While he knew they would be discovered eventually, JJ hoped it wouldn't have been so soon. Still, can't get upset about it now. Instead, he just readied himself for the coming storm, waiting for the first idiot to shot his face so it could be melted.

The central doors fly open and two men wearing Hellions symbol stand there for a brief moment, then die loudly and messily as they are torn to shreds by Figgy's fragmentation grenade.

The south door opens and a further group of the men pour out calling out the name of Hellion loudly. Jeremiah calmly ends one with a shot, while Raktar smashes another to pulp.

Dilana, you can't see anyone yet from where you are.

The last two have used their move to get where they are and won't be attacking this round.

Botting Olimpia, who uses stealth to prepare to ambush whoever comes out the last door?

Figgy's eyes go wide as the men die, Figgy then cringes as he sees what happens from the grenade.

"That was a little more.... explosive? Than I thought it would be, whoever came up with that creation really didn't want anyone to survive." Figgy moves with the group trying to say in the middle. "I think you could survive that Springy with a metal body you should be able to migate a lot of the effects that take place on a flesh body."

The last ganger emerges through the far door next to Olimpia and Raktar times his assault to follow on the heels of JJ's shooting. He charges across the room, past Dilana and JJ, his hammer crashing towards the outnumbered cultist.

Nalakai has barely stopped swinging when Jeremiah staggers him with a shot, followed by Raktar caving in his skull.

R2. Nalakai's quarters.

One item here is of interest to the party:
the half-orc's prayer book. This journal, which sits on a small table next to the cleric's cot, is filled primarily with prayers to Hellion.

The journal is written in Orc, and interpreting its dense, crabbed writing requires a successful DC 20 Linguistics
check.

Journal:

Reading it reveals a recurring theme in the prayers-Hellion's primary goal, it seems, is to destroy something his worshipers know only as the " Source" or the "Prime."
It is clear that Hellion is some sort of offspring of an even greater menace, one that Hellion seeks to eradicate in part as vengeance for a period of time that Hellion served the Source as a slave, but primarily so that Hellion can take control of this more powerful entity's resources.
By studying the prayers you can deduce that this powerful entity, whom Hellion hopes to kill and replace, dwells somewhere below Silver Mount.

R3. Cultist Barracks.

Nothing of interest.

R4. Backup Batteries.
The north wall of this room is a tangle of ruins and debris, while in the center of the room stand four tall pillars with glowing bands of pale purple light pulsing along their sides.

The pillars contain energy and can be used to recharge any batteries or devices you have, but you need a power cable to do so.

R5. Sacrifice Disposal Pit.
A bitter stink of chemicals with an underlying reek of decaying flesh fills the air of this cavern. A platform of gray metal, worn smooth and free of dust, extends over a ten-foot-deep pit filled with rubble-strangely polished rubble.

This room is where the cult disposes of the bodies of those Hellion deems unworthy or those it otherwise condemns to death. Dropping sacrificial remains into the pit is one of Nalakai's responsibilities; the actual work of destroying these bodies falls to the advanced gray ooze that dwells in the chamber.

The Ooze is at the bottom of the pit and doesn't bother you unless you jump in? :)

The only way down is the passage off R3.

Raktar cleans off his hammer with a rag as he looks round the now open rooms. "Looks like they had a nice set up here," he says. "No wonder they had become so powerful so quickly. Seems these stairs down are our only way forward."

Has anyone got a power cable? Now would seem to be a great opportunity to recharge as much as we can. Figgy - could you make me a power cable during our next downtime so that I can keep my armour and batteries topped off?

"I worry about what will become of Scrapwall once we are done with this Hellion. Someone could start quite a kingdom with the resources here I would think. Maybe it will become a real community over time."

Gotta work on my response time.Olimpia blinks as the last Hellion follower is brought low by her companions. As the loot is reviewed she suggests JJ, you should wear this gauntlet so that you are always armed for melee fighting.

When the group is ready she will lead the way down the stairs at R3, stealthing and searching for traps as she goes.

Not that we aren't killing things quickly but maybe give them a touch more HP if you want? I like doing that as a GM just helps make things live that extra round

"I won't say no to having a very pointy fist." JJ says as he ejected his weapon's depleted battery and replaced it with a new one, filling it's charges to full, before taking the gauntlet and putting it on. "Still, it would be bad if I got into melee fights.

Dilana busies herself casting detect magic around the rooms as they go. Taking her time so nothing is missed. She spends extra time on any of the fallen bodies.

S6. Kulgara's Quarters.
The eastern half of this room appears to be some sort of workshop, with all manner of metalworking tools hanging from the walls over junk-strewn tables. To the west, a sagging cot sits against a partially crumpled metal wall next to a two-foot-tall metal cabinet.
Dozens of empty tubes from which strange fluids drip lie in a heap atop the chest. What looks like a partially completed and crudely constructed mechanical orc marionette or machine slumps against a metal cage-like frame at the foot of the cot.

As the door opens a large female Orc whirls to face it in shock, oddly her weapon is a finely maintained chainsaw?

A surprise round for you as she has been caught unprepared. What is the party doing?

As the door opens to reveal the orc, JJ blanched at the sight of her weapon. Instead of uttering some kind of one-liner, he let the Facemelter do the talking and opened up with a quick shot.

The workshop is an affront to Raktar, the haphazard mess of half-formed items offensive to his orderly mind. The opening door draws his attention and he sees the dangerous looking weapon in the orc's hands. The curved chain seems wickedly sharp, so Raktar tries to deal with it, channelling the heat of the forge into her weapon before gripping his hammer and preparing to fight.

Surprise Round Standard Action to cast burning disarm on the chainsaw. The orc must attempt a DC 13 Reflex save. If she passes, she drops the weapon. If she fails she takes 5d4 ⇒ (1, 1, 1, 2, 1) = 6 fire damage as the weapon becomes red hot.

As always at the back of the line Dilana cannot see what is going on and so moves forward to get a view.

JJ's fear of the orc's weapon seems reasonable to Raktar. Though he'd never seen one before it looked unpleasantly dangerous. He runs in through the door and tries to smash the orc with his hammer before she can bring her weapon to bear on Olimpia.

Move Action to move 10ft, Standard Action to attack the orclady. It's been more than a minute since I last expanded my armour so it will have retracted into compact form. I can re-expand it as an immediate action if I'm attacked.

@Olimpia. As you are next to Kulgara yes you can make a Slight of hand check to grab the grenade and throw it somewhere away from the party. Tell me which door you are throwing the grenade through. Kulgara is dead by the way, she used Ferocity to arm the grenade as her last action. :)

I would've liked to try a Utility Shot to shoot the grenade (Scoot Unattended Object) to send it flying into the next room, but I doubt you would've let that fly. So instead, I can try something else.

Hearing that the chainsaw wasn't the only dangerous thing in that room, JJ immediately charged in to help her get the thing away from the group.

4 Ranks + 3 from Class Skill + 5 (currently seven thanks to Cat's Grace) from Dex = +12/14 and one mean roll when high enough. XD

The slinger was relieved that he helped the group. He was a bit less relieved when an orc reminded him of the dangerous situation he put himself into by running into the room. Being effectively boxed in, he takes a quick step back and gives his gun a quick smack before opening up on the orc in front of him. "Die already, you Hellion loving freaks!"
