(1) The world that we are in.
-Things like how big it is, general grittyness,public attitude, basic things that a character would know growing up. As well as the main town were it is, and who runs it.
(2) I would like to know about our house (Preferred to have Jathus in in)
-Why is this house in power( or power'ish), what lands does it hold (if any)
-The leader or main characters, along with how does the extended family sit in.
I would like to know more before I make a background or even finalize a character. If our house is known for production of iron I would want to put in Profession: Mining and Dungeoneering, possibly Engineering before we start the game. Another example would be if the last hundreds of years an orc invasion constantly attacked the nearby lands, I would use that to fuel my character creation. PreSets PreSets PreSets!

Thaegrin Variel |

Interesting, Anga. I'm building Thaegrin as one who would use magic to know things (scrying, charming information out of someone, whatever), and using this information to his/the house's advantage. I like the overlap, or else Thaegrin would end up never leaving the scrying table. Plus, we get a fellow "on the ground" as it were. This is what you meant?
How are we establishing that we are on the same side? If we come up with nothing else, Thaegrin could simply recognize talent when he sees it, and decides to keep tabs and possibly aid Anga, Wraith, and Jathus.
I imagined Thaegrin's office to be a one room in some large mansion/keep/wherever the center of house power resides (but this is up to you, DSP). I also don't think he'd leave the premises unless he was asked by a lord or something.
Heh, so Wraith is going to be sleeping with his bow? So long as nothing quivers under the sheets. KA-POW! I'm not leaving.
