*holds up hands in a sort of defensive gesture while laughing hysterically* I'm sorry....I'm sorry...I just...I can't help it...I'm so sorry.

"I know," Elena says as she starts cleaning her face at the sink.

Stéphane steps out of the door a few minutes later and smiles at Elsa. "Ready for our drink?"

Somehow, she wasn't sure how, all the resolve she had built up to tell this peacock off just melted away. "I am, and I think I know a place."

"Lead the way, s'il vous plaît," Stéphane says, offering his arm to Elsa.

I like him Sis. *wink wink, nudge nudge* Know what I mean, know what I mean? Lol Sorry...even after everything we've been through today...I'm just really relieved and still feeling a little silly I guess?

While Elena cleans up, Kāma gets them fresh towels, humming to herself.

What was I doing again? Lol....I can't even remember.

Again, not knowing what was coming over her, Elsa took his arm and led him to the Old Fish.

"This place is rather rustique," Stéphane says. "Decidedly the opposite of you: beautiful and cultured. But, as they say, "vous pouvez trouver un diamant parmi les roches."

@Rajni: Keeping an ear out for Celine and Juhi.

Elena takes a towel from Kama. "Thank you, love."

Celine listens attentively to Juhi as she tells the story. All but enraptured by the tale of the bears. As the story comes to a close she claps her hands and smiles as she tilts her head up at the other girl, "Nother story Juhi? Pweeease?" She asks, a large smile on her face.

Rajni looks up from her book at the two girls, a corner of her mouth turning slightly upward as she watches them interact. They really were cute as they played together. Thinking for a few moments she supposes that some day she and Dillon might like to have children....but she was okay with just being around children for the meantime.

Can't decide if he's cool or a douchebag as yet. lol

"You're welcome, beloved." Kāma replies with a smile, beginning to wash her face.

Don't really know either, but he's definitely......different. Seepy......sooo very serpy.

Elena waits for Kama to finish before heading downstairs.

Juhi nods and flips through the book to find another story: one about a girl who journeys across the desert to find a mythical oasis.

Celine listens attentively as Juhi tells the story, occasionally pointing to a picture in the book.

Rajni just smiles and goes back to reading her own book of poetry.

"Ieyasu's got the best stock of Jin Zhao imported refreshments in town." Elsa responded as they found a seat.

"Did you say Ieyasu? As in the legendary swordsman, Ieyasu Uchida?" Stéphane asks as they sit.

"A Swordsman? Really? Hmm, that might explain a couple of things."

What does that explain exactly? He's never done anything that would make us think that has he?

You don't spend as much time at the Old Fish as I do.

Well...no...but I was just trying to figure out how you came to that response? What have you seen or heard him do that have you thinking that? The statement just didn't make any sense to me. That's all.

He just sort of reminded me of a couple of old soldiers at Castle Snowhawke.

Ooohhhhh....okay.

"Oh?" Stéphane asks.

As she sits on Juhi's lap listening to the story, her stomach lets out a loud rumbling sound. She just ignores it as she finds the story much more fascinating.

Asha comes in before Juhi finishes the story. "Time for lunch, girls."

She looks up from where she sits in Juhi's lap, "Lunch?" She asks as her stomach grumbles again.

Putting up her book she gets up off the couch and goes to where the girls are, "Yup, time to eat Celine. Are you hungry?"

She rubs her growling tummy, "Hungry...want food." She says in agreement as she carefully gets up from Juhi's lap so her friend could stand up. Looking from Juhi to Asha she holds out a hand, "Eat now? Milk?"

"I grew up with some old soldiers, there's just certain mannerisms that just seem to transcend culture." Elsa explained.

"You can have a little milk with your lunch, Celine," Asha says. "Do you like chicken?"

"Ah, I see," Stéphane says, mostly as a polite gesture than an admission of understanding.

Ieyasu approaches the table. "Ah, Mirokasu-san, I see you bring friend today."

She nods her head, "Chicken? Cluck clucks? I like meat." She says as she tries to remember if she had ever had chicken before. It seemed familiar, but right now she was so hungry she didn't care what she ate as long as it was meat.

Is he talking to me or him? I don't recall his nickname for me.

It's just kinda like your last name. He's referring to you though, yes.

"Yes I have. I'll have a sake." Turning to Stéphane, "And you'll have?"

"I'll have the Silver Star Thirty-Two," Stéphane orders, looking at the old man intently.

Ieyasu grins. "Ahso."

Stéphane chuckles as Ieyasu goes to get the drinks. "Incroyable! It is him."

Finishing up, Kāma takes Elena's hand as they head downstairs.

Elena takes a deep breath, hoping her mother had not used a lot of seasoning on their meal.

Celine thinks for a moment before holding a hand out to Asha, "Chicken good."

Asha smiles and leads the girls to the kitchen. "Rajni, will you help Celine get situated and with her meal?"

Juhi sits in one of the seats.

Elena walks into the kitchen with Kama. "Smells good. What are we having?"

"Chicken jhol," Asha replies. "It's not spicy."

Ieyasu returns with a sake for Elsa and a small silver bottle for Stéphane. "それを最大限に楽しむ."

"します," Stéphane replies.

Elena smiles at her mother. "Thank you."
