"We know her, so calm down" he was also hoping that the panicked Mayweather did not try to take things into their own hands and attack her, cause then things would become ugly

Shaking her head, Yelisaveta slowly steps on the ground, nodding at Binerith. "Thank you, Tech-Priest.", she replies curtly, straightening her dress. Turning her vicious gaze at Mayweather, she takes a couple of steps in the man's direction, looming several inches above the man. "Locutor Mayweather. I would very much prefer not to react at a first glance. Because that will get you killed. If anything, my presense here gives the enemy another target that isn't you.", she spits out through her pursed lips. Coward.

Scoffing at the lasgun, she checks the weapon. "Disgusting.", she comments, at everything in general, then looks at the two armed men. "Any success in finding the location of the hidden ship? We need to make haste. If that didn't work, the eldar witch mentioned a ship of her own.", she reports, wincing at a wound. "So we should move. Away.", she suggests, clearly irritated.

Emerik nodded, gesturing to Mayweather. "Continue, please." The place was a maze, and having a guide was a great boon.


Mayweather (grimacing, and make a theatrical display of being in severe pain. : "I think that they're some viewing halls this way...so if we were take the next left turning..."

From the shadowed far end of the corridor a projectile comes hurtling.

Alberas, Konstantine, make a Perception test (-20, for your for your still recovering vision, which still has two more rounds till that effect is erased. If you make the test, roll Initiative as normal, other-wise, you must take a -2 penalty, as 'you didn't see it coming'.

Alekseevna nimbly dances through the flames, while Konstantine, Binerith, and Albaras are splashed with fire.

At the end of the corridor, you see a hulking figure: some 30 meters away.

So the corridor stretches ahead some forty meters. There's a T-intersection at the end of the corridor; and in the middle of the far wall of that intersection there are massive, bronze doors; slightly ajar.
You see a hulking figure slipping back around the right corner of the intersection.

Emerik stood, looking as the flames engulfed his armour. Well...damn. This wasn't a new experience for the guardsman, but it was disconcerting.

Emerik's armour and toughness mean he isn't taking any damage - yet - so what action do I need to put the flame out? Full Round for stop, drop and roll? If not, I'll just walk around on fire for now.


There's Russian film, 'Stalingrad', where the Germans blow up an huge oil tank ahead of a Russian assault; which leads to an epic, slo-mo scene of the Russian attackers, completely engulfed in flames, charging into the German lines, spraying the German trenches with their SMGs even as they burn.

Since it is Agility test to avoid catching fire, I'll call for another Agility test to put it out.

Lifting the lasgun in her hand, Yelisaveta runs down the corridor with a clacking noise. "I really miss my shotgun now.", she mutters under her breath, as she flicks the switch to overcharge. "Konstantine, I don't suppose you brought a spare for myself?", she winks at the Arbitrator, raising the lasgun to bring to bear towards the assailant as soon as he's in sight.

If she reaches him in one move, she'll open fire.

So for the re-roll, you're spending a Fate point?

You're not sure, in the ashen twilight that appears to be the common lighting in these corridors, but you think you hit it (him) as he slouches back around the corner.


So Konstantine and Alekseevna have fired. Albaras is again trying to beat out the flaming ruins of his tunic. Binerith has crossed the hallway, and is slowly advancing along the far wall. Mayweather is cowering way in the back.


Roaring an impious oath, Albaras tears off the flaming rags of what was once a fine tunic, and throws them to the floor.

So, it's -30 to your skill for shooting blind, with a +10 for the burst, making your adjusted skill 29. So you're sure you see, in actinic glare of a lasbolt pulse, a shrouded form, hovering near the ceiling, writhing back

Lasbolts lance through the gloom.

Well that might give our lurking phantom something to think about!
