OK, with all the interest I've basically got the "right size" group for 3 tables, which is about all I think I can juggle at once.

Without further adou, here's the tables and links to the campaign games so you guys can begin selecting the pre-gens you wish to play alongside your fellow players.

@Lithrac: Alas, the Wisp games were still on the sheet but both games will be wrapping up this weekend, which is what's enabling the kick-off of the Silverhex games.

Knowledge | GSC | Mummy's Mask | WftC | RotR$ | Carrion Crown

@Lithrac - I am just getting to the end of my first GM go, and took advantage of the sale last week to pick up a number of modules that I have already played in (am just finishing Wisp now), so if you can wait a week or two, I will run that one soon.

@GM Panic: No worries, thanks for the reply.

@GM Fuzzfoot: Gladly, please count me in!

Male Half-Orc Brawler 1

I just want some action. Is that so much to ask?

The Veteran's Vault: MAP

A stern figure enters the Lodge and quickly looks over the pathfinders assembled there. Where might I find the Venture-Captain of this lodge? the man asks in a deep resonating voice. I need to recruit agents for a few missions and was lead to believe this would be the best location. he adds with a doubtful tone.

I'm looking to GMing two scenarios at the end of this month.
4-18 The Veteran’s Vault (1-5) and 2-25 You Only Die Twice (5-9). At the moment sign up is only open to GMs. To be considered a GM you must have GMed a PFS pbp on the Paizo boards in the last month, or are currently GMing one. If there is still spots open the week before I start the game I'll open it to none GMs.

SIGNUP SHEET

VC Flaxseed, please feel free to link this sign up sheet up top.
Thanks!
G.M.E.W.

Technic Siege/Full Map

Would you enter me on the signup for Yoy only die Twice GMEW?

I know I havent been the fastest GM, but I am trying and one game just ended. I have a couple PCs at level 5 or 6. Also some GM cred. To apply to at least one.

Just can't access list on mobile and didn't want to miss out.

Vitals:
15/15 HP, +3 Initiative, +7 Perception, +5 Fort, +6 Ref, +1 Will, AC: 15/13/13

I am considering GMing some of these, I have the itch to purchase four (4) scenarios to start, and GM them, one at a time.

For a first time GM online (have real life experience) what do you recommend?

Eponine: try some of the Season 5 and Season 6 adventures. That way you gain two advantages: 1) You won't have to deal with faction missions, a now obsolete concept; and 2) many of the earlier missions are now sadly easy because of many new classes and options available.

Another way to judge is to look at the ratings each adventure has garnered.

If your RL experience is extensive, just grab some that interest you. If more limited, try running any adventure as a Core Campaign (Core Rulebook only) adventure.

Best of luck!

Knowledge | GSC | Mummy's Mask | WftC | RotR$ | Carrion Crown

@Eponine - I am also a new GM, and the approach I took was to take a Season 6 scenario that I already played in, and asked a bunch of other GMs to take the role of players so they could give advice and point out issues. So far, it has been a great call - I am getting good advice, and it has been fun. I also did Core, so it was a reduced rule set AND because a lot of the GMs here have already played everything non-Core... so that might appeal to you.

Good luck! Feel free to ping me for help as well.

I am also thinking of trying my first PbP GMing as well. I'm looking at the Confirmation. Getting GMs as players sounds like a good idea.

Liberty's Edge

Male Human Healer/ Warrior 10

I did (am doing) what GM Fuzzfoot suggests. I played PBP for about a year and then played PBP for about another year, then I decided that I wanted to Gm. (extensive RL experience, but not since AD+D days, and certainly never Pathfinder). I got my real life GM, a couple friends whose opinions I could trust, and a few of the Board Gm's to sign up. It really is helping a lot, and you don't have to be afraid of being called out or anything.. the whole point is to get the kinks out and learn your board style before you have to try and learn it on the fly. The discussion tab is more about the finer points of the game and Gming instead of the game itself, but it really works.

I´m gaming The Confirmation for GMs right now.

It´s a good idea because you don´t need to check if the players are messing with the rules. But it is being a little harder than I expected due to the ramdoness of many tables, needing to different pages of the pdf to check things (almost every time Janira appears), and things I didn´t consider (For me is harder to know if people don´t want to do something in PbP than in F2F and if you have to decide about ambiguous rules it takes more time).

But taking all in consideration, I think starting with GMs helps to worry less about making mistakes.

I may or may not be able to join with my fighter Chasik for 2-25. Need to see if that game is on the docket for a different PC

A small, somewhat bashful gnome walks into the midst of the lodge. "Err, I am Eponine, and I have been asked to recruit some young pathfinders for a mission into a place called . . ." the youngster seems to lose her place for a moment. Somewhat embarrassed she begins riffling through a large stack of papers, "Right! A mission to a place called the Overflow Archives? Anyhow, we need between four and six of you to 'volunteer'."

Per the advice above, I am looking to run Tier 1-2 (easier monsters/combat) for those who are GMs willing to provide constructive criticism and assistance to a noob. After work, I will post a recruitment spreadsheet on Google Docs and link here.

I'm totally vibing how you have gotten into character on Enora and would be honored to be considered for a spot at your Overflow table. :)

If classic is Non-Core then Bash is ready to go for that campaign :)

Level 9 unbreakable fighter, takes more of a hit then delivers one.

Silver Crusade

If you're not looking for super-recent board-GMs, I'm interested in your Overflow Archives Eponine. I'm a 2-star GM though have not run games on these boards in a little bit. I've got a couple L1-2 characters to use.
Cheers!

Overflow Archives is Tier 1-5. The APL will dictate tier 1-2, or 4-5.

Am I not to understand, though, that that's just for DMs? I have DM'd some games, but not here....

This is my first foray into PbP GMing. Based on advice received here and elsewhere, this game is for only those GMs with online experience so that they might provide constructive feedback, criticism, and guidance. Once I have the kinks worked out I will open other games for non-GMs.

Took a while, but now the spreadsheet should pick the appropriate tier for me!

=sum((filter(F3:F8,F3:F8<>"")) --- Adds up all non-blank numerical value cells in the F3:F8 range. This is cell F13 in my sheet.

=COUNTA(F3:F8) --- Counts up all non-empty cells. This can mess up, kinda.* This is F14 in my sheet.

=Sum(F13/F14) --- Averages the two above. This is cell F15 in my sheet.

=IF(F15>3, "Tier 4-5", "Tier 1-2") --- If the APL is > 3, tier 4-5, else tier 1-2. this is F16 in my sheet.

Feel free to take for your own. I will double check the APL flip point later, just writing sheet for now.

* IF for some reason someone enters a non-numeric value in one of the F column cells (such as entering Banana as level) then this will count Banana for purposes of F14, thus skewing the average in F15, and the tier in F16. Banana is not numbered, so it will not affect the sum in F13, because it is filtered. I will try to filter F14 later.

Um, okay. Anyone got a game about to open for the rest of us...?

Signboy77's PFS Scenario-rama

I'm a bit overextended at the moment, but in a few weeks as a couple PbPs that I'm playing in finish up, I'd be willing to run a game, Closet.

Eponine pops back into the room, "I am happy to report I am back, safely, from the Kingdom of Impossible. Unfortunately, something of an emergency has occurred, and I have been asked to immediately escort Dalangi, Professor, Baddacus, Fuzzfoot, Gob, and Caih . . . oh, and Shahrazad too to the Overflow Archives at once!"

Since I can run with all 7, I think we may as well, unless there is objection.
Assuming all 7 are willing, APL is 2.77, which rounds to 3, and more than 4 players means High Tier (4-5).

So...what do I do with all the sign-in sheets above?

It's been still as death here for a while now. I want to make sure I'm not missing any opportunities I'm accidentally not seeing.

The Flaxseed Pathfinder Lodge

When GMs are recruiting for a game (or games) they will list them on their spreadsheet. You can add your name to the game(s) that you want to play. When the game is full or when the GM is ready to run it, they will usually make an announcement here or send out the link to the game via PMs.

Knowledge | GSC | Mummy's Mask | WftC | RotR$ | Carrion Crown

For instance, I am ready to open a new game(s), so I have a signup sheet here: Click here

I am going to run 2 games for the Wounded Wisp (levels 1-5), one Core and one Original Play. Feel free to sign up on whichever you prefer. First 6 spots will get in, and there are two Waitlist spots in case someone becomes unavailable between now and when we start (which won't be for a week or so). Some others do large lists and then lottery for who gets in. I thought I would try this approach first.

Nice Notes there, Rob. :D

I have a question and figured someone here would know the answer--suppose I am GMing a PBP scenario while playing a scenario online with my character (which I want to apply the GM credit to).

If the GMing scenario finishes first, can I still apply that credit to my character when his scenario is done, assuming he lives of course?

The Flaxseed Pathfinder Lodge

Yes, that's fine. As long as the character doesn't level out of the one you GM'd. And of course you have to wait to apply the XP, gold, and prestige. So essentially when you finish playing you'll then apply both sheets at once.

Thanks; I wasn't clear on that.

Thanks! I assume it's the same thing if I run an in-person game and that happens, right?

One more question--I thought The Confirmation was for Tier 1-2, but the chronicle sheet has gold listed for either Tier 1 or Tier 2. Does that mean if i run it at level 1 and apply the credit to a level 2 character, he only gets the level 1 gold?

Technic Siege/Full Map

Nope, the GM character gets what's appropriate for his/her level. It's very nice that way. But you can only get GM and player credit once each from that scenario for a level 2 character.

Dark Archive

Scenario and AP Tracker

Yes as GM Derek W said. If you are running a level 1-5 scenario at the lower 1-2 subtier as a GM and you wish to apply your GM chronicle to say a Level 5 character. You would then get all of the high tier items and gold for the 4-5 subtier range also as a GM.

Dark Archive

dice:
[dice=To Hit Touch AC]1d20+7[/dice] [dice=Damage]2d6+4[/dice] [6 Splas, DC14 Ref for half (3)] [Dice=Scatter]1d8[/dice]
Vitals:
15/15 HP, +3 Initiative, +7 Perception, +5 Fort, +6 Ref, +1 Will, AC: 15/13/13

Question on GM chronicles before such issues arise:

I GM a 1-5 Scenario.

I apply to my level 3 character.

Do I use the Level 1-2, or the 4-5?

Do I use the out of tier gold since it is neither 1-2 or 4-5?

Is it my choice?

Dark Archive

Scenario and AP Tracker

Yes. So if you run a 1-5 scenario and give the chronicle to your level 3 character as a GM you would receive the out of tier gold and just the treasure of whichever subtier was played.
