Vorrak moves down the side of the building weapons drawn. He has learned sneaking and him never mixed well. Much less in his armor.

Evendur and Zillyanna are still allowed to post an action, after that initiative starts. Vorrak has been noticed, the rest of you will still get advantage for surprising them.

With the civilians moving to safety the priests expression slides from his naturally downcast expression into one of grim determination - the dark business of violence was about to begin and some souls would find themselves torn from what time they had on this mortal coil to stand before the judgement seat of Kelemvor.

It seems Kelemvor does not approve of your life choices :)

The group sneak into position while Evendur blesses Zillyanna praying for Kelemvor's guidance. Hutch and Vorrak, knowing they will not remain unnoticed with all their armor charge forward to meet the foes head-on, the raiders notice their approach and begin shouting among each other, drawing scimitars and daggers.
Zillyanna takes aim at one of the hooded humans and releases an arrow, but despite their distraction and the divine guidance, the cloaked man sees the arrow coming and ducks at the last moment.

The winged kobold sees the attackers and scrambles over the roof and drops prone on the other side.

the winged Kobold is out of line of side from your side of the building, has 3/4 cover (+5 AC, +5 to reflex saves) against attacks from the short side of the building and is prone (attacks from more than 5 ft. away have disadvantage)

Due to the number of enemy initiative groups I will let you post your action out of sequence, but please try to only do it if you think you won't be able to post soon when your turn comes up. I want to keep the game flowing but also avoid confusion

Zilyana, Vorrak, Hutch and Zillyanna are up. Zilyana still has advantage, the other three have been spotted.

Something I keep forgetting

History or Religion DC 15:
The human's grey cloaks belong match descriptions you've heard of, of the Cult of the Dragon. Worshippers of the Dragon Queen, Tiamat

Arcana or Nature DC 12:
The beastial creature is an ambush drake. These creatures instinctively go for vital organs and weakspots, if their targets are open. As a result they are more deadly if they can surprise their prey.

I had thought talks of a cult worshiping Tiamat to be nothing more than stories for the road, and yet here they are, if the descriptions of them from those stories are to be believed..

Venali watches as Hutch rushes forward, shaking his head at the man's hot-headedness. Poor fool probably doesn't even know what he is running towards. Rushing an ambush drake like that is asking for trouble, even without the cult members in the equation. Bigger than I thought they'd be though, might need to update the dimensions in the diagrams in the grand archives.

He smiles as Zilyana takes down one of the cultists in a single shot, As much as I want to bring at least one of these in for questioning, I can't argue with results. His gaze lowers to Zilyana's backside, Can't really complain about my current position either.

Top of Round 1
Zilyana takes aim at the human who was still straightening back up from ducking her namesake's arrow, looking at the arrow now stuck in the wall behind him, it looked like he couldn't believe his luck, which promptly ran out when the drow's arrow pierced through the back of his head, and out of his open mouth. He collapsed on the spot.

Vorrak approaches the enemy group shield up and sword ready.

Hutch charges into the fray bringing his halberd down on the cloaked man in front of him. The man barely manages to step back as the blade cuts a wound through his armor and across his chest. As he reels in pain hutch reverses the momentum of his weapon and smashes its butt into the man's face. Bruised and cut, the man still stood somehow. Human #2 has taken 7 damage

Zillyanna lines up another arrow at one of the humans. The arrow flies straight, but a confused Kobold stumbles into the line of fire, stopping the projectile's momentum with its skull. The reptilian collapses dead. Kobold 2 got hit instead due to rules for hitting cover

Vak disappears in the shadows between the buildings.

The remaining cloaked men and women begin circling around hutch, swords ready.

Zilyana takes aim for the beast attacking Vorrak, she releases her arrow pierces deep into the side of its neck and it lets out a pained whine.

Vorrak circles around the creature with a vicious overhead swing of his longsword. The blade bites deep into its hide trailing thick, dark blood as the dragonborn withdraws the weapon from its flesh.

Hutch's halberd arcs toward the cloaked man he attacked before, the man tries to interpose his scimitar and block the swing but the curved sword is pushed out of the way by the force of the blow. The halberd sinks into the man's skull, forcing him to his knees, hutch swings the butt end of the weapon around uppercutting his chin sending his lifeless body flying backwards.

Zillyanna sees Hutch being surrounded by raiders and releases a quick arrow at one of the people flanking him. The projectile punces through the target's leg, and nearly sends him to his knees, but the hooded raider manages to stand.

Zilyana decides to step out from behind the house, taking aim at the wounded human (#1) and opening fire.

"If there's anyone left alive on the dragon's side, now's a good time to surrender!"

Bow Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20
Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6

Zilyana's arrow strikes the wounded raider in the neck sending him down.

Hutch's halberd swings toward the remaining raider but he manages to parry with his scimitar. The polearm's butt however comes through the opening and breaks the man's nose.

Zillyanna trains her arrow on the remaining man and encourages him to stop fighting. He looks around briefly and drops his scimitar, raising his arms.

The man looks Vorrak up and down: "What are you expecting to hear?"

Meanwhile another Kobold-like sounding voice is heard from the roof.

Draconic:
"Fight for shiny dragon man!"

Then a pained screech rings out.

Venali, seeing the brunt of the threat is over, and seeing that the kobolds fled away from the family, turns to the house they were attempting to break into. He looks up at the roof, where he heard Vak speaking to what sounds like another kobold. "Well this isn't good...

He darts towards the house, jumping as he nears the house to grab at the thatch roof. Assuming this is a single story building.

I won't complain if your God heals me. This is a bit more blood than I expected to bleed. Hutch says humbly.
