. We'll taint it with the large amount of arsenic retrieved by Mysty here."

"Now, it probably won't kill many, but it will weaken a lot of them. While the chaos is ensuing, we will sneak in and make our way up this tower. It shouldn't be difficult since our secret route seems to come in at the base of it."

"Our first priority is to make our way to the top of the tower and take out the Rookery. When that is done, if we have the time and the strength, we should see what else lies in the tower, and hope that we can take out the Magister as well. Once that is done, we retreat back into our passage and return here to rest and recover, if possible."

"If we are discovered, but have taken out the Rookery, then we can hide out in the passage until we regain our strength, and to replan."

Looking around for confirmation, she adds "Any questions or objections?"

A messager of the Disease mother.” he says to Hound and then continues ”From what we have heard, the ravens caretaker seldom leaves the tower, so poisoning their food may not be viable, and we need to kill them all. Can’t let birds flying around.”

Ahem...Take Two

Mysty turns to rose.
rose, we need to poison the stew today. I suggest you cause a distraction with the cook, while fausto and I sneak in the back to administer the arsenic. Perhaps some of you others can help? We will only need a few minutes.
Mysty pulls out a sack and fills it with arsenic from the barrels. This will make it less obvious. She hands the sack to fausto. If you carry this, I'll unlock any needed doors. It is important we are not seen in this task and the cook must know nothing. Luckily this arsenic is relatively tasteless. I suggest adding it to the dumpling mix, and the sauce.

Mysty puts the barrels into a cupboard, I have an idea on using these to deal with the rookery.
Action
fausto and mysty slip out of the inn, find an empty alley and change disguises into a young human farmhand and a halfling farmhand. Both of them go to the cooks street. When rose and (company?) Go into the house they slip around the back of the cooks house, keeping out of sight. If seen they play the part of a couple of young fellas, talking and wandering on their day off.

Drama
Mysty looks over the fence of mama's house, across her garden and sees her working in her kitchen. Mama has a back window and every now a then both mysty and fausto can see her. The air is filled with the savoury smells of the beef stew cooking. The old and somewhat near sighted old lady doesn't suspect what is to happen to the boys she hopes to give a home cooked meal.

Suddenly she hears a noise at the front of the house and, seeing all was well, went to investigate.

Mysty and fausto take their opportunity and slip up to the back door and enter. Mysty goes to the kitchen door and listens for sign of mama's return. She gestures to fausto to pour the arsenic into the stew, the dumpling mix and into the spare flour. Both of them act as quietly, yet efficiently as possible. Fausto uses the stiring spoon the mix it in. Then they slip out, like ghosts. Once out side they find that quiet alley, and return to they original disguises. Then they return to the inn.

With the group help, Mysty and Fausto have an easy time sneaking into Mama’s house.
After poisoning the supplies, they head back into the inn, to wait the night and assault the tower.

The day passes uneventful, save for some rumors about Captain Rayn lateness.
Some says he is just a lazy one as always; others are concerned that something may have happened to him.

At the beginning of the night, you hear rumors of a cholera outbreak in the watchtower. Several guards are sickened, and some say there has been death. The quantity varies greatly, but you know that your plan worked.

After the place settle down and everyone goes to sleep, the party sneaks inside the cellar and into the secret passage.

The tunnel, about one mile long, has nothing different from the last time you came here.
After traveling in the dark for some minutes, Mysty opens the secret door, to the watchtower vault 1.

It holds a vast stockpile of durable, emergency rations. Several thousand days’ worth of iron rations fills this vault alongside barrels of potable water and other durable provisions.
There’s a trap door in the ceiling, and after listening for a bit, Mysty declares it to be safe to move on.

The passage leads to the base of a circular tower 2 probably holds the castle armory and smithy.
A fully functional forge here vents its smoke through a crude chimney. The vents are kept deliberately small.

Once they reach the tunnels, just before the trap door, Nahia stops her companions and says ”We should prepare ourselves and don disguises, like with Captain Varning. The question is, servants or monsters?”

Waiting on her companions responses, it is time that Nahia protected herself from the upcoming battles. She closes her eyes, bows her head, and begins to chant Aklo: "Spirits of fortune gather your precious light, be my armor to protect me!" As she speaks her words a haze of blue light surrounds and coalesces upon her, concentrating as it draws nearer to her form, before disappearing suddenly with the faint tink of a glass bell.

Her preparations done, she pulls a vial from her satchel, and pulls forth a vial filled with a bubbling, golden liquid. She holds the vial towards Fausto, saying ”Here, this will briefly enhance you the same way my spell would. Drink it if you want to sacrifice finesse for strength.”

Servants perhaps, I would be better off as a guard. Hound will buckles a longsword on even though he doesn't plan to use it along with a breastplate that has the mark of the military on it.

This moved past planning a little quicker than I hoped. I wanted to ask Nahia if she knew how to make glue/resin. Can we please assume I did that?

Rose was fully armored in her guise as a champion of Asmodeus, but she was currently disguised as a guard wearing Captain Edd's colors.

"Nahia, were you able to make that glue I asked about? This is what I was hoping we would find." Rose said looking at the armory.

Nahia nods at Rose, saying ”Two pounds of the stuff. Here, I’ll be glad to let you take it off my hands.” Nahia reaches into her satchel and pulls out two small clay pots, currently stoppered. As she hands them over she says ”The glue is formed when these two are mixed together. Mix only what you need and they should keep for quite a while. They’ll take about an hour to cure fully, but should hold after only a few moments.”

Her items handed out, Nahia takes a moment to close her eyes and imagine her disguise. She grows a touch taller and her skin darkens to a faint tan color. Her hair shifts from black to blond, and her ears shrink, taking on the short curves of a human. Her eyes become blue and her features gain just a touch of wear to them, like someone who has spent much time worrying. Her fancy clothes change to a simple dress of faded blue, her boots becoming simple cloth work shoes. The only ‘fancy’ clothing about her is a pristine white apron, and a yellow silk caul holding back her long hair.

"Can you and Mysty grab anything that looks enchanted or well made and stash it in the passage? The rest of is are going to break some things."

"Seren, Fausto, paint glue on the fletching of any bolts or arrows. Stick the bundles together. When you're done, Hound and I will have a pile of weapons for us to glue back together and put back on the racks."

She didn't explain further. She knew her companions would figure out what she was up to.

"Hound, give me a hand."

She wrapped a smith's mallet in a rag, tied the cloth around the head to muffle the noise the hammer would make, and started laying weapons across the anvil. A good whack or two would break the handle off a sword or the head off a polearm. A little glue to put them back together and the weapon would be ready to offer a nasty surprise to whoever used it.

Nahia nods at Rose, and begins a soft chant. Aklo: "Spirits, show me your power, no matter how hidden and sequestered." and a brief iridescent shimmer appears across her irises, and then fades away. She begins to examine the various items, looking for signs of magic or excellence.

Casting Detect Magic. Taking 10 (total 20) on appraise checks to identify the most valuable items amongst the equipment.

Disgusted with what she sees, Nahia says "Nothing here but common rubbish."

Hound nods and assists Rose with gathering the weapons and sabotaging them
with strong double-handed blows.

As for the disguise, after some missteps where Hound's features warp bizarrely, he settles on a simple looking servant. His height shrinks several inches and a somewhat unkempt thatch of hair grows on his head and face. Hound's clothes appear to be a simple set of shirt and pants with an apron that has some faded stains.

Nahia looks amongst her companions, an idea coming to mind. "While all of you are busy with that, let me do something help us keep ourselves secretive." Specifically turning to Fausto, Nahia smiles and says "I promise that you will come to no harm. I'm going to ask the spirits to help us."

Nahia retrieves a small piece of copper wire and steps towards each of her comrades, one at a time, chanting faintly and bending the wire into a small loop. Aklo: "Spirits of wind, hear our words and carry them for us, to keep our secrets safe." With each chant there is a very brief gust of wind around Nahia and her current partner that quickly dies away.

Finally done, Nahia nods at her companions and says "For a time now, as long as we stay within about forty yards, you can each whisper to me and I will hear it as if you spoke aloud, and I can do the same to you."

once mysty returns she sets about some crafting. Taking the two barrels that held the arsenic, still with some in them, she lashes them together. Then she adds straw and cluth strips into the barrels, lamp oil and mixes well (wearing gloves while doing this, safety first). This should form a sludge like material on the bottom of the barrels. When asked she says this is going to be a smoke bomb, with rather poisonous smoke. Excellent for clearing out a rookery. when finished she puts the lids back on, puts it in a sack and asks sourat if he could carry it for her.

mysty checks her daggers, and limbers her self up a bit. She smiles and accepts nahias spell and keeps watch while the weapons are checked and wreaked.

It takes some minutes to spoil all the items in the armory.
Breaking the weapons, even with a muffled hammer still make some noise, but no one comes checking.
Once everything is restored to its original location, Nahia cast the Message spell, to allow private communication.

All set here. Will one of us be a lookout? I believe one good at stealth is best for that role. They can then use that magic spell to speak to the others if there is someone approaching.

This large circular chamber is the second level of the tower. This open room is where the banners and honors of the garrison are kept. Six large flags hang on the wall.

Mysty, the flag room 32 do not appear to have anything of interest, save perhaps that the flags you can use to hide behind, if there is need of it.

You listen at the door and hear someone talking outside. Most likely the guards mentioned by Rose, from her last visit.

You dart into the next set of stairs.
The next level of the watchtower 38 is a key archer’s strongpoint. Arrow slits adorn its entire outer wall. Wooden racks contain the watchtower’s store of arrows. A quick count and you think there’s more than four thousands of arrows neatly sorted into quivers hanging on these racks.
this chamber is unguarded. Two torches on sconces light it. Stairs connect up to the floor above 42 and down to the flag room 32.

Hound begins sniffing, seeking the reek of birds, hopfully leading the group the right way.

Rose looks at the arrows for a long moment but decides that gluing them would be too obvious. This area of the fort likely saw a lot more foot traffic than the armory downstairs.

Those quivers though, they gave her an idea. When they came back she'd be ready to ruin them.
