Harakhty Suntooth |

Suspecting the men were the creature's creators - or at least handlers - Harakhty was torn between defending the chapel and chasing them down. He fell into the first category though.
Drawing crossbow, move to A10, firing.

Cyna Singer |

With guided fury Cyna draws her bow and sends two fiery missiles at the creature.

Fire Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 1
If it's a golem and not undead then -2 to hit and damage

GM Henry Fortuna |

slowed for 9 rounds
Cyna manages to hit the creature with one arrow which does not seem to do much damage to it. The body of the creature seems to absorb the fire from the arrow. Harakhty's shot flies past the creature as it approaches albeit slowly. You all manage to catch wind of the odious smell coming from the creature.

Alethiro: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10
Cyna, Skaar and Alethiro are nauseated for 1 round. So, just move actions on your turn.
Round 1: Cyna, Harakhty, Creature, Aurelea, Alethiro, Skaar

Skaar |

Reeling from the thing's stink, Skaar falls back and tries to get it together.
Move to E8 without provoking.

Aurelea |

Aurelea, chants a spell, stepping in to strike with acid sizzling along Oblivion's surface.
The stink is overwhelming, and though her body resists the nausea, the watering of her eyes and sudden urge to stop breathing lead her strike awry.
1d20 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
1d20 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12
1d8 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
3d4 ⇒ (2, 4, 4) = 10 Acid

Alethiro Milocathe |

Alethiro exclaims, "Dear Gods, that things stench is abysmal." Gripping his new weapon tightly, he moved in front of Cyna to keep her safe. Move to C-10, since Aurelea moved.

Harakhty Suntooth |

The creature's smell was foul, but Harakhty had endured numerous odors on the savannahs - manure and rot were common.
He circled about and fired once more.
Move to D9.

GM Henry Fortuna |

Aurelea's sword comes across the creature, cutting into its flesh. However, the acid seems to have no effect on it.

Alethiro fails to connect, while Skaar rams into the creature with full-force.
Fort Save: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 1 = 11; fail
The creature falls to the ground hard.
Round 3: Cyna, Harakhty, Creature, Aurelea, Alethiro, Skaar

Harakhty Suntooth |

That was a fine shot. Weary of wasting time with his bow again, Harakhty dropped it and switched to something he could put some movement behind. After all - the sword cut and clothesline worked fine.
Quarterstaff: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9 Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 2
Only managing to rib the folds of loose flesh, the inquisitor found himself ineffective once again.

Cyna Singer |

Rapid: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7

AoO: 1d20 + 7 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 7 + 4 = 22
Damage: 1d3 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5

Skaar |

If experience has taught us anything it's not the CR+1 encounters that are scary. It's the CR+0 encounters...
Skaar gives the thing one more good kick to make sure it's dead.
What's up with the Sisters and/or the men in black robes?

Skaar |

Confident that the undead beast is down for the count, the big Orc lumbers towards the burning building, grabs whatever's handy, and tries to help smother the flames.
Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21

Skaar |

Rooftop shenanigans are more Harakhty's thing. Skaar's more built for hauling heavy buckets of water. Is there a source of water nearby?

Skaar |

Skaar grabs the biggest container he can find and makes his way to the well.

Skaar |

Ever the workhorse, Skaar begins dousing the building one bucket at a time.

Alethiro Milocathe |

With the monstrosity dead, Alethiro stows away his mace, climbs up on the roof, and begins to cast Create Water repeatedly.
As a level 3, he can create 6 gallons of water per casting

GM Henry Fortuna |

Skaar and Alethiro manage to douse the fire on the roof with little diffculty while Cyna and Aurelea head inside the chapel. It looks like several fires had been set in here as well, but they have been handled. A few more black robed corpses lie here as well as a couple of sisters. You see about five sisters hovering about Clara on one of the last remaining beds here.
The sister who called out to you and helped Clara inside notices Aurelea and Cyna. "Is it over?"

Alethiro Milocathe |

Once the flames were out, the Elf climbed down and said to the Orc, "I'd imagine this is a different experiance for you, putting out the flames instead of starting them, eh Orc?" Heading inside, Alethiro rejoins the women as they converse with the Sisters.

Skaar |

"You'd be surprised. Elf", Skaar spits.
"Why don't you see if you can do somethin' to help the girls inside?"

Skaar |

Skaar grunts in satisfaction at the praise only to become suspicious a moment later.
”Wha- How did you know ‘bout her?” the big Orc asks. ”What else do you know ‘bout me?”

Alethiro Milocathe |

The Cleric turns to Cyna and asks, "How are you feeling? I know that monstrosity’s stench was nauseating."

Skaar |

"A seer eh?" Skaar says incredulously.
"What do ya see in my future? What's Sefirous doin' here and what's his connection to the Horseman?", the big Orc hesitates before he asks his next question both out of doubt and fear of what the answer may be. "Who's the pup I saw in my vision on the other side?"

GM Henry Fortuna |

"So you want proof that I'm a seer and not someone out for your blood?" the sister asks. "Sefirous is a servant of Szuriel now, having given his life to her. He is a daemon now, weaker on the Material Plane than on Abaddon. In time, he'll build his strength and come after you again. As for the child in your vision, he is your son. His mother sails with the halfling called Rando. But that may or may not come to pass."

Skaar |

Skaar frowns at the accusation, "No. I trust ya. I'm just lookin' for answers. Nothin' here makes sense most of the time."
Sefirous, a daemon - some kind of inhuman monster. In his heart, Skaar wasn't really surprised. Sefirous hadn't been all that human to begin with. He also knew he'd see the bastard again. Sefirous was a tenacious killer. He wasn't the type to let a job go undone.
"Zahira's carryin' a child? My child?" Skaar says in disbelief.
The hulking greenskin had left more than a couple bastards behind during his time in the military and the years before but he'd never thought twice about them. Why did it suddenly mean something to him now? Had death changed him? Had he changed himself?
"What do you mean that may not come to pass? Is she in danger? What's gunna happen to her?"

GM Henry Fortuna |

"Yes, Zahira is with child, though she does not know it yet. The future is not written in stone and nine months is a long time in a world such as this," the sister says with a shrug. "I can only see up to a certain point, but Rando makes preparations to sail against Horace soon. Zahira will go with him."

Skaar |

Globally, where is the conflict with Horace occurring with relation to where were are now?
Skaar was suddenly torn between his duty to protect his friends here and an urge to defend the woman carrying his son.

Skaar |

"That's days away and I don't have a ship. There's gotta be somethin' I can do for her", Skaar grunts.

GM Henry Fortuna |

I know, I know. But if you don't wear a jimmy hat, what do you think happens?
"You will have to make a choice, Skaar," the sister says. "Stay here and fight for what's left of Zahvroma or tend to Zahira. You will lose something in either case. The fallen paladins will march upon this place once those three men return to them. Ixen will be sure to come shortly after."

Alethiro Milocathe |

Or take Bachleor Snuff.

Skaar |

It didn't matter previously. Until now he was a soldier, sowing his wild oats wherever he went. Now that he's trying for this hero business, he's becoming more responsible.

Harakhty Suntooth |

Quarterstaff: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 3 = 23 Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 2
Confirm: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22 Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 2
Another attempted smack of the staff is made by Harakhty as the creature rises.
