First off, sorry for the confusion...
The Noble houses of Veir are just that. They all live in Veir and ply their trades in the port town.
The delegates are from every area of Erenon and they represent their respective people. The King of Erenon acts as the delegate for the noble houses of Veir, but you'll notice, he has the many advisers where each other delegate has one. The only reason the House Rudianos has a separate seat is because they also rule Lehrehn.
As it was stated at the beginning, House Rudianos was once THE strongest force in Erenon which should be evident because they were a major house AND their own area of Erenon: twice the representation.
However, lately they have been sticking to Lehrehn and only occupy Veir to trade once in a while.
Make sense? More questions?
Thaegrin Variel
As far as Thaegrin is concerned, any civil war will come down to money. Which ports can afford to lower taxes to attract more trade, who can afford to conscript from within or hire foreign sellswords, who can afford to build warships, and so on.
As a displaced Feraweni, he does not feel a special connection with the varying cultures at stake. You can decide how important the sovereignty of Lehrehn is for the Rudianos house. Thaegrin is for the benefit of the house, and any war could be very beneficial, if we survive.
Joining the emperor was my first thought, but there is not guaranteed win here. What are the rest of you thinking?
Ezkal the Ordo Hereticus
Ezkal is the inquisitor for Gorum. If a war does start, Ezkal will be there to cleanse the face of the planet of the weak. So really, he doesn't concerns himself with few matters outside of battle, and this attitude extends to include his relations with others. He sees little value in matters of diplomacy and politics, considering the pursuits of his divine peers as frivolous at best. So, whatever the king is stating about politics, Ezkal just wants to wreck some b@+$@es.

Yeah, I’d like to hold out and see who falls on what side. If ALL of us can escape without making a decision, that would be an interesting option –I just assumed that wasn’t doable. If everyone seems to be the rulers of their own faction but us, could we simply ask Emp./King Jonas to let us return to Lehrehn to ask Papa Rudianos?
Jathus Stormend
Qoute: The only open way out would be to crash through the large window behind the delegates of Veir.
Sounds like your pushing Jathus to be a little to awesome... I'll hold back my awesome idea!
Qoute: No! I am not pushing!
My god I was talking about breaking the large window and trying to escape.
Jathus Stormend
Jathus' Priorities
1) Achieve Glory, Fame, and Wealth.
2) Find Dead Brother (Even if he is alive)
3) Dispose of Oldest Brother
4) Kill Father
5) Take Control of house.
6) Become Veir... King... Emperor... Sith Lord? Ruling as far as he can with an iron fist. Rewarding loyalty and good work, while severely punishing the opposite.
Jathus would typically favor the king. Jathus respects the titles above the person, and when a person is undeserving of the tittle it is time to remove said person. As the king moves away from the law Jathus will loose respect for him quickly, but he doesn't like the idea of disloyalty. If presented the option in a completely different and personal setting he would quickly drop to his knee and pronounce his sovereign king.
As Josh I would quickly go the route of the rebel- kneeling to no man, but as Jathus he'd prefer to hold himself till a personal meeting could be set up to discuss everything. (Terms) Moving from a Democratic Monarchy to a straight Monarchy can be a big deal for those in power.

What has he done?
He has led armies in battle and has proved himself an excellent tactician, warrior, and strategist. He is rapidly gaining a reputation as a savvy politician.
Does he have any characteristics that stand out?
How is this different than above?
His family?
He is betrothed, but no one seems to know who his bride-to-be is.
Is he married?
^
Children?
One bastard son. He is nearly a man, but he is in seclusion and jealously guarded.
What is his house about?
Power, wealth, and influence

I am 90% content. I am very happy with the campaign thus far. I have been thinking about it for awhile and my big critique is that I feel like were not putting towards the effort to develop our characters and our setting. For example, How many posts do we have that go over 100 words? 50 words? or even twenty words! If we wanted to improve it that would be how.
Personally, I try to push the story and give my character a tangible vibe. I would like to give a shout out to Theagrin to giving my character a great negatively toned relationship.
But, might I ask Ryan what you would like?
Lastly, now keep in mind I think Ryan you are doing an excellent job at not being cliche and your story arch-keep me guessing. I would like to reference a post from a different PBP I again, the goal is to show a different option then the A+B styles we currently use, which in no way is an insult to anyone. I am just bringing up another option to maybe force us to dive deeper! (Particularly, the other players)
Example
Premise: Luis had just woken up from a vision of the coming apocalypse. (Greek Mythology)
Actual Post
Louis awoke in a cold sweat from his latest vision. While Father Zeus had long ago [TT="steeled"]Aura of Courage[/TT] his heart against all manner of terrors, this portent yet filled him with an unspeakable dread. "What manner of vision is this?" he thinks to himself, sitting in bed. "Why has Father Zeus bid this to me? Is it a prophetic warning from his oracular son Apollo? Or merely the mischief of the capricious titanness Nyx?" The most recent version of the dream argued heavily against the latter. No longer mere nightmares of inevitable doom, the last variation revealed that hope yet remained against the woes promised by this artifact. "Still," he wonders cautiously, "be this a vision true or mere phantasms sent to vex?"
With sigh, he left these thoughts for later. Dawn's reassuring light shone through his window to signal the start of his morning ritual. The Lord of Nichen descended to his knees beside his bed, thanking the divine king for this new day & beseeching his guidance in his rule today.
The pious lord is interrupted from his prayers by a knock at the door. He rises, bidding them enter. Some servants stride swiftly in, busying themselves with preparing their lord's washing basin & his regalia for court today. Washed & dressed in the rich blue/red robes of his office (beneath which hides a simple but protective leather jerkin) along with the iron crown of Nichen, Lord Louis offers a nod & polite word of thanks to his servants, dismissing them. He completes his attire with the richly ornate scabbard resting by his bedside, fixing it to his belt. Within the scabbard rests the jeweled but unbreakable sword of his father ("his soul rest in peace") & father's father & so on for as long as anyone can remember.
With a soft swish of the richly trimmed cape, bearing the red & blue coat of arms of House Galliberos, the Lord of Nichen exits down the hall, guards coming to a smart salute as he passes. Louis descends the stairs towards his manor's chapel. He kneels at his usual spot awaiting the start of the daily service. He tends to pay little notice to who does & does not attend with him; however, he is pleased to find his little sister Catherine ("Good for her"), whom he had been gently prodding to attend regularly with him for some time now.
Refreshed from the service, Louis adds again to his usual petitions some small guidance from the heavens as to his strange vision. With a polite nod to his sister as he exits the chapel, Louis pays his morning visit & repast with his ailing mother Isabel. She obviously can tell something is on his mind, bothering him (mothers are good at that), but he hasn't yet troubled her with the vision, worried over her health being what it is. Still, the troubled lord is affable enough. With a filial kiss on her forehead, he takes his leave. The Lord of Nichen spies his ministers waiting for him outside. He begins to walk down the hall & nods to them to begin their briefing.
If you planned some other happening amid his morning routine, feel free to interrupt.
Who would be in charge of watching the night sky & charting the stars? The clergy? A court astrologer? I'm wanting to know who I might ask about watching for & finding a comet descending at night, besides whoever has the nightwatch on the ramparts.
Hm. Prophecies of doom-bringing power, intriguing. If I had to hazard a guess, that little girl certainly sounds like the young baronness of Firantis. I can't place the proud noble, though.
Does Louis himself recognize either the young sorceress or the proud noble?
Take 10 on Knowledge:Nobility: 19.
End
In just a medium length post we have learned a lot about the character, and most of it was internal monologue. (this site lacks some of the cooler PbP http addons, hence the odd script.) Is anyone else willing to commit to longer posts? Thought we were all English majors except me!

I like the sandbox. I would love to have Thaegrin go do his own thing, but as the story progresses, plots are becoming more complex. I don’t want to bog down the story with solo adventures. Some of the consequences are fairly predictable (such as the trip to the market), and others are not. I don’t want Thaegrin to blunder into something he can’t handle. This world is dangerous, someone could die. Tholan and Jathus raise good points, I’m usually too distracted by the problems facing the party to think to RP between the other PCs. That could be fun.
And Jathus, I’m not sure what you mean? I’ll explain what might never be obvious in a post: Thaegrin doesn’t hate Jathus. He doesn’t hate martial combat. He is getting older, and it’s just easy to annoy him with shenanigans and knee-jerk problem-solving. “Those damn kids and their hippity-hop.” He’s there to help, even if he would rather lock himself in an office and study all day.
I think the sandbox is working ok, I just can’t think of ALL THE OPTIONS when I sit down to post.
Ezkal the Ordo Hereticus
... There's only one english major and that was Ryan. Where in the world did you get that idea? Have you EVER heard of an Asian going to school to be an ENGLISH major.
On the other hand, I like the sandbox. But it seems we are getting too worried about what is the right course of action and the wrong course of action instead of just going at it.

Good input. Here's how we'll start.
Go back to the game thread. You are in your little conference room under guard. Discuss your options and what you will do. Any course of action is available, but realize that you'll need to think through the possible consequences to weigh the risk.
One thing for Jathus as a character: The persona of ultimate authority is good (and sometimes necessary) for when the party is in public around important people. However, when it is just you guys, Jathus has to know that these people make his plans a reality (and they don't get paid!). I'd like to see multiple sides to Jathus. He is a cool character.
Now...BACK TO THE GAME! (I will not move the story along until the characters have discussed their options and motivations.)
Jathus Stormend
David) Your asian I don't think your people need to "Major" in it, similarly like a Jewish person doesn't need to "major" in math! I'll just change what I sent to English Pro's.
Ryan)I really have a hard time providing good rp with characters that I don't really feel like rp, outside of one liners. Example, in less then 100 posts as, Thaegrin is changing Jathus. Yet, with Tholan little effort has been given on both players to even provide a conversation. But, yes I agree there is more to Jathus then the Ultra Authoritative and I need to be doing better providing other sides for others to Rp with.
But, I really agree with Theagrin. It feels like if we make the wrong choice your going to kill us. If you want to build a sand box game we kinda need to lead you! Which means then we need to stop asking/waiting on the next ryan post to tell us what were doing! Instead we should be having DSP responding to us and our actions.
I am going to commit to a lot longer posts as I think it will spur us to a new level of sand boxiness.

Yes!
I am ready to respond to your actions people! That is what I do!
And no, I will not kill you. I will send an overwhelming force to capture you if you try to kill the king and botch it, because he will be pissed about it.
I will allow a clever and creative solution to bypass a hard encounter if it's legal and I just didn't think of it.
The consequences will be appropriate to the action.
Anga Facion
Hmmm, I'd like to try an un-orthodox move against this guy. I'd like to box him on both ears simultaneously with closed fists as a dirty trick. I was thinking it would result with like sickened or maybe shaken? Also, can Anga do an acrobatics check to avoid the AoO?

Stealth isn't a combat skill per say: unless you possess Hide in Plain Sight. No, what you are doing with your rolls isn't actually covered in the rules anywhere that I know of. I am adjudicating the noise level of your fight by taking you rolls with a penalty for your surroundings (it echoes in there!) and a small one just for the noisy nature of fighting. Not to mention your adversary is not attempting quiet in any way. All this goes into how quiet you are and is opposed by the perception checks of anyone close enough that they might here, or care to listen.
Dirty trick can be used to blind as well as deafen. It usually only lasts for one round though :)
