Quick question, as I've never gotten a proper answer and it's kind of an odd question. Can you use vibro knucklers without the advanced weapon proficiency feat? I mean, you can use them, but without taking a penalty? It just seems like an odd reading in the clone wars book. If so, could I buy some of those for Ven and upgrade those?

Sigh... Since this is not exactly good news, I may as well do it the band aid way.
It seems work and real life have gotten quite busy indeed as of late, leaving me with far less time and energy than expected. This unfortunately leads me to the conclusion that I am lagging behind in my various games much more than I am comfortable with. And it does not seem as if it will be improving any time soon. So I have to cut down on the number of PbPs I am in and withdraw from some of them lest all of them perish.
This is one of those games.
So please remove any aliases of mine from the Current Characters roster so the campaign goes to the Previous Campaigns list.

No, he does not. His skill list is Initiative, Perception, Endurance, and Knowledge (tactics).
Ven was your in-party Computer skill. You do have Imperial Intelligence as an option, however. Hessin may be able to locate someone who could aid you as well.
EDIT: If you're talking about reconstructing the holotable, Mechanics may be able to accomplish something with that, albeit at higher DCs.
No, I mean, we can't astrogate, and with the speed and trustworthiness of Imperial Intelligence that Kordin has seen, I think she'd rather just dip into her ship funds and buy an astromech droid. Although, if the group needs it, she'd rather take a collection :).
Ven was also the mechanic. Our two man team had a very basic premise, we both knew how to fight, but I was more of the muscle/field work. Between the two of us I was the only one trained in treat injury and knowledge tactics.
Jax also has mechanics. You aren't entirely without technical skills. You do need computers, though.

Getting an astromech for the ship would probably be a good idea. I'll take skill training next level and pick up Use Computer as well.

A T3 utility droid, ie the plate head on wheels from the Knights of the Old Rebublic video game is worth 3500 credits. It's got mechanics +13 Pilot +7 and Use computer +13
It's got neat stuff like a holorecorder and a holoprojector. It's basically the r2 unit of this time period... Wouldn't want to get it into the line of fire though. It's only got 5hp and reflex defense of 12
One of my old characters had a R2 unit that used to assist on missions. Everything was fine till the gm threw a grenade at the party...
That's why the droid will not be leaving the ship unless we absolutely need it.
