Petronicus retrieves a trident and a shirt of silvery mail from under the table.

There is also a grey-green mass in the remains of the blob, which looks familiar to the heroes from Holver's Ferry. Something similar was attached to the back of the simple woodsman Silam Oddle.

I will remind you all that Slick was carrying a potion of cure moderate wounds. And you now have the wand (which only Morgrom can use without making Use Magic Device rolls).
Which room will the group want to rest in? The one with the vats full of opaque liquid?

The party members rest and recover their spells, then gather for Bardos' seance.

Bardos:
"Dammit, I'm a ghost, not a miracle worker". Feel free to describe the seance in whatever terms you wish.

Everybody who takes part in the seance gains one of these two boons for the day: either your healing spells and abilities heal an extra 2 hp to each target (doesn't apply to fast healing), or you gain 5 temporary hp. Note that the second option is non-standard.

Bardos takes out his planchette, closes his eyes and begins writing furious. Strange metallic sounds fill the room, and there is a high pitched whistle and the whooshing of wind. He opens his eyes, and the party is filled with healing energy.

"I like this one, but why does he keep calling me "Jim"?"

Sorry for the delay. Doing some decision-making about next step.

The heroes finishes the seance then follow Slick to the vertical shaft.

Before the ninja can begin his ascent, a small blue-green cloud descends from above. It crackles with electrical energy, but a vaguely humanoid face can be seen in the swirling energy. The party members are immediately wreathed in heatless flames from the waist up, and see vague images forming.

BR-N3R states, "Power source."

To clarify, the cloud is in the shaft, and is about the same size as Haer Kul. The other effect is that the party are wreathed in ghostly fire.

Petronicus recognizes the creature as a comozant wyrd, an elemental creature formed of plasma and electricity.

BR-N3R replies, "Comozant Wyrd. Power source."

Images form in the flames. First, a circular metal structure in a large room. Then the party and the Wyrd together, moving through the ring. A feeling of safety accompanies the image of the co-operation.

Haer Kul:
A comozant wyrd is a variety of air elemental formed of plasma. It can use electrical attacks, and is unaffected by electricity or cold. They are neither good nor evil.

As the party pauses, the images change to show some sort of building on a rocky, starlit plain. A massive, plummeting, fiery stone strikes the outside of the building. A shimmering dome forms over the building, but it is obvious that air is escaping from the dome.

The image changes to show the comozant wyrd being released from a room within the complex, where it was attached to a damaged machine.
