Delighted to be on board and raring to go! Looking forward to playing with you all. Let's kick some witch behind!
Gethsemane, would you like me to make a separate alias for my animal companion or are you happy with one? And would you consider allowing the Totem Guide archetype for my animal companion? Its a bit of a power down imo, giving up evasion and improved evasion and devotion for some nature themed spells and the ability to eventually speak with its master, I just love the idea of my Stag being all wise and guidey. Not anykind of deal if that's not cool I know I've gone a bit out of the box already!

Cleric checking in. Oh and it would be good for other players to check out my 'appearance' section if nothing else
Ahh there's the arcane source in our party! Hello Eladora! It seems we have quite the opposite personalities, but with just a hint of homesickness...looking forward to the game!

Azana |

Burn scars and an orange eye? Sounds interesting. Azana has silver hair and eyes, so we can be the odd eye brigade!

Azana |

Ah, but only one makes it fun.
Also, Drelsh, I may be wrong but I think the points for your character are off. I'm adding them up to 27 points, assuming the +2 for being human went to Wisdom.
That or I've got something horribly, horribly wrong myself...

Well caught, it does equal 27.

Checking in! Thank you, master GM! :)
Eladora, I like your idea. Let's run with that.
Also, I can easily switch over to be a more "tanky" character. I'm using a two-handed weapon now, but I could easily adopt a shield and axe. The archetype gives feats like Bodyguard and such for free anyway. Just a thought, I don't mind either way!

Elwyn Dawnstar |

Eladora, how about something like this?
I've been approached by your uncle (or his men) recently to hire my services as a guard or watcher, seeing that the area has become a bit more dangerous and unstable lately. I've been hesitant to say yes because of the past, but my honor makes it difficult to refuse someone in need. So, perhaps we've met a bit, but I've yet to take on the job.
If the GM is okay with it, maybe the events that start the AP could be what propels the partnership forward? If Eladora is being tasked with leaving the village on a mission to rescue someone from bandits, my good nature would finally get the better of me and tag along, refusing to let a person that I've been hired to protect fall into danger.

Azana |

No worries Drelsh - I saw a twenty and went, 'Hang on, how come I don't have a twenty?' Then I remembered because it would only leave me with three points, and I need at least two stats.

Ragnor Yver |

Thank you for catching that Ungthar. I keep forgetting the 1 and 1/2 damage for two handed weapons. I tend to use one handed and finesse weapons on my character's where two handing is only an option. I will make the changes now.
Gethsemane I wanted to ask again if the trait change to Blade of Mercy was Ok?

Ragnor Yver |

Thank you Eladora, same here.
It will be a pretty new experience for me Drelsh. I will be switching between smacking dudes with my sharp pointy sticks and healing them up.
I figure my lay on hands will be used to keep me and I assume Ungthar in the fight near the front lines. I will have to play it by ear though any one in obvious danger of going down will likely be a priority but we can see how that can be worked out between the two of us Drelsh.
Having Channel Positive Energy as its own ability separate from Lay On Hands will double the amount of healing I can perform per day but I assume my Channel Positive Energy will mostly be used to top off the party after a fight. I thought about taking Selective Channeling but I am not sure it would be worth it or if I would have enough feats to do it. I will have to see.

Ragnor Yver |

I was thinking of using the Great sword as my default but wanted to have the shield as a back up besides it has my gods holy symbol on it so I am partial to it :). Seriously though I was hoping to try and walk a line between the two selecting feats that will help me in combat but wouldn't be specific to either fighting style. Did you have a suggestion or insight that you wanted to share?

Ragnor Yver |

Two smash-aholics working on the front sounds pretty awesome to me :)
I am pretty set on selecting enforcer and Sunder to debuf enemies in a fight. So even if I can't force a creature to concentrate on me. I can at least make them less effective at attacking others. Cleave is also on my list but not certain of any other combat feats I will take at this point but am fairly certain that will be the extent of my two handed smashing feat progression. Do you know how you plan to progress your character Ungthar? Maybe we can cover each other or set up synergistic fighting styles.

Elwyn Dawnstar |

Well, since I already took Power Attack, my bonus feat selection for Two Handed Weapon style is pretty limited. My choices are Cleave (ok), Pushing Assault (meh), and Shield of Swings (meh). I might just go with Archery instead, so I can get feats like Precise Shot for free. I dunno though.

Eladora Rell |

I see no problem with having two two handers, the best form of defense is a good offense and the extra damage can mean putting an enemy down before they get that crucial attack in. Generally speaking its pretty easy for a ranger to be a "switch hitter" and be good at both archery and two handing, you just use your regular feats for the relatively low feat needing two handing and take archery as your combat style.

Ragnor Yver |

Drelsh Is it obvious that you are a priest of Yamatsumi? I don't recognize the name. Is it a elemental god? I ask because at this point Ragnor would assume you are a warrior of some kind. Not that he would hold it against you since he would have had to provide spiritual support to others that didn't worship Erastil for the last 2 years according to the players guide. I am going to play it as the experience broadened his horizons a bit but of coarse he still has his own personal bias :)

Ragnor Yver |

I think it depends on the situation. In this case we are tracking a group and want as much daylight to follow that track as possible. Having food that requires little to no preparation and that can be eaten on the run as is will be ideal.
However if we aren't on the clock in the future being able to supplement food with wild game, berries and the like would extend the amount of time we can operate out in the wild. Its also possible we could over extend our supplies if we end up following a trail too long that it depletes what we carried with us. So having options is always a good thing.
That is why I requested a mix of items. The trail rations and wandermeal allows quick on the go meals and switching between the 2 extends the number of days at a good cost without negative side affects. The honey and whiskey can be used to preserve and or flavor any food collected in the wild if there is extra.
The trail mix could also be added to small game to make a meat bread or something like berried muffins or flapjacks if we find wild fruits. Hopefully that would extend anything we forage but even if it doesn't I like the role playing flavor of it.
Honestly if someones life wasn't on the line Ragnor would be more inclined to forage for food as he went. Using rations for when he flubbed his survival check.
