What was the right order in the end? Gril at the top, city in middle and devil down the bottom?

He gestures to the cat-demon. "After you, mighty Graxus. I'd not want to get between you and your prey"

Not sure how wide the passage is, but assuming 5' proposed order:
Illusion -> Conner -> Graxus -> Vrald -> Gilfroy -> Tywin -> Seinto -> Belka

We have muscle at both ends of the party, and (hopefully) a good perception front to spot traps.

Connor feels a whet raspy tongue up against his bare arm and sees Graxes ponder the flavours.
"Hmmm needs a little longer cooking time and I think some rosemary will fit you nicely, hehehe." Graxus jokingly says.

However, you can't shake the feeling that in other circumstances, he might have done more then merely lick you. ..

When Vrald makes his suggestion, Graxus responds.
"Ah right you are human, right you are. Get ready Tywin, I smell more of those rejects."

Tywin rides on Graxus so they are at the same position

Because he's concentrating on the illusion, Gilfroy can only move half speed. However, others will be Perceptioning for traps, so they're going at half speed, too.

Gilfroy climbs down, floating the ninja in front of him. Once down, he concentrates on making the ninja move more realistically, practicing the appearance of stealth.


Connotr goes through the door, and to the vault beyond it, going slowly to look for traps, with the illusion in front of him.

After opening the door you see a room. It is split by a Long, ten-foot-wide Stone walkway, extending sixty feet east to west between two spiral staircases. Two ladders rest on the North side of the walkway and two more on the south, leading down into a fifteen-foot-wide trench twenty feet below. These Sub rooms are filled with objects rangin from decripit suits of rusted armour, to piles of rotting fürs, and to various over-stuffed footlockers. On the other side of the room you see two lemures.

I'm sure Gil can have the ninja tumble past those demons and create a distraction from behind

The illusion dashes forward. Just shy of the lemures, it leaps into the air and nimbly flips through the air to land on the other side of the creatures.

As this is just an illusion, even though it looks like it's trying to set up a flank, it can't provide a flanking bonus, set up sneak attacks, etc.

Gilfroy himself stays put, waiting to see if the creatures buy his illusion. DC 18 Will save to disbelieve.


Connor quietly takes out his longbow, holding an arrow to the string. He draws the bow back, sending a silent arrow flying toward the lemure that Vrald targeted. attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25

Connor and Vrald critically hit the southern lemure and kill it where it stands. Seinto enchants Vrald's and Belka's weapons. Belka moves closer to the lemures. Graxus bites the remaining lemure, but the wound closes fast. Tywin attacks the lemure with his Lance, making a big hole in his fat belly.

The armoured knight makes no move to actually climb down the ladder and investigate though.

"These devils are rather weak" Belka says while watching the glow on her weapon. "If that are Celeena's bodyguards, this should not be hard to defeat her."

She then glances at the levers displayed into the room. "One of those levers surely allows the portcullis opening but which one? Unless you are able to open the lock?" she asks Connor.


He says to Belka "I doubt I can pick any lock here, unless if it's a simple one, and anyone who leaves demon bodyguards doesn't like simple. But the practice of finding a trap, setting it off, then pushing though works just as well." Connor moves ahead, examining the portcullis and lock, checking for traps. takes 20 on a perception check for a total result of 26.

"Before we continue... If Graxus is right, these creatures are vulnerable to silver weapons." Seinto says, looking at Vrald and Belka. "I do have a silvered mace, but I can hand it over if you don't have one. You are better warriors than me."


Connor mutters, "This looks important", and pulls the lever, opening the portcullis, leaving the path to the stairs down open. "Go down whenever you feel ready. I'll be behind Graxus." he says to the group.

"I confess my sword did not seem to strike as cleanly as I expected, until you blessed it."

He looks at the sword, disapointed to see the glow vanish already.

"That may be a wise suggestion Seinto. Unless you can renew the blessing?" He asks hopefully.

Looking at Graxus he gestures for the creature and it's rider to go forward

He then adds, looking at everybody "I recognize that Graxus didn't make a good impression on me. But all I need to know is that Tywin and Graxus were accepted in the Pathfinder Society. Remember that 'Cooperate' is one of our main duties. I think it would be better if we stopped guessing his nature and focused on the mission."

Though you cannot see it as he is walking up front. You can imagine a grin coming to his face when he says the last sentance.

The stairway leads you down into a long room. This long hallway stretches sixty feet east to west between two spiral staircases. The walls of this hall contain deep notches and cuts at five-foot intervals, and a liver lies in the down position beside the western staircase. Skeletal remains litter the floor, and among them rests a recently slain corpse of an elf, his arms torn off and several feet from the body.

On the other side of the room you see another Devil's Claw Mercenary. He's already waiting for you. "Ah, here you are. I've been waiting for you. You defeated the other mercenaries, but let's see if you can defeat me." Janks says with a big grin.

I can't see the map yet, but assuming that Vrald can make the distance he will charge Janks. Given he has medium armour on, that is only 40' he can cover in a charge. If Janks is further away, or charge is not allowed, he will just close (can run up to x3 giving him 60' which sounds like it is probably enough

"We'll deal with you just as we did your stooges" calls out the young knight.

He charges across the room at the Devil's Claw, swinging his sword as he goes.

Graxus ponders the mercenaries words. He's awfully alone and yet thinks that he can beat us. and the corpse and skeletons on the floor suggest that this area is quite deadly. Hearing the fighter behind him edging to charge him Graxus lets him past. Lets see if his intuition was correct.

Delay until after Vrald. Graxus and Dywin have reach so its easy to attack from the second row.

Tywin lowers his lance to try to stick it into the mercenary without hitting Vrald and

lance: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13
dmg: 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (2, 1) + 6 = 9

The lance (probably) just bounces off the armor of the mercenary due to the angle of the hit.
