Wouldn't my shield get a saving throw or something? Its a +6 item which is above averagely strong.

Hey Nex, Luca can tap you with the wand next round, but I should be able to get myself, Malcom, and his ruined shield out next round with my dimensional steps ability. Maybe drop your gear before you come in though so you don't have to sacrifice anything.
I think the cleric spell make whole could restore the armor bonus on Malcom's shields, if not the weapon enhancements. At the very least, we could get him some kind of weapon. I don't want to quit this dungeon, but we could probably seal it up with walls of stone and force, stoneshape and permanency and come back with some consumables and maybe put together a battle plan. What do you all think? And maybe we could replace some of the players who have dropped off.

I am okay with you guys leaving the dungeon and coming back but you will need to do something about the door. As to getting a few more people that fine by me I can reopen recruitment. We need to get an idea of who all has dropped out. Gelix and Zaldane are for sure as one has stated as much the other doesn't post very much if at all. Drake is still posting, malcom chirinide and yourself continue to post as well. Pendin has been slight quiet but not as bad as Nex and Gelix.
As to the shields and the belt short of a Wish spell which I would have to even check if it would work they are not going to be fixable.

I have been a bit quiet, due to some RL tragedies, but I'm a little more settled back into the regular swing of things and will be contributing more again.
I hope Malcom's actions aren't bringing the party down. I kind of feel like my RP is forcing the adventure to get dragged into a different direction than some of you might want. I kind of designed him to be the big reckless and dumb fighter that his is. I'm having a lot of fun with it too. Chirinide kind of said it best:
How is this guy alive today? How? I guess he had some really great people looking after him.
Which is kind of what I was going for. If it's getting too much for anybody than I can change Malcom's character a bit.
What I'm trying to say is that we don't need to leave the dungeon if you guys don't want to. The wooden shields can get me by in the meantime. The other factor is that I don't have the money to replace the Shields either. I have 2645GP which can buy some new non-magical ones but is not enough to buy the magic needed to restore them. I could maybe take out a loan if the DM permitted? Thats just what happens when you put all your eggs into one basket. I bought 3 really big magic items rather than many smaller ones. I though the outcome was kind of funny in a way, and can gladly figure something out along our path if you don't want to go back.
I just don't want this situation to be a thorn in everyone's side.
Just to confirm I'll be dropping out of this game. As much fun as it is, I am regretfully unable to keep up. It was great playing with you, thanks.

No worries Gelik I kinda figured since you haven't post too much but thanks for the heads up.
Malcom don't sweat it, the module is killer even though you haven't really dealt with the baddest of the bad it meant to kinda 'f' the player a bit here and there the room you went into was one of the more f'd rooms in the dungeon. I think you are doing great, I leave it up to the party though if you guys would like you can leave the dungeon recruit some new "cannon fodder" I mean party members :) and then come back as to loans.....well just realize there are always loan sharks in the world and mayhaps a deal could be struck but if you can't pay up the guy might have to make you sleep with the fishes....

Great, tonight I get to attempt to kill my RL party that is trying their hand at Slumbering Tsar muhahahahahahahahah!!!!! whats funny is I have been going kinda easy on them not a person killed yet....but they still think I have it out to get them not sure why -whistles innocently- I have only poisoned, burned and nearly killed the whole party on several occasions :) But isn't that my job as a DM anyways :)
As to this game I think its going just fine.
I think a cleric and a ranged attacker would be pretty helpful.
I would be all for a cleric and someone who can hit further than 5 ft!
Now wishing I had taken leadership, though how to fit that with my character would require some creativity(ooh, did I just challenge myself?)

I'm down for pressing on...going back to town...or just waiting (although that's my least preferable choice). This place kind of has me scared enough to want more players but excited enough to want to press on.
Just shorthand my old group in Chicago used to use for 'take anything even remotely valuable from' I don't know why they used greyhawk, and never thought to ask...

Sounds good to me, although I've tied Pendin's backstory to another Monk of mine (who hunts Fey). I'm OK with retcon'ing some of my backstory to make it one of the masters who tried to espouse those ideals.
Aaaaaand I've updated my profile to make the monastery more accessible (i.e. One master secretly teaching the stupider of us) :)

Not if I kill them first, of course I need to get over the whole playing with my prey thing, but there's no cure for that quite like competition.

to your previous question...no greyhawking the corpses it would unbalance the game you would have too much per person at this level far beyond the expected wealth trust me there will be creatures you can greyhawk later :)
