Titian Troll |

Titan takes in everything he can and thinks. Is the cures the mark of the black rider that compelled him here? He knows he is after the witch queen but why is she in this strange land?
Do you all want me to cast echolocation and see if anything fishy is going on?

![]() |

I came to assist these brave heroes after they assisted my people. It seemed to me they were seeking to save their world or at least their nation. If you are the means to that end it would seem better to do so peacefully than to result in your demise.” Baub says and then casts shield.

Titian Troll |

Echolocation is basically blindsight. Detect magic may also give us an idea about this person.
Titan will assess the person for weapons, spell casting component pouches, special, holy symbols, anything that will give information about abilities, strength and weakness.

At the same time, the pile burning corpses seems to
animate, melting together in a grotesque symphony of charred flesh and blackened bone. In fact, the pile is a bizarre and disgusting creature known only as a corpse orgy that has absorbed the villagers' corpses into its own body. Called from the heated depths of the Earth by the power of the Man, the corpse orgy is infused with fiery energy. It unleashed a painful shriek affecting all nearby.

I believe Duardlara was still airborne, probably 15', anyway, but I made that save, so it's moot. Her Improved Invisibility has probably expired already, however.
The shriek issuing forth from the pile of flaming bodies assaults the arcane trickster's sensitive ears, causing her to double over in mid-air for just a moment. As she flies around the foes clockwise, she reaches into a sack hanging at her belt, drawing forth a furry ball and tossing it to the ground between her and the stranger as she cries out, "Attack!".

I have returned. Since we have a troll are we no longer keeping Helgash the younger around? Seemed the going idea so I will drop the leadership and go back to my original build, if that is ok. Otherwise, I will bring a charging helgash into the fight and we will need a different icon.

I moved everyone in to talk to the man. You are still in the air but just closer to hear everything as he does not shout to be heard. He expects you to hear him the first time. You all would be in the area of effect.
Duardlara pulls out a heavy warhorse that promptly flounders in the proximity of the fire beast. Titian lays into the creature with a massive blow but his second strike almost causes him to trip and impale himself.

Did the improved invisibility wear off during the conversation?

Duardlara Frostborn |

I assume mine has expired. I think I may have cast it earlier, so that would track.

DM Variel |

Baub flees the area as he is unsure what is going to happen next with the corpse fire and the man. Jetro fires thrice but only the first arrow hits. The corpse fire takes full damage from the arrow. Unfortunately the second 2 shots are off the mark. AC 28+

If I am reading this right you used wild shape ability to assume giant form. Doing so prevents you from gaining an armor bonus unless the armor has the wild upgrade
Party is up

Titian Troll |

Wildshpe normally does but this is based on giant form. Turning into human shape you keep your armour just like enlarge person.
When you cast a polymorph spell that changes you into a creature of the animal, dragon, elemental, magical beast, plant, or vermin type, all of your gear melds into your body...If your new form does not cause your equipment to meld into your form, the equipment resizes to match your new size.
Humanoid is not on that list.

"So, I just found myself compelled to walk through a portal to find you all. I have been trying to track down Old Grandmother and it seems I have accidentally been following you. Quite the trail you left me to follow. Do we find that man? Do you have any other clues?"

"He seems none to willing to help. Therefore, it would appear he needs to die. Of course, this" Baub gestures to the destruction around them, "Was likely his fault."

"But what about these poor people? Are we going to leave their bodies in the snow?"

Duardlara Frostborn |

Are there civilian bodies, also? Or just the soldiers? I’m guessing the ones we killed were the victors and the corpse pile were the losers and the innocent.
Duardlara searches the area, looking for clues about where (or when) they find themselves this time.
As to the internment of the bodies, she’s inclined to agree with Jetro - it’s going to be very difficult and possibly better left to those that return to the village, unfair as that might be. But she doesn’t say it because she’s searching.
Perception: 1d20 + 20 ⇒ (12) + 20 = 32

DM Variel |

For the most part the bodies of the civilian innocents were gathered together and thrown into the fire to create the corpse fire. The rest of the bodies you find are this of the soldiers blown apart by you all. You do find 2576 gp worth of coins/gold teeth/silver baby rattle/jewelry the soldiers ‘liberated’ from the villagers.

DM Variel |

Those that have a speed over 30 will be able to catch the Hut and hop inside. Those with speed 30 or less are going to have a hard slog following it. However the Hut does provide a very easy path to follow for an hour of hard marching.

![]() |

He can dimension door 4 times at 920' each so that should be sufficient to catch it with everyone in tow, yes?
Baub drops down and calls out, "To me! Touch me!" in a surprisingly commanding voice he usually does not use. When the slower troopers touch him, he dimension door's in the direction of the hut until he catches it.

Duardlara Frostborn |

Duardlara’s fly spell should still be active and she takes advantage, trying to think of a way she might get the crazy hut to pause while others catch up.
