So, we have:
1. Eric Sklavos playing Dorian Farahan, the elven Mooncaller Druid. (Not sure why you get to be #1, but hey, someone has to head this list!)
2. Zahir ibn Mahmoud ibn Jothan playing Choraak, the Strix Bard. (A flying buffer! Better than an in-flight buffet!)
3. TheWaskally playing Jaro Vasilis, the Cheliaxan Paladin of Ragathiel. (Ragathiel is SO COOL! Great thematic pick.)
4. Johnnycat93 playing Wyllen Ungebrochen, Half-Orc Beast-Rider Chavalier(Almost wrote "Breast-Rider," Hello Freud!)
5. Deaths Adorable Apprentice playing Beatrix Gott, Human Oracle Seer. (Not statted out as of yet)
6. Bob Evil, playing Marcaius the Azlanti Cleric of Groetus. (Crazy-awesome!)
7. My Handsome self (Lieutenant Paladine), playing Falstaff the Wanderer, Gnoll Warden and Trapper Ranger of Desna.
8. Donithus playing Borehole Stormrager, Half-Orc Unchained Barbarian (Whose hitpoint totals are off, by the way. 12 Base+2 Con+1 Fav. Class [And now I feel like I'm speaking down to you. Oops. Sorry about that.])
9. Ginganinga playing Alexis Lialda, Human Brown-fur Transmuter Arcanist. (As if we didn't have enough furry things in the party! ;D)
10. CampinCarl9127 playing Aviz, Strix Airborne Ambush Fighter. (Dive-bombing frontliner? What's not to like?)

Barring Deaths Adorable Apprentice, everyone on this list has posted a complete character. I didn't list everyone who expressed interest, but those who have done more than that.

Let's see... 4 Full casters, 1 Half-caster, 5 full martials. That's an interesting mix.

There. All presented nicely in one post.

I have yet to create an profile with a picture but I have stated her out minus the feat and equipment and posted it. She will be finished after I sleep off the nine and a half hour work day.

Just a heads up, I didn't change any of the crunch or fluff, but I fixed some grammatical errors in my profile and added a spell component pouch to my gear (it was already paid for and included in the cleric's kit and carrying capacity, I just forgot to list it the first time around). I also substituted the holy symbol and holy text for an unholy symbol and unholy text, because apparently that makes a difference for a negative energy channeler.

Lol, thanks friend it was 2 am when I was finishing up the crunch. Hit points have now been readjusted

Oh, there's a reason I'm #1 . . .

i like this concept.
i shall create a rogue...

Love it.
Making a Magus...

OK, you jackals, you got me. I didn't really want to reject any of the applications anyway.
As of this moment, all who submitted applications (according to Flastaff's fine list) are going to be accepted. in 12 hours, or until 2 more applications are submitted, applications are still open for a maximum of 12 players in this campaign. We will see how character/player retention goes, but this will likely allow for easier party splits, and a bit more flexibility when it comes to posting every day. Tomorrow I will add people to the player list, start up the campaign and discussion threads, and message those that need some tweaking. Hopefully to get started by Friday, cause I am pretty dang excited about it. Let's see how it goes, cause this is all new territory to me now.
I hope you're all pleased with yourselfs, pressuring the DM like that. Now I've gotta make these CRs 3 times higher grumble grumble.

Two Strix! Craziness!

Are you planning on running two tables? In my experience, running a single table with that many players would be complete chaos.

Indeed! We are going to own the air! Kudos for making a strix bard, an exceptionally rare combination.

Over half of you are outcasts in some form or another, you're gonna get evil-eyed out of 60% of the towns you go too unless you're just a big group of suspicious hoods and robes concealing wings, horns, etc. And one Paladin. Should be fun.

That might be a good idea, though I'm not sure - can I just make a seperate thread and attach it or should I make a whole new campaign (within the context of the forums, obviously they would be a part of two different parts of the same campaign)?

Every party needs a face.

We aren't a party, we're a mob.

Every mob needs a face.

... gotta hurry up with my character then

It's up to you if you want the two different parties to exist in the same world. Regardless of the decision you would need a new thread, but it's entirely your decision if you want to simply run two different universes of the same campaign, or if you want to run two different parties doing different things in the same universe.

Most online games have a few drops early on and who hasn't longed for the single-minded simplicity of a mob.

Thinking about it, but I can see advantages to either. I think for now I might let the party stay in one thread for the first level or two - there may be a bit of roleplaying ick if people post over each other or get ninja'd. But since the first quest is basically a short walking tour (spoilers), I can see how combat runs/roleplaying goes. After that, I can decide how to switch things up if necessary, and keep people in the same game world, even if the group splits into two pieces. But yeah, I've seen my share of drops, so I'll play it by ear. It's just 12 people, how bad could it be?

DM Visser wrote:

Famous last words.

Does this mean we're the....Mob squad? Also I have added a few items that would have been scavenged as well as a couple of gold. Borehole is starting off with much less due to his background But i fell it will be a very interesting character to play.

Although I might have to ask either Borehole or Wyllen to switch up character portraits because that will be a bit confusing with them under the same portrait >_>

We're cousins, don't worry about it.

See, in his profile picture he's clearly agitated. In mine, however, I'm simply disgruntled.

The two couldn't be more different.

Wyllen has a bit of "come hither" in his eyes, whereas Borehole seems much more distant. It's nuance, but we bards pickup on such things.

All you half orcs look the same to me anyway. What's the difference?

Borehole feels strange magic fall over him as a look of confusion covers his face. He doesn't feel different but to others he looks much different now.

I went ahead and changed mine it could be confusing. Besides my charisma is for intimidation now the picture fits better...He's staring into your soul

I cannot find a trait that gives Handle Animal and since its trained only I am sad. A Seer needs a horse and a colorful covered wagon. Sadly I think I can afford a pony and a cart but I need a Handle Animal for this. If I work on it in game can I learn the skill? Or take a drawback and get that skill?

Here you go Beatrix, Beast Bond Trait: You gain a +1 bonus on Handle Animal checks and Ride checks. One of these skills (your choice) is always a class skill for you.

Jungle Guide, Savannah Child, Beast Bond.

Yay for internet people!

It could just be Hero Lab people! That little tool makes finding a trait or feat that does what you want quite an easy accomplishment.

Not sure that 12 people have posted yet; dont have the time really, got to get going to town and stuff. But heres my character:
Faralen E. Ealdewood

He is not completely done yet but when i get back home in liiikkkkeee 7 hours, i will do the traits and personals (description, backstory, ect.). Hopefully see ya then.

By the way, thank you for running this and taking all of us on. I'm excited to play this campaign, especially with the eclectic group that's gathered at the town square.

Ok I will organize the rest of it after work. And yay! I wannna play. I have wanted to do a Seer for some time. I am going to enjoy this

All the cool kids use the search function on Archive of Nethys when they want to find something ^_^

Bringing this special group of adventurers is going to take some flexible Dming.

Nethys is lacking so many things though! No skills, no real rules.

It's great for Races, Classes, Spells, Feats/Traits, and Monsters though

Just a head's up for those people who love animals: they won't come within 30ft of me. I chose the drawback "Warded Against Nature," choosing to skin it as a kind of Predator's Aura.

Plus it just seems cool. My character is such a manly hunter even animals won't go near him.

And for the whole Archives of Nethys vs Hero Lab, I use the PRD, the wiki, this awesome website, Trovetokens, and Archives of Nethys.

Pfft, please.

I ordain my statblocks using chicken bones and tea leaves.

I believe my animal companion is immune to this, but he still probably won't like you.

I believe you'll need us to dot into the gameplay thread before we show up in the characters and players screens.

When folks go to dot in, they should post something. Wait a second, and delete the post immediately. That way we don't get the thread clogged up with 12 "dot" posts, but we do get people into the game.

OK, I really hate to do this to you guys, but I'm afraid I have to backtrack on my allowing for EVERYONE to be accepted. I really like everyone's characters, and it will be tough to make decisions, but the time involved with making a campaign work combined with myself being a newbie to this format, I feel like I need to try and deliver a great experience to 6 people, rather than something that would be sub-par and probably hard to follow for 12.

Still, Applications will continue to be open until tonight, and tomorrow I'll go over everything and make an announcement about who I picked. Again, I'm sorry, but I think this is a much better path to take and I probably shouldn't have made that announcement to begin with. So the applications close for real in 6 hours or so (probably if you make it when I'm asleep there's some wiggle room) and then I will let everyone know in the morning.

Well, you gotta do what you think is best, rather than take on more than you can reasonably handle. Nothing to do but cross our fingers.

Good luck everybody!

No worries GM!

Best of luck with selection, I don't envy you having to narrow them down with so many excellent submissions!

If that is what you feel most comfortable with then it's all good

I totally understand. I just recently started running my first PbP campaign (It was actually a live campaign that had to be moved to PbP due to me moving across country) and there is a small learning curve. I apologize if my earlier post about expanding the roster put pressure on you to do so. That was not my intention and I feel bad about it. Do what's best for you to tell your story. Good luck with your choices and good luck to all the applicants.

Alright, I'm back and there's more time, cool. I had a bit of overtime at work today so it is a bit later than I thought. But Faralen will be done tonight. MARK MY WORDS XD
In all seriousness though, I respect your decision GM. It would be a bit hectic with 12 players running amok in the gameplay thread, but beyond that knowing when everyone has had a chance of contributing to a scene or plot event. Things can move REAL fast with 12 people.

"There's a door, it's locked on multiple scales involving both magic and engineering"
"Have no fear group, my rogue was built for this situation"
**Player tunes out for an hour so that locks can be picked as he cant do anything about the door.......... Returns**
"And the 37 dragons and 4 draconian lich priests are now dead..."

I have yet to see that one but it sound like fun :)

It wasn't at all.
Though I will say the game broke and forged friendships that day... all according to what side of the table we now sit on. Terribly, terribly overpowered homebrew...

As well, almost done with Faralen. Have most of it completed on notepad but I will update it to the profile page when the backstory is done... have to work out a few things.

Ok, Faralen W. Ealdewood is Done. I tried going another route with background than I usually do and hopefully it is something that couples with 'Interesting'. One of my hands is buggered up from work today, got a wire stuck a few centimeters through it and its been in pain since which has made me make all sorts of errors in typing, then I have to redo it, and then it starts becoming strenuous and time consuming, and blah blah blah. Needless to say, I Blame my hand as I would have wrote more and in better depth. But, bleh, It's done. So, Huzzah.
