Map

Seeing Serra's greeting, the two Tieflings respond in kind, though their hand crowsbows continue to point in his direction.

One jumps down, mimicking the serraling's bouncy gait as she hops up to inspect the new guy.

"Don't think we've seen you before, stranger. What've you got to trade?"

Several small ivory fetishes hang from her dragon like horns, tinkling like windchimes as she moves.

perception:14 for those with darkvision:
what appear to be polished ivory at first glance are actually tiny finger bones, most too small to be an adult humans. They appear to be well cared for, highly polished and strung on bits of wire.

Serraling lowers his ranseur, keeping it low at the approaching tiefling.

"I don't recognize you either, but I'm sure I don't know all around here," Serraling hisses, his forked tongue slithering around his mouth. "Trade, huh? It's been tough since the food...I mean, future sacrifices, have started to organize and fight back. Our golden altar is now being smelted by the the pre-damned in the Heart, stole from the Tower of Estod." Serraling spits.

"I have these trinkets and these bracers. What have you to bargain with?" Serraling breaks out the unsold bracers +1 and the various holy trinkets.

Upon hearing the two tieflings discuss trading and sacrifices, the Gnome's eyes widen a bit. He begins to look around a little nervously, trying to surreptitiously keep an eye on his four traveling companions, and then stretches just a bit to make himself look taller.

The tiefling looks past Serraling at the people behind him. "Oh, I was thinking more your live rations you've got..." the tiefling stops, preening at the attention to the finger bones. "What these? Do you like them? Oh no, not when we took them." She calls up to her companion on the wall.

"We need to remember that, Dexl. Take the fingers first."

Kastor swallows hard and steps back behind the others. He watches Serra carefully, in case he needs him, but otherwise hides in case the woman decides she needs earrings to make a set.

Grasker stays mute. He has heard many boasts of violence and violation when scouring the city for witches. The banality of evil is common even without influence from outsiders. It is all a matter of priorities.. once the demons are evicted, then the impure can be introduced to the fire that will make up their afterlife.

A wave of revulsion shudders through Beagan, as he tries to compartmentalize and shunt aside those memories. Be strong for Cathyra. For Marret. He follows Serraling's directions, biting back an all-too-familiar taste of bile.

He has a skill that I'll need inside, if you know what I mean."

Beagan looks the Tiefling slowly up and down, his eyes tracing her form, and nods, nervously licking his lips, eyes widening in a fearful, pleading manner.

Serra hops past the tiefling on the ground, but misses when he tries to stab her.

Cole has no such problems when he shoots her companion on the wall, the arrow burrowing right through his chain shirt.

Beagan, perhaps upset with the way things have worked out, takes his issue right up to Terrla herself. -6 to Terrla from the raging gnome.

Grasker delays, thinking of other things...

Drexl, finally decides to help Terrla out, and fires at the little gnome, preferring chicken to frog legs. Unfortunately, he overestimates how much gnome there is, and misses.

Serraling shakes his head, surprised that it came down to combat.

"I tried hard to avoid this, but she wouldn't accept the gnome in payment." Serraling hisses with a smile as he picks up and re-stows his wands.

"Let us do a quick looting and move on."

Serraling will take a quick gander for magics and then proceed to the Grey Garrison main door.

With combat over, Grasker will put away the distinctively magical sword and make sure his mask is still in place.

"We should hide these bodies in case there are patrols."

He will drag them over to the wall, away from the opening, once everyone is done with potential looting.

Having slaughtered the two guards (that were just doing their job, I might add), the party continues into Old Kenabres. The streets are as quiet as tombs, save for the muted sounds of the clashing skirmishers diverted by the courage of Defender's Heart. Two Howlers set upon the group, but were dispatched in short order.

Soon, the bulk of a large building looms into view. A large stretch of buckled ground and rubble stretches before the Gray Garrison, an aptly named structure that squats across from the open ground that once stood before the Cathedral of Saint Clydwell. That cathedral is no more—nothing remains but a towering mound of rubble and a deep, jagged rift in the ground.

This is the place from the scale's vision. This is where *she* died to save them.

There is no sign of Terendelev's body amongst the rubble, not even a single scale.

Across the courtyard, two hideously obese naked men armed with scythes stand guard outside the only obvious entrance to the Garrison, though a keen eye also sees a single small window some 25 feet up.

We'll be using last night's map for the outside area. I'm assuming you're sneaking but if you are just walking up to the doors, let me know.

If everyone leaves something at the wall, Serraling will do a quick search for a treasure trove that we might have missed.

Serraling lowers his ranseur, wiping the blood on the body as Grasker stows the bodies away. He will renew his transformation using his scale (2/3 used).

"We were close there, but these tieflings got lucky. Let's go, same plan," Serraling says as he begins to hop towards the main entrance, openly.

Having just passed the wall, he assumes that his credentials have been 'checked'.

The obese man to the right looks like Lord Hulrun, commander of the Kenabres forces. prior to the fall. That is, it would look like him, if he had been eating nonstop since the last time you saw him. For, while older, Lord Hulrun was a warrior, and was nowhere near this size when last you saw him, on Armasse Day.

the obese man to the left can be non other than Kandro Nyserian, the man purported to have purchased Irabeth's sword and owner of Nyserian Manor, the flattened cultist safe house. Still, he looks nothing like his picture, for in it he was trim and spare, while here in his naked glory his a humongous shiny blob of flesh.

"Well well well, who do we have here and what have you brought with you?" the rolling puddles of fat leer at the group, one of them licking his lips as his mouth already begins to water.
