Yep, time to buff. Thanks for the Keen Edge Raktar. Love that spell. :) I am assuming that setting off the grenade rendered Olimpia visible but have not heard for sure.
Olimpia casts Shield on herself, activates her Gravity Clip and asks about the potions of cat's grace. Did we have a supply of these potions? She also offers Figgy her arc grenade. Electric Damage.

Back down where they started Dilana mumbles to herself asking her patron to help protect her form bodily harm. That done she shrugs and draws the Ray of Enfeeblement wand.

JJ downs the concoction quickly and shakes off the offputting taste. He wasn't going to complain since the long term benefits outweighed the temporary present. Still, now he was ready and able to take on whatever threat lied ahead and proceeded with the others.

Figgy, my armour is already adamantine so won't benefit from increased DR, may as well save it for someone else.
Raktar gratefully accepts the potion from Figgy, swallowing it down and savouring it's faint malty taste. He instantly feels his skin harden, though it doesn't restrict his movement at all. "Thanks Figgy," he says, "that's most welcome."

T3. Hellion's Redoubt
On the southern wall of this sprawling cavern, a massive wheel of metal buckets lined with sharp edges is embedded, partially buried, in the wall.
The latticework of metal girders connects to the wheel.
The whole of the device comprises a long mechanical arm ending in a metal wheel far larger than any mill's waterwheel.
Ahead you can see three robots, all man sized though of extremely patchy workmanship, they seem to be watching the entrance while a large robot, resembling a scorpion seems to be intently staring at the far wall?

As JJ listened to their plans, he was getting a bit antsy for some shooting. He was more than ready, but was getting impatient.

My understanding was that we released her back to the astral plane as we weren't convinced that she wouldn't betray us, despite potentially being a powerful ally. I might have missed something though if others thought she was fighting alongside us.

I think she was only agreeing to fight along side us until we figured out a way to send her home. It was never my intent to force her to help us for her freedom. If she chose to help us that would be cool.

"Sounds good to me," Raktar adds. "Try and keep the big one occupied while we cut down it's bodyguards," he suggests. "They don't look so tough, Olimpia and I should have much difficulty cutting a path through to the scorpion-looking one."
The distance between the group and the guardian robots is clearly too great to cross before the robots spot them though. "Looks like we should be able to get a volley of shots and spells off before we clash."
In the spirit of moving things forward I'll list my actions, assuming there's not a lot else we're going to do before we attack.
Once everyone is ready and the plan is settled, Raktar grips his hammer and rushes forward. He summons his magic, the heat of the forge burning within him. He channels the heat into one of the robots, hoping that it will disrupt whatever mechanisms keep it going.
Move Action to move 40ft, Standard Action to cast heat metal on yellow, targeting whatever metal I can, ideally any armour. It can make a DC 14 Will save to negate.

"Ok, lets see if I can blind some of them. Lightning will be next."
Always impulsive Dilana steps to a spot with a clear line of sight and utters a few words before bringing her hands up. On her shoulder her little scorpion mimes her gestures. As the hands / pincers reach full height a cloud of golden glitter envelopes some of the robots.

With the others starting to scramble for position, JJ put the pedal to the metal and followed in, keeping pace with Raktar and using him as cover.

Raktar grimaces as Hellion's bolts of burning gas strike him, singeing his already-scarred flesh. He focuses on clearing out the robot bodyguards, smashing his hammer into the nearest one before activating his armour with a thought.
