Then it shows the metal ring, followed by a damaged console, then the ring with lights on it.

The wyrd ascends the shaft, and the flames around the party members disappear.

Slick ascends quickly.
Looking around, he can see a closed door directly ahead, with the green disk beside it torn away. Green fluid oozes where the disk was. As he watches, the door quickly opens about halfway, then shuts.
Glancing around the sides of the shaft, he can see openings at the other three cardinal directions.
The comozant wyrd waits to the side.

Slick creeps around the outside of the shaft, looking for immediate hazards and a place to tie the rope.

Stealth check 21 taking 10.

As Slick watches the doorway to the east, he can see klaven shuffling around inside the room beyond. They look like they are undead.

To the north and south, corridors branch off from the opening. A sealed door is also to the north, which the Wyrd heads towards.

Slick quickly ducks back when he sees that multiple armed klaven guard a room to the west.

There are a couple of tense moments as Morgrom "sneaks" through the portion of the hall which is in line of sight of the Klaven guards, but apparently they are not all that attentive.

The wyrd leads the group down the western branch to a room.
The large chamber includes four, dominating columns of unusual green metal. Each one throbs with a slow, rhythmic pulse shedding a faint green light with the eerie sound of a heartbeat. A thin layer of orange dust, marked by animal-like paw prints, coats the floor. To the northwest, a large breach has taken down part of the external wall, plainly revealing an alien landscape of barren rubble and debris strewn by the impact crater of a dark blue meteorite. A shimmering translucent field of energy has cordoned off the broken wall from the outside environment, occasionally flickering with an intermittent drop in power. Several spherical objects litter the ground before the meteorite, both inside and beyond the energy field. Composed of strands of unusual metal, they appear hollow and torn open from within. A nauseating tang emanates from them, filling the air inside the room.

How large are the paw prints? Could they have been made by a creature the size of, oh, I dunno, something that might have burst out of those little spheres?

The paw prints are about the size of those made by a riding dog, and the broken spheres would be barely large enough to contain one of those.

As Haer Kul enters the room to examine the prints, the wyrd moves towards some sort of pipe which is obviously damaged, connected to the columns.

Haer Kul lifts an eyebrow. He move towards the damaged pipe, and examine it to try to determine its purpose. Assuming he doesn't think it's dangerous to do so, he'll see if he can fix it.

He'll take 20 if he can, otherwise take 10. If he can't do that, then use the roll.

First he'll examine the pipe carefully: Perception: 20 + 10 = 30 (if he can't take 20 or take 10: perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (8) + 10 = 18

I assume Knowledge(engineering) is more appropriate than Disable Device here (since it looks like the disabling has been done)

knowledge(engineering) take 10 w/inspiration: 10 + 6 + 1d6 ⇒ 10 + 6 + (5) = 21
If he can't take 10: knowledge(engineering): 1d20 + 6 + 1d6 ⇒ (2) + 6 + (1) = 9

I don't know if alchemy is useful here (for the contents of the pipe), but: craft(alchemy): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (10) + 8 = 18

As Haer Kul examines the machinery, the fumes in the room begin to cause him to feel dizzy and get a headache.
It appears that the damaged equipment will need spare parts to fix, but it seems fairly intuitive.
BR-N3R scuttles into the room and confirms this by stating, "Parts available in storage."

During this interaction, Haer Kul spots movement out of the corner of his eye. Beyond the energy field, a pair of blue lion-like creatures with tentacled manes are approaching.
Knowledge (Dungeoneering) to identify, with a -2 penalty if you do not have the Xenobiologist trait.

A gong sounds from the direction of the ceiling, followed by a few statements from a voice in an unknown language.
Andretta says, "Uh-oh. Something about system failure imminent."

"I can fix this if I have the parts, and if those creatures do not eat me. Alas, I do not know if I can appear unappetizing. M. BRN3R, where is the storage room with the parts?" I hope it's not on the floor where started.

Morgrom strides into the room, drawing his greatsword, then stands ready for the advance of the alien creatures.

Andretta uses the shielding warpriest as an opportunity to close in, then casts a spell.

Akata W Will: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24

One of the Akatas slumps to the ground, while the other advances into the room.

This provokes a sneak attack from Slick, if he wants it. Then it triggers Morgrom's readied greatsword attack.

Note that the area of Andretta's sleep spell would've included Slick, but the spell affects lower HD first.

What Haer Kul should have done if he had been listening instead of talking in an outRAGEous accent...:
Haer Kul gestures, and four torch lights appear in front of the door at the other end of the passage. They slowly move towards the party bouncing as if being carried by invisible humans. They stop 15' from Morgrom, and then hurry away back towards the door. ( dancing lights ) Haer Kul moves back beside B3-N3R.
(I had this all typed in, then realized I had already gone.)
