Aggramar and Good Thomas can roll perceptions with their dark vision.
brvheart
Cottage? What cottage? Thomas can't see a thing it seems in a -9 perception. (I do -10 on a 1 and +10 on a 20 on skill checks. So bad things happen and you can make impossible checks!)
Sorek
OOOOPPPs sorry my bad. I mixed up perception with initiative. I can roll perception twice when in the Eyes of the Crane stance. But only Perception NOT Initiative.. sorry about that. Only one initiative roll for me
Sorek
and one more correction. I mistakenly used my perception (+11) modifier instead of my init (+2)
my init roll was 16
so my init for this round should be 16+2=18
brvheart
Ok, that makes more sense then. Not like I don't make mistakes on here. And feel free to call me on it when I do:) This is for fun anyway, right? I presume you chose to play in RA because you wanted. Well, I like to challenge just up to the point where you think you can't succeed, but not make it impossible. And not do it ALL the time, just sometimes:)
brvheart
J'ark can roll perception also. Forgot he has darkvision also earlier.
Sorek
Jark said he is out this weekend and will be back Monday
Also Jark the Bard is no longer with us. Almon Elros the Elven Wizard is with us instead, but his crunch is not ready yet. Jark/Almon said would be ready monday
Thousand-Faced Koan
So sorry guys!
Koan edges forward cautiously, giving his wayfinder a superstitious kiss. C'mon now, Yuuma. Give me sight.. The ioun stone within it gives a faint glow as the wayfinder gives off a light.
[ooc]Cracked Magenta Prism Ioun Stone currently keyed towards Perception (+2 to any skill, changeable once per day). He nocks
Perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (10) + 10 = 20

Can I get an init Koan? We can go without J'ark/Almon for this I think.
brvheart
init Koan: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19
init inside cottage: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (18) - 1 = 17
init outside cottage: 1d20 ⇒ 13

swift action: switch from Eyes of the Silver Crane to his Pugilist (+1d6 dam w/ unarmed attacks) stance
I don't see any enemies on the map yet so I assume that they are not within 40ft cone which is the range of the light shining from my eyes.
I will hold formation rather than split away from the group to go looking for the enemy. I will hold off on any further action and will attack once the enemy comes within range. I'll let the enemy inside the cottage come out and fight us in the open. Or take care of the enemies outside first before going inside.
Stay together. Let's not get split apart. Watch that door Lars and Thomas there is still an Evil presence inside
WabbitHuntr
Maintaining his position next to Koan, Sorek stares directly at the enemies illuminating them for Koan
"Koan... There they are shoot them "

Thousand-Faced Koan
I was multitasking too much earlier and didn't notice I left my post unfinished ugh
he nocks an *edit: Standard* arrow*
Letting instinct take over, Koan sprints towards Sorek's eye-lights for a clear shot, dodging Aggrammar's stout body, and let's an arrow fly.
Ranged Attack: 1d20 + 8 + 1 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 8 + 1 + 1 + 1 = 21
Damage: 1d8 + 1 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 + 1 + 1 = 4
Point Blank Shot, Inspire Courage, Bless
brvheart
At this point four gnolls rush out of the woods and attack, one each on Good Thomas, Sorek, Aggramar and Koan
battleaxe on Good Thomas: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22 damage: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9 hit
battleaxe on Sorek: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4 damage: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10
battleaxe on Aggramar: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20 damage: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7 hit
battleaxe on Koan: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9 damage: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
Then the door to the cottage opens up. Standing there is an ogress.
Good Thomas, Sorek and Lars make a Will Save DC 13.
Lars, Good Thomas and Aggramar are up after Will Saves.
Aggrammar Deepdelver
On my mobile at the moment, so can't access Roll20, but I should be entitled at least an AoO against the one that attacked me, correct? Let me know if I'm wrong or entitled to AoO against others, depending on positioning?
As the gnolls charge in, Aggramar is quick to react, jutting his long spear ahead of him, striking as the creature approaches.
Longspear AoO: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (15) + 6 = 21
Damage if it hits: 1d8 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 15
The stout dwarf then takes a step back, repositioning himself for an attack - "Ye lads chose a bad day to get outta bed today" - he roars - "Me an' tha boys'll put ye back to sleep in no time!"
5' step back and attack.
Longspear attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22
Damage if it hits: 1d8 + 8 ⇒ (1) + 8 = 9

Almon Elros
Going to skip the "how he switches with Jar'k" just so there won't be any backtracking. Also, Adding initiative and a Spoiler Action to join combat if it is still going.
Initiative: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8
Almon draws his rapier and watches the others, trying to get a feel for how they operate with one another. Seeing a change opportunity, he moves forward to the nearest standing Gnoll/ogress(?) and thrusts with his rapier.
Attack Rapier: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 3 = 23
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
[ooc]IF only the ogress is standing, he drops rapier for bow, as move action. He will take the -4 penalty for melee.
EDIT: Critical Threat confirmation roll
Confirmation: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20
brvheart
confirm roll extra damage. Regardless, you kill the one on Sorek. It was near where you would have been.
Good Thomas
Good Thomas moves to attack the ogress with charge, roaring his defiance as he pounds forward, great sword levelled like a lamce.
Charge: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (7) + 12 = 19
Damage: 2d6 + 13 ⇒ (5, 5) + 13 = 23
brvheart
She will again get an AOO greatclub: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22 damage: 2d8 + 7 ⇒ (6, 7) + 7 = 20
That will hit die to the -2 AC due to the charge. You charge through a threat zone. She gets a good whack at Good Thomas before he puts her down.
Good Thomas
The ogress's club catches Good Thomas right across the temple, causing his world to explode in blinding white light shot through with slivers of silver pain. Only momentum carries him on, burying his blade deep into the ogress's guts. Tearing his blade free, he stands there reeling, trying to get his bearings, and see how many gnolls are left standing.
Sorek
As the chaos swirls around him in the waking world Sorek "Sleeps" for the first time in his life. The meditative trance that he enters into on a daily basis to rejuvenate his body and mind is quite different from what he is currently experiencing. His body twitches and his eyes dart side to side beneath closed lids. Far different from the poised controlled and regal posture that he assumes while meditating
Sorek
judging by roll20 it looks like next up is Aggrammar, a peacefully sleeping Sorek and then Koan
and thanks Almon for saving Sorek sleeping behind. I'll never disparage a Wizards melee capabilities again ;)
brvheart
That is correct. I guess either my post of that didn't take or I neglected to post it. Was watching the Blackhawks win the Stanley cup.
Aggrammar Deepdelver
"Hah! I told ye! Ye'll go down like a lead zeppelin!" - Aggrammar roars with first a sidelong glance at Good Thomas to make sure the ogress is down.
Once he has confirmed his warrior companion is still up, albeit hurt, he shifts his position from behind Koan, and again thrusts with the spear at the remaining gnoll.
Dropping Inspire Courage. Attacking the gnoll. Position updated on Roll20.
Longspear: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25
Damage: 1d8 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10
Crit?: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9
Additional damage if it crits: 2d8 + 7 + 7 ⇒ (7, 1) + 7 + 7 = 22
brvheart
Did not confirm, but that fell the last gnoll. XP for all = 400 each.
Inside Yorgala’s hut there is a large cauldron, a selection of knives, a wooden table, an ogre-sized bed, and a large and elaborate silver mirror (1,000 gp total).
Sorek
After the action is all over Sorek wakens to see his companions wounded yet alive. Seeing the body of the Gnoll lying next to him with a single wound straight through its heart, Sorek looks up at the Wizard Almon in mild disbelief that transitions into gratitude as he surveys the rest of the scene and sees how occupied everyone else was with their opponents.
Thanks for protecting me Almon. Not many Wizards can wield a weapon with such skill.
Once inside the cottage Sorek manifests Detect Psionics/Magic searching for any items the Ogress may have that we did not find in our search
Almon Elros
"You are welcome. My father was a Lantern Bearer and hoped I would follow in his footsteps one day." Almon cleans his rapier and keeps it handy as he helps the others search.
"Myrtle, do you see anything?" he places his greensting scorpion on the ground as they walk along together searching.
