"Euww!" Making a Buffyesque sound of revulsion at the proximity of the caller, Lisbarr shifts a bit and casts doubt into the minds of the attacking foes.

Flapping hysterically, Lisbarr does his best to implant seeds of doubt in what passes for the minds of the Callers. C2 is unimpressed, having more than enough to worry about already, but some of C3's mouths fall open and stop singing as radiance engulfs it.

Also, I just realized I haven't been noting the Resist 5 to ranged and area attacks from the shield of deflection. Will do so moving forward.


Lyan knocks C3 off balance and yanks it unceremoniously across the floor to rest next to Rothel. Taking advantage, the hobgoblin teleports to flank and keep the creature firmly under his control. The residual effect of Lisbarr's power kicks in and the singing voices wail in protest.

C2 shifts to surround Rothel, but reserves its bile for the pursuing avenger, marking Lisbarr and lashing out at Akemi.

I forgot to maintain the blue zone two turns ago when I healed Lyan, so it's gone.

Norrin's unexpected attack works exactly as he had hoped. Assaulted with sudden memories of a happier past, C2's multiple heads weep for their loss, blinding the whole creature. The singing becomes a tragic whimper as its grip on unlife looks very tenuous.

With his cloud of spirit allies vanished, Rahz-Ahk disappears into Akemi, empowering her strike. Rothel sees his action, and summons him back to form beside Lyan, thinking that he could use his presence there to channel life-giving energies into the man as the effect given off by channeling them into Akemi.

Spirit Infusion an Akemi. She gets a free basic at +2 to hit and +4 to damage.
Resummon spirit in I11.
Healing spirit on Akemi, surge+6, Lyan gets 3d8 ⇒ (1, 1, 7) = 9, and both Lyan and Lisbarr get 6 temps. Also, when Akemi spends her surge, everyone in the yellow gets 1 HP (and 1 for the surge I spent last round if they were in the zone).

The spirit lashes out again, simply striking at the abomination, but his claws find no purchase.

Apologies - classes were hectic.

Rahz-Ahk's flexing claws miss the singing throats, but Akemi is not to be denied.

Wiping blood from her eyes, she restores herself and shift with unnatural speed to join the spirit. Channeling her righteous fury she takes advantage of Rahz-Ahk's uncontrolled bloodlust to drive her blade deep into the soprano section. Now only a few resilient tenors remain.

Forging ahead!


Plunging into the darkness, the group head down the corridor. Within a few yards, the marble facing vanishes and is replaced by dank stonework covered in something slimy. Unconcerned by the lack of light, Lyan sees that this is a thin layer of fungus. Ahead he sees a turning and around that, perhaps just a hint of light.

Everybody apart from Lyan is blundering along in the dark.

Unsure who to sue in the event of a fall, Norrin decides to play it safe and activate the illumination on his sunblade.

Rothel had two everburning torches when we started, is holding one, and has one for someone else to hold. He also recovered his banner after the fight.


At length, the dank corridor narrows and then opens out into a chamber. Poised in the doorway, Lyan sees a combination of a crypt and a laboratory. A stone worktable covered in materials of some sort sits in the centre and propped against it a bandaged humanoid. Sarcophagi line the room, each containing a bandaged figure, some only partially wrapped.

Even the least learned of you suspect that what has occurred here is a deep evil. These creatures have been deprived of their proper burial rites.
