Arista Milocathe
She nods at Celia's comment while waiting for an answer from Ammon, "Yes....there is. It's not just about protecting what's ours though...even if it's a large part of it since our people seem to be the ones most often targeted....but....there is everyone in Valwick, the people of Zahvroma...I've never really left Zahvroma...so I don't really know what's beyond her boarders...but I'm sure there's lots of things worth protecting in all of Vesaria...I just...I won't get into it right now...I seem to be all over the place enough as it is. I'm sorry...I just...I guess I really am getting sick of people thinking that it's okay to try and oppress others because they think they have the right to, or the power to. It just...it doesn't sit well with me." Feeling that tightness creep into her chest again she looks away from Celia for a moment, "Excuse me for a moment, I need to sit down. Just...if you don't mind...put whatever anyone doesn't need or want in this bag for me?" She says as she drops the bag on the ground and finds a place to sit down.
Arista Milocathe
She sighs, hating the feeling of needing help with something as simple as sitting down. She wasn't weak, not really...she just...well, she probably shouldn't have gotten so worked up. Nodding she sits down on the log, "Thanks Celia....I just need....a few minutes." Trying to reassure their cleric she says, "It's nothing...really...just something I woke up with. It comes and goes....I guess....I got a little...too worked up...over that evil spell casting cow....I really...do hate her so." She says inbetween breaths as she tries to breath around the feeling of tightness in her chest. Stretching up straight on the log she holds her arms above her head to open up her airway and stretches as she slows her breathing.
Arista Milocathe
Nodding again she closes her eyes and concentrates on her breathing, shutting absolutely everything else out of her mind.
Whhat? Why are you "Sense motiving me?" Lol
Arista Milocathe
HEhehehehehehehehehe....I'm so bad. Lol *sigh* It's not that I think other people think I'm weak when this stuff happens...mostly it just bothers me because it feels like a weakness to me.....even though it's something that's completely normal for a pregnant woman to be going through. Arista's line of thinking is like, 'I slaughter people in battle all the time, I shouldn't get weak and need help sitting down just because I get a little upset. Know what I mean? lol
Arista Milocathe
Nods....yup comes in kinda handy sometimes. Thing is...she's not openly trying to hide anything. She just feels frustrated in general...Celia could always just ask. Arista has no reason to lie to anyone. Silly head.
Arista Milocathe
Oh...and sorry Andrew about all the crazy conversations that seem to be going on all at once...it just got hard to keep up with everything, but Arista actually did ask Cyna about going to Lysse with them...she just got distracted by everything else going on around her as well. Sorry sorry....it's something that can be addressed later though as it isn't emergent at the moment. I was just letting you know she asked in case it was lost in all the chatter.
Cyna Singer
"I think we we're going to wait until last minute so the flowers last, but I don't see any problems with you tagging along." Cyna answers.
Arista Milocathe
She nods, "That sounds great. I promised Celine....that if she was good...for Rajni today, that we could stay...home tomorrow and bake....cookies together." She says, happy that she would get a chance to take Celine along with her to Lysse.
Alethiro Milocathe
"Alright, let's scout. But like Pandi said, carefully. Any doubts, speak up, and we stick together," Alethiro said as he pulled his weapon.

The main room of the fortress is spacious, decorated by the rotted remains of tapestries. Several smashed weapon racks line the walls and the group sees a battered and rusted suit of armor lying in the center of the room. There are two doors on the right wall of the room, two on the left and one, as large as the door they came through, at the far end of the room.
Sādhanā
"He basically dispersed then flew off. He can't teleport, and until he recovers he won't be able to cast spells either. If we act now we can actually keep him from reporting anything to Chalandra." Sadhana responds. "You said you can track him Cyna?"
Arista Milocathe
Looking up a little shocked she says, "Whhaa...wait...so...you guys can get to him if you can get to him fast enough?" She asks as the wheels in her head start turning.
Arista Milocathe
She waits to hear what Cyna has to say before doing anything too hasty...but if it was really possible to catch up to him, she thought she might have an idea of how they could do it...but she didn't want to rush off without knowing for sure.
Arista Milocathe
Feeling her muscles twitch at the thought that the others might actually be able to catch up to him and end him before he has the chance to report back to the evil spell casting cow, her wings spread out again almost on their own volition as she thinks of getting to the one that could almost assuredly get them to him in time.
Looking at Cyna she simply asks, "Shall I get Tesia? She's super fast."
Cyna Singer

"Didn't someone say his range was limited? If so speed might not matter. Cyna casts Aerial Tracks and examines the area.
Taking 10 to track at 2x pace vs undead in a forest = 30
Arista Milocathe
She nods as she stands by to take off and get Tesia at a moments notice if Cyna thinks it's necessary, "Alright...just let me know if you need me to." Looking over at Ammon she says, "I'm sorry...I guess we're gonna have to take that rain check after all. I'm sure if you're going to stick around though, there will plenty of time for dinners later...when we're not trying to track down and destroy an evil fiend." She says with a smile before getting a different kind of look on her face, "Though....if you guys can do this without the need of Tesia...I might have to just collect Celine and go home. I don't want to impose on Rajni and her family much longer and I still have to cook dinner at home...is that okay?" She asks sounding a little uncharacteristically timid. She hated the thought of leaving them to deal with this without her...but she had to get used to the idea of letting them handle things without her...even if it meant giving up some of her fun at wiping out evil too. Nothing gave her more satisfaction than wiping the smug look off of some evil persons face right before ending them....or maybe those were the hormones talking? She wasn't sure, but she had a daughter that needed her and she couldn't just keep running off. 'It's time you learned some responsibility and started acting like a proper young woman' Her mother's hurtful words rang in her ears and she shook her head to try and rid herself of them.
We all got our....well I don't know if you could call it demons exactly since my mother isn't evil...but...we all have past stuff to deal with. Know what I mean? Lol
Alethiro Milocathe
Taking in the scene, the Elf thought for a minute, "I'm not an expert in fortifications, but I'd be willing to be the main armory would be a little deeper into the fortress. So I'm guessing those main doors. Although I have no idea if we'll be able to get through them. Thoughts?"
Alethiro Milocathe
"Alright, lets take a look."
Carefully, he headed towards the doors, making sure to watch where he stepped.
Sādhanā
"Most likely that at his current level of energy, he can't keep flying for very long or get very far. We should probably get moving."
Turning to Arista, Sādhanā gives her another hug. "It's perfectly okay. Go be the awesome mom that you are to your amazing little girl. We'll fill you in on what happened when we get back."
Arista Milocathe
She nods, "Okay, just be careful okay." Giving her sister a final squeeze she spreads her wings as she steps away, "Please let me know what happened, and be safe." Getting the feel of her wings again, she starts moving them before running and leaping into the air, just barely making the clearance over the trees as she heads quickly back to town. She flies almost the whole way to the Tailor shop, slowing and touching down a few feet from the door.
Getting to the door she folds in her wings as she covers them with her heavy cloak before going into the shop, "Hello? Rajni?"
Rajni
Rajni comes out of the kitchen, "Oh hey Arista, Celine woke up a little while ago. She's upstairs playing with Juhi and Shamara. Did everything go alright?" She asks as she motions for Arista to follow her to the kitchen.
Arista Milocathe
She nods as she sits at the table to catch her breath, "There were some issues, but we got most of them handled. The others had to go follow up on something, but I wanted to come back and get Celine so I could go to the market and get some things for dinner tonight before going home and making dinner."
Rajni
Giving Arista an understanding look she gives her back a little rub, "Okay, I can have her cleaned up and ready to go in no time. Just sit there and rest while I go get her okay?" Making sure Arista was as comfortable as possible, Rajni goes upstairs to pack up Celine's things and get her washed up and ready to go.
Rajni
Laughing a little she picks up the sweet little girl, "Yes Celine, your mommy is here. Are you ready to go?" When Celine squeals in her ear and tightens her grip around her neck she laughs, "Alright, let's go see mommy then." Putting the toddler down, she holds her hand as they make their way down the stairs. As soon as Celine sees her mommy though, she jerks away from Rajni and runs to her mommy, throwing her arms around her and hugging her tightly.
It put a kind of lump in her throat at seeing it, but someday she would have one of her own. She grabs her cloak and puts it on before pulling on her boots, "Alright, let's get to the market and then I'll help you home with your groceries. Mama....I'm going out for a bit, I'll be back later."
Arista Milocathe
Giving everyone a smile before they leave she says, "Yes...thank you....all of you, for taking such good care of my baby for me." She then leaves and heads to the market, Rajni and Shamara with them.

Vampires cannot tolerate the strong odor of garlic and will not enter an area laced with it. Similarly, they recoil from mirrors or strongly presented holy symbols. These things don’t harm the vampire—they merely keep it at bay. A strong-willed vampire can overcome its revulsion of the object and function normally. Vampires cannot enter a private home or dwelling unless invited in by someone with the authority to do so.
Certain attacks can slay vampires. Exposing any vampire to direct sunlight staggers it at first and destroys it utterly if it is prolonged. Each round of immersion in running water inflicts damage on a vampire. Driving a wooden stake through a helpless vampire’s heart instantly slays it. However, it returns to life if the stake is removed, unless the head is also severed and anointed with holy water.
A vampire can suck blood from a grappled opponent; if the vampire establishes or maintains a pin, it drains blood, which heals it. Once per day, a vampire can call forth rat swarms, bat swarms, or wolves. (If the base creature is not terrestrial, this power might summon other creatures of similar power.) These creatures arrive and serve the vampire for up to 1 hour.
A vampire can create spawn out of those it slays by draining blood or energy, provided that the slain creature is the same type as the vampire. The victim rises from death as a vampire spawn in a few days. This vampire is under the command of the vampire that created it, and remains enslaved until its master’s destruction. If it makes too many, the newer spawn become free-willed.
A vampire can crush an opponent’s will. Anyone the vampire targets must exhibit a strong will or fall instantly under the vampire’s influence.
A creature hit by a vampire’s natural weapons has their essence drained from them. A vampire can use change shape to assume the form of a dire bat or wolf. A vampire can assume gaseous form at will, but it can remain gaseous indefinitely and has perfect maneuverability. A vampire casts no shadows and shows no reflection in a mirror. A vampire can climb sheer surfaces.

She holds Celine's hand as they walk through the market, "I just can't thank you and your family enough for looking after Celine today. You didn't need to come with me to the market though...if there was somewhere else you'd rather be?" She says as she starts going through and getting various items to make dinner with as well as some things to make cookies with Celine the next day. She'd also have to find time to see Esme tonight.
Rajni
She shakes her head, "Nah...it's alright. I can help you get these things home and then I can go see if Dillon is home yet." She says as the coloring around her cheeks darken, "Celine was just fine and like I told you...any time you need me to watch her, just let me know. Juhi played with her quite a bit and mama helped out too....but she's really a sweet little girl and was no trouble at all." She says as she takes the heavier bags from Arista, leaving her hands free to keep Celine within arms reach of her.
Arista Milocathe
Arista lets out a sigh as they get back to her families home, "Thank you so much Rajni...for everything. If you'll just set those down on the counter I can start cooking right away." She says as she sees Rajni to the door, watching her walk away for a bit before going back to the kitchen to start dinner while Celine played on the floor in the living room.
She carefully seasons the whole bird she got from the market and starts it cooking while she gets the vegetables to go with it. Once her vegetables are ready she gets out another pan and makes some dough for fresh biscuits. She was hoping that her roasted chicken and vegetables with biscuits would be ready by the time Alethiro got home.
Roasted Chicken with vegetables and biscuits: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (20) + 12 = 32
Arista Milocathe
I'm gonna say that it probably takes at least two hours to cook a whole roasted bird, the vegetables and biscuits. Doesn't that sound about right?
Once everything is in the oven she goes to the living room and pulls Celine onto her lap so that she can read to her out of one of the books she has. She couldn't wait to go to Lysse with her to see what kinds of learning materials and toys they had there for younger children. She really wanted to do something for the children of Valwick and get some kind of school going....but she needed to talk to the Mayor first and see if he had any suggestions. She also needed to talk to Barclay and let him know what she was planning.
