It reminds me of the aquariums they had a Mystic back when I was a kid. They were 10 feet high so you could see the fish but they would swim and water would be everywhere. Plus the design is for research and to adapt species for the planet's surface plus with a Soviet level of apathy towards safety.

You look down the ladder and see the two fleet members in their space suits gazing (through a large transparent wall) at the antics of several killer whales. The two remain motionless, but slight movements within the suits alert onlookers that they are still alive.

A cone of fire shoots out of the battery at the two astronauts. Using my energize spell ability to cast overheat. DC 15 Reflex Save for half damage.

The battery is little more than a twisted, smoking lump. Kit drops it to the floor with a 'THUMP!'
