Skaar
Skaar scouts out a path and hoists himself up.
Take 10 Climb: 10 + 6 = 16
Skaar
Once he's in position, Skaar lowers a rope for the less physical member of the party.
"Careful", the big orc says. "This thing is fallin' apart."
Cyna Singer
Survival: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 25
Climb: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24
Why are these not attack rolls!?
Cyna follows behind the towering hulk especially careful about where she steps. "Undead hunting?" the tailed Ranger asks as she maneuvers across the debris.
[Fav. Enemy Undead] many rolls will be +2
Harakhty Suntooth
Following the group down the tower, Harakhty easily bounds back up the side of a ship. With Skaar having the muscle to help others up, he glanced about the vessel.
"Hadrinn, do you have an idea what the ships were carrying here?"
GM Henry Fortuna
Holy moley. Those are some climb checks.
Looking at the vanara, the dwarf strokes his beard before answering. "Food, water, supplies, weapons and the like. Our crusade was meant to be long. The ships toward the front of that mess were likely carrying less as later ships brought extra for resupplying existing groups. Kierk and I have salvaged much from our ships, so I don't think much of it is worth anything anymore. I think there were a few merchant ships trying to use the bay as a hassle-free trade route."
Harakhty Suntooth
"It seems they were disappointed then," said Harakhty, looking out at the evidence of destruction in the bay. Restless, he pressed onward, bounding across the ship, over its side, and on to the next one.
Harakhty will catch rope tossed-up to him at each ship to help the others climb up them; those natural 20s won't last forever!
GM Henry Fortuna
On the ship, you notice that the deck continues for fifty feet before being split by another ship. The gap between this part of the deck and the other is about ten feet across. You come to the edge and see that the plunge is about fifteen feet down into the darkened water. Though the lower deck is still visible, the water would come to about waist high on Skaar.
If Jimmy leaves Toronto on a train traveling 50 mph at 6:58 am and a barbarian travelling 30 ft. per second. leaves Mordor after second breakfast, when will they meet?
Skaar
Skaar studies the gap between the two ships and then looks down into the water.
What would the DC be to jump across the gap?
Skaar
Skaar backs up some and then rushes forward and leaps.
Taking 10 on acrobatics for 10.
GM Henry Fortuna
As you cautiously make your way across the second ship, you notice that it dips a little under the water as you come aboard. You spy a sizable grate looking down into one of the ship's holds. Bloated bodies float against the grate. One of them turns in the current and you see a bearded human paladin looking at you with blood red eyes. The bodies begin rapidly diving into the water and out of your view.
Skaar
"Shit!" Skaar grunts.
"We got company. Dead men."
Cyna Singer
Reflex DC 20: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23
Once again Cyna takes a running start and leaps across the gap. Her armor however keeps her from landing safely on the other side as she falls short. Luckily she somehow manages to grab the edge and hang on before falling into the hazards below.
"Close one." Cyna hangs on to the ledge as she waits for one of the more athletic members of the group to help her out.
Skaar
Skaar growls at the sight. He unpacks his rope, hands one end to Cyna, and then backs up and leaps across.
Jump: 1d20 ⇒ 13
Drago Skorzeny
Drago does likewise and makes the leap...
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11
and lands with barely a foot between him and the edge behind him.
Harakhty Suntooth
Taking a few steps before vaulting himself over the gap, Harakhty landed soundly on the other side. Like the branches of home in a way, but with a little something extra if one makes a mistake...
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (18) + 11 = 29
Cyna Singer
"Thanks Aurelea, I almost lost it there. " Cyna quickly brushes herself off and surveys the area.
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25
Cyna Singer
With her keen vision Cyna is able to point out several potentially dangerous spots on the ships deck, while trying to maneuver the group into a more balanced location. "Watch your step the deck seems to be warped here and there."
Skaar
Not entirely trusting the rotted wood to bear his ponderous weight, Skaar follows Cyna's directions carefully.
GM Henry Fortuna
As you cross the boat along the path Cyna pointed, hands break through the wooden deck, searching and retracting. You make it to the end of the boat. There is now a 50 foot gap between you and the last boat. As you gather at the other end of the ship, the hands begin breaking up more of the deck. Water begins to pour forth, submerging the wreck that you are on.
You have 5 minutes before the ship is completely underwater. In 1 minute the water will be up to your shins. In 3, it will be up your waist.
Skaar
Is there anything between this ship and the last one? Lines? Wreckage? Is the only option to swim?
GM Henry Fortuna
There are no lines nor any substantial wreckage. There is the weakened mast of the ship you're on, if you're willing to set foot on the deck. It will cover the gap. It requires a DC 20 strength check to knock down, the same to drag into position and two Acrobatics checks to cross (DC 10 for the wider part, DC 15 for the narrower end). And then there are the grabby hands.
Skaar
It seems like a better option that swimming the 50 feet. =P
"Cyna, I'm gunna try to knock the mast down. We can climb across it to the other ship. What's safe to walk on?"
Cyna Singer
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9
"Too much water just go back the way you came and avoid the hands, ill be right behind you."
Drago Skorzeny
"And I'll see if I can try and keep those hands pinned down." Drago says.
I cast Disrupt Undead on any hand that pops up within 30 ft. At least I hope the hands are undead.
GM Henry Fortuna
Very much dead.
As the water begins to makes its way on deck, it becomes difficult to see any hands.
Anyone willing to brave the deck needs to make two reflex saves DC 10 for the trip to the mast and DC 15 for the trip back (since the hands' owners will have a better idea of where you are). Drago, you can cast Disrupt Undead if someone fails their reflex save to save them.
Skaar
If it's reflex maybe someone else should go. Skaar isn't terribly nimble.
Cyna Singer
Reflex: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25
Reflex: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9
Reflex: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25
Well that happened. I don't suppose the deck or the water provide me with cover?
Skaar
Skaar will brave the deck afterward if it looks like Cyna's having a hard time knocking the mast over.
Drago Skorzeny
Seeing one of the hands grab Cyna, Drago reached out his hand and said, "Levnim kaegro."
Disrupt Undead, Ranged Touch Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14
If a hit, Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 2
Cyna Singer

Strength check: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Strength check: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 20
How's that?
Aurelea
Aurelea dashes across the waterlogged deck after the nimble ranger, grabbing at the mast to help her drag it into place.
Reflex 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 20
Reflex 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 = 18
