Let me clarify about the doors and the elevator/cage thing. basically the cage can do one of two things; it either goes straight down, to the ground level of G-7. From there, you can reach either G-8 or G-9.
The other thing it can do is go straight across from the terrace (there is a line on the map sort of showing it) to the doors directly across to the far side of G-7. These are *not* on the ground floor, and can only be reached using the cage. The mechanism for working the cage is up on the terrace. It takes a full round to get to go 10 feet in either direction.

I'll do the best I can for the next few days. After almost of a month of breathing issues, they've added another two meds. Hopefully these will help.

Yo Peeps--
Heads up that I'll be AFK from April 8th to 19th. Going to Cuba on a Culture, Economics, and Technology junket with a board that I used to be on. More info here.
Feel free to play or GMPC my <insert yahoo's name here> for all the fun and laughs you can muster. Online access in Cuba is very rare and usually dial-up speeds so I won't be able to post much, but hope to read along when I can.
I hope to be back to posting on the 20th or so, given that I have a long trip home and will need some recovery time.
Signed,
<your favorite yahoo in this PbP>

Sorry all, I'm working on a funeral program for a friend. I'll try to update this weekend, but it may not be until tomorrow night.

Yay! We have reached the end of book 2.
You have all earned another mythic tier as well as a level, but I need to take a break for at least the summer.

Thanks Jurin for the reminder - and thank you GM Verdigris for an excellent book 2!
Take your break as needed, and I look forward to continuing on with Cole again, someday - if it's in the stars!
In the meantime, here's my next mythic level, with a little power to the bow... and a nod to my thiefly nature.
GM Verdigris - Please note for your records, all our characters initiatives go up by 1. A mythic bonus.
+4hp
+1 initiative
Extra Path Ability Mythic (Master of Shadows)
Mythic Feat (Weapon Focus Mythic)
Master of Shadows (Ex): You are a master of moving unseen and unheard, and adept at guiding others in quiet and undetected movement. When you or any ally within 30 feet attempts Stealth checks, each of you rolls twice and takes the higher result. As a swift action, you can expend one use of mythic power to add your tier to one ally's next Stealth check. The ally must be within 30 feet and the check must occur within the next minute.
Recuperation (Ex): At 3rd tier, you are restored to full hit points after 8 hours of rest so long as you aren't dead. In addition, by expending two uses of mythic power and resting for 1 hour, you regain a number of hit points equal to half your full hit points (up to a maximum of your full hit points) and regain the use of any class features that are limited to a certain number of uses per day (such as barbarian rage, bardic performance, spells per day, and so on). This rest is treated as 8 hours of sleep for such abilities. This rest doesn't refresh uses of mythic power or any mythic abilities that are limited to a number of times per day.
Mythic Power (Su): (6/day) Mythic characters can draw upon a wellspring of power to accomplish amazing deeds and cheat fate. This power is used by a number of different abilities. Each day, you can expend an amount of mythic power equal to 3 plus your mythic tier (4/day at 1st tier, 5/day at 2nd, etc.). This amount is your maximum amount of mythic power. If an ability allows you to regain uses of your mythic power, you can never have more than this amount.
Path Ability
Legendary Item (Ex): You gain a legendary item. This item grants a number of abilities equal to your tier (maximum 3). At 3rd tier, you can select this ability again, increasing the maximum to six abilities and causing the item to become a lesser artifact. At 6th tier, you can select this ability again, increasing the maximum to 10 abilities; the item then becomes a greater artifact.
An artifact can't be destroyed by normal means. Though a minor artifact has hit points and can be broken, it can't be destroyed by taking additional hit point damage. A major artifact is immune to hit point damage and can't gain the broken condition. Instead of being destroyed by taking hit point damage, both minor and major artifacts are instead destroyed when a creature successfully performs a very specific and often difficult task. The GM gets to determine what action is necessary to destroy the artifact, and should look to other artifacts' destruction entries for inspiration.
Legendary Bow
Intelligent (Int/Wis/Cha: +2, Spellcasting (See Invisibility, Mount, Prestidigitation, Unseen Servant) CL:6, +1 language (Sylvan))

Thank you Jurin, and Thanks for pointing out the bump in Initiative. I'll make the change in my statblock that I use for Initiative.

Hi All, I'm very sorry for my absence from this game. I took the summer off to think about it and basically reached the conclusion that I will not be able to do this game justice going forward. I truly apologize for this, because you are a fantastic group and deserve better. I've thought about trying to find another GM to take over, but figured I should let you all weigh in on it before I do. No matter who runs this campaign from this point forward, it will be bulkier than the usual, due to the Mythic rules.
I am very sorry, and if I reach a point again where I feel like I can be a realiable online gamer, I would be honored to play or run with any of you, but that is simply not something I can do right now.

Serra walks up hand in hand with a young boy. The boy has a limp, but walks up with a somber smile.
The boy, a handsome, serious lad, looks to GM Angry Ankheg and offers his hand for her to take.
However, as if unable to fight back tears, the boy rushes to hug the ankhegish abomination.
"Thank you so much!" The boy looks up at that Angry Ankheg with wide, trusting eyes. "I loved this all and appreciate all that we did!"
Serra laughs at the lad, smiling deeply in his reduced frame. When he had started in Kenebres, he weighed much more...not just in physical weight, but the weight of his failures. He seems slimmer now, not just of form, but also of mind as if he had cast away many of his doubts.
He reaches his hands out to gently disentangle the lad from his embrace.
"That's enough, Kastor. I'm sure she knows how much she has impacted you...impacted both of us," Serra says gently, his own eyes becoming moist with tears.
Serra moves closer to embrace the Ankheg.
"You've taught me much, even when you tried to kill me. You've lead me to challenge and laughter...heck, you even found new friends for me," Serra says, smiling through his beard and looking to the rest of the party. "Without you...without you, we were nothing. Thank you so much."
Serra lets go of the green lizard and holds her at arms length.
"I will always remember how you gave a fat knight a chance to be a hero. I will never forget it." Serra blinks away a few tears.
He reaches his hand down to accept Kastor's his own. "Come Kastor, we have other goodbyes to make."
Serra and Kastor move to Cole, with Serra offering a strong bro-hug even as Kastor hugs the man's leg.
"I never liked your hat, but I appreciate how you took charge and lead us when it seemed like we would never find the light." Serra unhugs and looks Cole in the eyes. "Your bow as appreciated. Your leadership was ever so."
Serra ushers Kastor in front of Jurin.
"This is not goodbye for us, mayhaps we will travel home together. Though you are...different...and uh, uhm...you...I have never minded your presence. Sometimes your sword and magic aided my own in our fights. Let us return to our home and rebuild there, shall we?" Serra hopes the chef will agree.
Serra and Kastor go to stand in front of Eli.
Serra offers a gauntleted fist for a shake.
"If you wish to come back with us, Eli...I would, I would find a home for you with us. Our lands in Andoran are nice. The undead invasions are largely over and we could use your insight. I would count you as friend if you would receive it," Serra says.
Kastor, initially standoffish, runs to hug Eli's leg. He looks up and stares into Eli's cloudy eyes. "Yes, you should come with us! We could go riding and walk in the forest! It would be nice!" Kastor says in a squeaky voice, his eyes full of emotion at the goodbye and hope that the man might come find peace. "You should come with us!"
Serra exhales and looks at GM AA again.
"You made this happen. I appreciate it!" Serra says, taking a knee and bowing his head in supplication to the GM. His mighty glaive lies by his feet and he tries to absorb as much as he can of the honor of knowing GM AA. There is much to absorb.
