Olimpia Beta II |

Burned badly by the laser, Olimpia only knows to try to pay back Hellion in kind. Unsure if the construct is limited by his grapple with Raktar, she uses acrobatics to advance 5' and full attacks, hoping that her shocking weapon will penetrate.
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (5) + 15 = 20

Reflex save Hellion vs Lightning bolt: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11
Dilana's spell again hammers Hellions frame.
Should Raktar be taking that damage as well? He's being held in a giant metal claw which is taking electrical damage?
Raktar struggles vainly against the iron grasp of the machine god.
Olimpia darts in and despite her attempts to evade she is attacked but the blow is clumsy and she in untouched.
Claw: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (2) + 11 = 13
Her attacks both hit, though her +1 Wakizashi barely scratches the metal.
Damage: 1d8 + 8 ⇒ (4) + 8 = 12
Raktar is crushed again by the claw.
Hellion forgoes his tail for this round, deciding to deal with a problem. He casts a spell on Dilana.
Confusion.
Will save DC18 please Dilana.
The party may now act. This is round 3/4 of being slowed.

Raktar Garnok |

Should Raktar be taking that damage as well? He's being held in a giant metal claw which is taking electrical damage?
I don't believe that there are any specific rules around conduction of electricity from one target to another outside of specific circumstances like chain lightning.
Also, unless he has some kind of special rule, Hellion has to make a CMB check as a standard action to maintain the grapple on Raktar. He gets a +5 bonus because I didn't escape last round, so it looks like he can't fail unless he rolls a 1, given that my current CMD is 20.Raktar howls in pain as Hellion's mighty claw crushes him even harder. He feels ribs crack and breathing becomes more and more painful. He struggles desperately to escape.
Standard Action to try to escape the grapple.
CMB vs CMD: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (20) + 9 = 29 Natural 20 FTW!
Raktar gathers all his remaining strength, knowing that his death is imminent, and uses his hammer to lever open the giant claw. He prises the pincers apart just enough and slips free, dropping to the dusty floor, bloodied but alive.

Dilana Hemlock |

Will: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (2) + 13 = 15
Dilana is not sure what Hellion tried to do to her but does know it did not work. A grin spreads on her face
"I think my magic is better then yours.... god."
Desna grant me strength to back up my mouth, not sure if this will work.
Dilana mumbles another word and points at the robots scorpion tail casting Recoil Fire. DC16
RECOIL FIRE
School transmutation; Level sorcerer/wizard 2, witch 2
Casting Time 1 standard action
Components V, S, M (hoof shavings from a mule)
Range close (25 ft. + 5 ft./2 levels)
Target 1 firearm
Duration instantaneous
Saving Throw Will negates (object); Spell Resistance yes (object)
The target firearm suddenly fires of its own volition, even if it is unloaded, generating a recoil so great that the wielder or carrier of the firearm must scramble to hold onto it and becomes flat-footed until the start of his next turn. If the wielder is already flat-footed, he is instead knocked prone. If the firearm was loaded, that ammunition is waste

Olimpia Beta II |

Olimpia darts in and despite her attempts to evade she is attacked but the blow is clumsy and she in untouched.
[dice=Claw] 1d20 + 11;Her attacks both hit, though her +1 Wakizashi barely scratches the metal.
Hmm. olympia critted for 22 slashing damage plus 3 electrical damage with her magic cold iron weapon. Can she tell if this one bypassed DR? . As best I understand it constructs can be critted so all that damage - DR of course should have gone through, right.

Olimpia Beta II |

Olimpia tries to tumble around behind Hellion and flank with Raktar.
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (15) + 15 = 30
+1 cold iron wakizashi, flank: 1d20 + 11 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 11 + 2 = 301d8 + 7 + 1d6 + 3d6 ⇒ (1) + 7 + (3) + (1, 6, 2) = 20
Confirm +1 cold iron wakizashi, flank: 1d20 + 11 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 11 + 2 = 221d8 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15

Figgy Greasefitter |

Figgy moves up slowly as the spell is still locking his muscles from working properly. Figgy then throws the vial of acid he has in his hands.
Acid splash: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 141d6 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10 targeting the tail

GM_DBH |

Olimpia. Your +1 Cold iron wakizashi confirmed it's crit. The other did not.
Will save vs Recoil fire: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27 Making me waste a nat 20!
Hellion Ignores Dilana's spell.
Entropic shield: 1d100 ⇒ 46
Jeremiah finally reaches the range he wants and fires, blowing a chunk out of Hellion
Raktar breaks free.
Olimpia dances gracefully behind the metal beast, driving her weapon deep into it.
His aim warped by his slowed senses Figgy misses Hellion, a few drops of acid sizzle on the tail.
Hellion now looks severely damaged, he whirls to face Olimpia and attacks with his claws and Plasma weapon, trying to destroy the danger that is harming him.
Claw: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (10) + 11 = 21
Claw: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (10) + 11 = 21 Noooo!!!
Plasma ranged touch: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 18
Plasma ranged touch: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16
Plasma ranged touch: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15 I repeat. Noooo!!!
Now desperate he casts a spell on Olimpia.
Moonstruck
Will save DC18 Please Olimpia. It is a Mind effecting spell.
The party may now act. Olimpia, if you failed you are dazed this round and have dropped your weapons.

Jeremiah Johnston |

Watching the machine god flail in desperation brought a slow smile to the slinger's face. He was outnumbered, outmagiced, and out of luck. Once more, he pulled the trigger on his weapon, doing his best to put the bastard machine down once and for all.

GM_DBH |

Entropic shield 20% miss chance: 1d100 ⇒ 49
Jeremiah sees a gap in Hellions armor, left by damage caused previously, he seizes his chance and places his shot directly into the gap.
Plasma Explosion: 8d4 ⇒ (3, 1, 2, 4, 4, 4, 2, 3) = 23
Hellion seems to freeze. "Nooo!" He wails as his divinity is shown to be a lie. Sparks fly and suddenly he explodes violently in a ball of plasma.
Olimpia & Raktar DC14 reflex save for half damage please.
Loot
The only thing you are able to salvage from the wreckage of the machine god are two Facets. An Ego facet, and a Rage facet.
Congratulations, Hellion is defeated! Everyone can now level up.
Olimpia still needs to make that save though, it could be very nasty for the party if she doesn't. :)

Olimpia Beta II |

Will Save: 1d20 + 5 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 5 + 4 = 11
A dazed look comes into Olympia's eyes and both swords clatter to the ground.
Reflex Save: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (19) + 11 = 30
She has the where-with-all to step aside and avoid all the damage from the exploding construct.
Not sure this spell effects Olympia, or maybe not fully, As an android she is immune to emption effects like Rage. So Maybe only the daze components come into effect? I am really not sure if any part of this is considered emotion...

GM_DBH |

I agree, sadly for Hellion, when dealing with the person who was damaging him the most he had little else but Mind effecting and emotion spells. I'm ruling you aren't in Rage, but the other half of the spell is working. You are effected by the Confusion part of the spell.

Dilana Hemlock |

Still a little hyped up from the fight Dilana talks pretty fast.
"So that was it? He is dead that easy? So we run Scrapwall now I guess. What should we do now, make someone else be our arena champion?"
She looks around "Actually, I guess Jeremiah killed him so you can say your a god slayer.... Olimpia, are you ok?"

Figgy Greasefitter |

Figgy looks around, "Sorry I wasn't more help, that spell it hurt." FIggy holds his head and sides, trying to stop the world from spinning. "We should go back out and let the people know they are free?"

Olimpia Beta II |

Confusion: 1d100 ⇒ 31
Olimpia’s eyes remain unfocused. Hey weapons are
Laying on the ground and she begins to babble incoherently.
This encounter is not over...

Jeremiah Johnston |

"So that was it? He is dead that easy? So we run Scrapwall now I guess. What should we do now, make someone else be our arena champion?"
"Don't think that's how it works, but no one can deny that we're the biggest badasses in town."
She looks around "Actually, I guess Jeremiah killed him so you can say your a god slayer....
"As much as I like being called JJ the God Slayer, this bastard was still a machine that could cast and give out spells to his little cult. To me, that's scary."
...Olimpia, are you ok?"
Perception: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (8) + 11 = 19
Looking back to Olimpia, JJ did notice she was acting a bit oddly, especially since she now had claws and elongated teeth. "...What kind of voodo did he hit her with?
Raktar dodges the worst of the explosion, but still takes enough damage to drop to the ground unconscious.
Still, he was more worried worried about Raktar to question it further. "Di, Figgy, get him up!" He shouted as he moved closer to his comrade.
Move 15 feet.

Dilana Hemlock |

Finally noticing Raktar Dilana gasps and get out her healing wand.
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
"Maybe I need to worry less about beating a god then my teammates. I am sorry about that."

Olimpia Beta II |

We need to say in initiative order until that spell ends Dilana So one spell at a time.
Confusion: 1d100 ⇒ 67
Still with distant stare in her eyes Olimpia's now clawed hand rips into her own midriff. The cuts are only scratches but begin to well with blood.
Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 1

Figgy Greasefitter |

Figgy looks at Olimpia with a sideways glance.
Knowlege engi or mech both at 19: 1d20 ⇒ 9
As Olimpia tears into herself Figgy moves to try to stop her, Disable device: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (11) + 16 = 27

Figgy Greasefitter |

That is where the knowledge checks would kick in, I did get 30 to both to figure out something If I can, if not he will just stay way and try to help getting Raktar up on his feet

Jeremiah Johnston |

Figgy, she's under a spell effect, yet you use Knowledge Engineering or Mechanics? He gave us a Spellcraft DC to identify it when he first casted. Use that or Knowledge Arcana.
Seeing Olimpia hurt herself, JJ immediately realized something was wrong with her. He only grew a bit confused as Figgy tried to disable her. Instead of waiting on others to find a solution, JJ moved for a more practical one. Letting his Inferno pistol hit the floor for the time being, he reached for his Stun Gun and took aim to try and knock her out before she did more damage to herself or anyone else.

Raktar Garnok |

Apologies for the slow posting team, had a poorly toddler all weekend so only just catching up with my games.
Raktar suddenly comes round, his skin burning with pain and his head spinning. He sits up and sees Hellion's robot form collapsed into the dust. He also spots Olimpia looking very confused and clawing at herself. "What's going on?" he asks, pulling himself to his feet and picking up his hammer.
Move Action to stand up, Move Action to pick up my hammer.

Figgy Greasefitter |

I missed that, I see an android acting strangely figgy is going to do what he does best
spellcraft: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (20) + 13 = 33
"Stay back she is crazed by the moon." Figgy yells.

Olimpia Beta II |

Not good. Olimpia would have acted normally this round but now that she has been attacked she locks onto her attacker and does not roll any more...
In her third round of confusion Olimpai scoops up her enchanted cold iron blade and 5' stepping, slices at JJ. Her dazed look is now replaced with one of confused hatred.
+1 cold iron wakizashi: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (1) + 11 = 121d8 + 7 + 1d6 ⇒ (4) + 7 + (5) = 16

Jeremiah Johnston |

For when the next round starts.
"I'm a god slayer, Olimp's hurting herself, and I'm gonna stun her non-lethaly."
"Stay back she is crazed by the moon." Figgy yells.
"Can someone translate that to plain common?" The slinger asked before Olimp's slice misses him. "Whoa! Don't worry, I got this!" He said confidently before stepping back and taking aim at her.

Olimpia Beta II |

Would be cool if Shield boosted touch AC vs these shots, but alas I am pretty sure it does not so both of those will hit. Will wait to see if anyone else is gonna jump in before Olimpia attacks again.

Dilana Hemlock |

Sticking with healing for three turns since I led with that not realizing we were still in combat..

Olimpia Beta II |

Unthinking and enraged Olimpia picks up her second sword, steps forward, again and cuts at JJ, but still cannot find that chink in his armor.
+1 cold iron wakizashi: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (9) + 11 = 201d8 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9
Still only one attack. Will be two attacks next round IF she is standing, which is doubtful.

Jeremiah Johnston |

"She is basically a werewolf right now, crazed and singular and she is looking to kill us all." Figgy continues to back away.
"Give her a nap, got it! JJ acknowledged as he felt his armor save him from her blade. She had the advantage in close combat, but he had the longer sword in a figurative sense. Still, he didn't want to hurt her too badly, even non-leathly. So, when he lined himself up once more, he tried to do so without hurting her too badly.
Five foot step back
Stun Gun vs. Olimpia
Stun Gun vs Touch: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (18) + 14 = 32
Non-Lethal Damage: 1d8 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9
Let's see.. you had 37/56. With this, my total Non-lethal damage dealt is 41. So, according to the rules, because it exceeds your current HP, you should be unconscious.

Raktar Garnok |

Raktar sees the obviously confused Olimpia launch her attacks against JJ, and isn't much less confused himself. He quickly moves over to JJ and tries to interpose his hammer between him and Olimpia's swords.

Olimpia Beta II |

The unnatural rage is still in her eyes as Olimpia crumples to the ground. Both held swords clatter around her.
You guys "could" have waited to see if she was ever gonna attack anyone in the party. lol. I had already rolled to see what she would do the round after you attacked her and it was act normally. She would have dropped her other sword as she double moved away from the party.

Jeremiah Johnston |

You guys "could" have waited to see if she was ever gonna attack anyone in the party. lol. I had already rolled to see what she would do the round after you attacked her and it was act normally. She would have dropped her other sword as she double moved away from the party.
Could have, but I lacked the knowledge that you were going to act freely that next round, so I tried to do what would work fastest, which would be a KO. In reality though, if I had known, I would have likely retreated. Sorry Olimp. No hard feelings?
With their comrade safely unconscious, JJ sheathed both her weapons and his before grabbing the salvagable tech from Hellion and throwing her over his shoulder. "C'mon. Let's recharge our gear and go see the cleric."
Applying level up to character now.

Olimpia Beta II |

Of course no hard feelings. But also you might have lacked the knowledge of how the confusion spell worked. Was trying to make it sorta creepy. Of course Figgy was all "Shes a werewolf! Shes a werewolf!" too. lol.

Dilana Hemlock |

"Regardless we should go see her, maybe she will want to travel with us to Torch at the very least. We should probably check in with Redtooth as well before we move on. Honestly I just would like to see home again, maybe show my father how powerful his little girl has become. Of course he will probably just be drunk."

Raktar Garnok |

"You're right, Dinvaya and Redtooth have done so much for us while we've been here. We should check in on them and make sure that the twin will be safe in their hands once we've gone," Raktar suggests.

Dilana Hemlock |

"I guess leaving Redtooth in control would make the most sense. The woman at the gate, I wonder if she would work with Redtooth. Seems better to build a society to me but I guess it is up to them."

GM_DBH |

INTRIGUE IN IADENVEIGH.
At the end of the previous adventure, You defeated the mad artificial
intelligence known as Hellion, but have learned that it was not the only one of its kind. Between information gleaned from the walls Hellion's lair and from the pages of its minions (particularly the priest Nalakai and the orc barbarian Kulgara), you have learned that a much more dangerous and more powerful entity dwells in Silver Mount-an entity that Hellion despised and feared known as "Unity."
More importantly, you have learned of the android oracle Casandalee, a prophet and onetime worshiper of Unity whom Hellion regarded as something of a kindred spirit-even as a sister. Hellion believed that Casandalee knew much of Unity: its defenses, its weaknesses, and ways it could be combated.
Before mounting its assault on Silver Mount, Hellion wanted desperately to track down Casandalee, for according to its information, she fled Silver Mount after betraying Unity and took with her a device known as a Neurocam_ Much information could well be stored on that device-or, at the very least, her brain could be mined for clues.
Hellion's information indicates that Casandalee's flight from Unity ended inside a buried fragment of the crashed starship Destiny, under what is now the town of ladenveigh, yet the artificial intelligence hadn't had the chance to mount an expedition to investigate.
Your efforts in Scrapwall, while grueling were also profitable. You've spent some time in Hajoth Hakados with the unfamiliar, but enjoyable experience of having plenty of coin to spend.
But the pleasant break is over all too soon, you take the boat upriver to Torch to speak with those who sent you to Scrapwall.
What are you doing now?
