'Our' hostages would be the bad guys (aka 'terrorists': I like that) I would hope . I had mentioned earlier about letting 'their' hostages go free but in fairness it wasn't RPed. I apologize if there was confusion; one does have to be technical.
"I am going to hold on to a couple of these potions.. ahem. I mean 'cure light wound' potions that we found and give the other two to Rhydderch," Kyle says as he runs to go pick them up if they don't already have them. "I have no problem using them during a fight when needed."
I believe Marisan is correct. We didn't make an effort to go out of earshot.

In other words, I'm on board with stashing Nish at the Pathfinder Lodge in Cassomir.
I suppose the Pathfinder Lodge is as good a place as any for us to rest up. Anyone have another idea?

Elwyn looks over his shoulder at his companions with a raised eyebrow. Well aware of the sectarian divides that make up the Pathfinders, he sides with the Grand Lodge in its understanding if not acceptance of their diverse set of interests.
"Thanks again Rhydderch and Kyle - your support has meant the difference between success and failure for our gambit, and likely life and death for these captives. I agree that rest makes sense, tomorrow we shall bring our mission to a successful close."

![]() |

Elwyn heads back down below deck to where the captives are and pays particular interest to the young nephew of the Cassomir Governor. He looks him over trying to see if he is wearing any amulet or brace. He also begins to question him, "Listen, its time to come clean, it will go over easier for you in the end if you let me know what's really going on here."
Are you SURE you're done with this area, Elwyn?

Truthfully I am slightly confused - we got the location of the next auction at the last encounter, and niether of these guys are running the show - he's supposed to be at the nect place.
"Wait just a sec, I need another minute with some of those kidnapped."
He tilts his head at Rachele urging her to follow and makes his way down below.
He huddles Orfeo and Creighton into a corner and urges, "Fellows, we need to talk, I know you're holding out on me still. Some here are going to find their freedom, others are on their way to prison, or worse. Help me help you, make the right choice now."
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
Elwyn can see that his efforts are having little effect, so he goes another route.
"Okay, enough is enough its time we settle this." He closes in on Orfeo and threatens him, bringing a dagger swiftly up to his cheek and pressing it in so that it creates a dimple. "Tell me what I want to know now! Where is it! Where is the source of power to control the undead?"
Intimidate: 1d20 ⇒ 18

I can tell you that you already did one faction mission, in finding out the location of the next auction from the auctioneer after the very first battle. You 2nd mission tells you that what you seek is from the guy in charge of all of this. You have yet to meet the man running the show. Feel free to email me with further question now that we're both a little less confused.
Orfeo says, I have no idea what yer talkin' about, mate. I was takin' captive. I don't know anything about undead! They said they were going to sell me as a slave or somethin'!

Elwyn retracts his blade, his stance and his intensity. "Right then, so we're clear. No stone unturned and everything, got to chase down every angle and all." And quietly goes back up to the main deck.

The party turns the bad guys into the authorities, escorts those who need it to the safety of the PFS Lodge, and rest for the night. As the sun rises, the party feels renewed and refreshed.
According to my math, given the earlier channel, healing spell, and natural healing, everyone is up to full HPs. If you have something different, let me know and I'll adjust).

Marisan joins the group, looking rested and eager. "Yes, let's get this taken care of as quickly as possible, so we have the best chance of finding Cestis."
Haven't chosen the day's spells just yet, will do so before checking for new posts later this morning.

The party collectively heads to the warehouse on the south
side of the Imperial Naval Shipyard, first from a distance. From the outside there is no activity. Indeed, it is odd to see a shipyard warehouse so quiet at this time in the morning, though given that many of the operations have slowed down or stopped, not totally unexpected. You see no one coming out or going in.
The ways things have been going the last couple of days, the intense work we are doing here has made it impossible to get enough time to post on the boards during the lunch hour...usually later at night is when I finally get to breathe a little bit. That may be the case again today. A big part of it is that there is no cell data service here, meaning I have to find a computer just to get online. Again, I apologize for any inconvenience. Please post your moves this morning, just in case I can post at the normal time, however.

Today's spells:
1 (2/day) Ray of Sickening, Magic Stone (DC 15), Glide (DC 15)
0 (at will) Flare (DC 14), Detect Magic, Resistance
Also, Marisan spent time this morning honing her spears with her whetstone (+1 damage on first hit)

Elwyn also looks and listens, hoping to pick up on any activity or detail that might give them an edge on their assault.
Perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (17) + 9 = 26
"Harboth and I can scout ahead if you like, see if there is anyone inside or what the best entry and exit points are or if there are any key choke points."

![]() |

"Just as long as you stay within eye sight so I'll know if you need me," Kyle states as he casts guidance on everyone before taking a look around for himself.
Can he aid another in perception?
Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 = 15

"All this quiet makes me think ambush or we're too late. Either way it seems that the element of surprise may be lost. If we do go ahead we need to be extra certain that we are not spotted and that the rest of the party is not far behind. I'm ready when you are.
@GM-JCServant: Is there a water side entrance or perhaps a way to see below dock to the undeside of the warehouse? Alternatively is there way to climb up to get a better or alternative view?

"Allow me to open the door and take a look inside. If there's an ambush I should be the target since I'm better armored," Kyle says. "Stay behind me." Kyle goes to open the door after he makes sure there are no visible traps.
Perception: 1d20 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 4 + 1 = 17
+1for guidance

![]() |

Skipping backwards a bit Harboth creeps up toward the door, just ahead of Kyle. stealth: 1d20 + 7 - 1 ⇒ (9) + 7 - 1 = 15
He stands next to it, back to the wall and his head near the door so that he can hear any bad dudes approaching.
Perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (5) + 9 = 14
As Kyle goes to open the door, Harboth draws his bow and pulls an arrow from his quiver, just in case.

Sorry...but no post from me today. I got called out for a 7am meeting, and I can't access my notes at the airport unless I can find a wireless signal. Have a great weekend. Update...I could not find that signal, lol. Again , my humble apologies. However, I fully expect to be on a normal posting schedule next week. Thank you for your patience.

Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
Kyle checks around the room before moving to the other corner as quietly as possible. He motions for Elwyn to give him the all clear on the door before he approaches and opens it.
Stealth: 1d20 - 6 ⇒ (1) - 6 = -5

![]() |

Once again, Marisan will cast a protective spell on Kyle right before he opens the door. She hesitates for half a moment, then casts the same spell on herself as she backs away from the door, then loads a bullet into her sling.
Cast resistance on Kyle and myself

![]() |

Harboth sneaks through the room, keeping an eye out for traps or movement and an ear out in case he can hear anything over Kyle's clanking. :-)
stealth: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 25
perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (13) + 9 = 22
Once at the door, he stands behind Kyle, bow at the ready but not yet raised.

![]() |

Harboth fills his nose with the smells of the office.
Perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (3) + 9 = 12
Isn't there supposed to be a trap door around here somewhere? he whispers to whomever is closest.

![]() |

Elwyn carefully puts his ear to the trap and tries to make out how many voices or what they might be saying. Perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (9) + 9 = 18
Elwyn then alerts the party to his find in a hushed whisper as he points down towards the trap door.
"This is deja vu eh Harboth?" He jokes quietly with a raised eyebrow. "Do we go down or dow we try to lure them up? And how?"
He turns to Rachele, "Now would be a great time for some of your sorceress skills, perhaps you could put them all into a deep slumber?"
