Anahita bint Tariq |

Ace and Ginni walk hand in hand to the library, when suddenly he stops mid stride and chuckles loudly "Ya know, I totally forgot to ask Tyrrin if she knew where Professor Reading came across that kami? I had planned to try and research the land it hailed from. Guess I'll just have to go with a broader search tonight."
Grumbles under his breath, but Ginni can hear "So not fair, two pretty women, totally distracting me"
Anahita can totally encounter them now, or once they arrive at the library, if she so chooses
Works for me.
Still roaming around, Anahita seems to be finished in the infirmary, looking at this or that, unless the halls are practically sterile and boring, in which case, she's somewhat just .. walking along.
Perhaps exercising, or stretching her legs.
She does glance at the couple as they are heading exactly to where she appears to be going, the library.
With a polite nod, she greets them both as she goes in. "Good evening."

Lang Fei |

Midori was seated on the ground next to Hew-kun, looking on worriedly as Blackscales-sensei entered into Hew's mind. She had been quiet as Grim and Lang talked, but then when Lang approached and bowed, apologizing, she looked at him, her big eyes full of tears. "It's not your fault Lang-kun... I think it's mine. I think Hew-kun and Zilla-san we're fighting about me. You're all important to me." Midori looked back at the tranced Blackscales-sensei, looking as if she was about to burst into tears, but holding back through years of discipline and training.
Lang goes over and kneels next to Midori and Hew.
He looks to Midori sensing she is saddened He places his hand on hers and the other on Hew. He says nothing but the look of both concern and compassion
Lang's touch seem gentle, there is a sense of fear in his touch.

"Ace" |

Ace smiles a polite greeting. He seems to be in much better spirits than when you saw him last, and its obvious its due to the young lady with him. "Hi there, Uh...have we met, like officially?"

Tyrrin Denulia |

Upon entering the library, you may spot Tyrrin who is currently seated at a table working with what appears to be a length of yarn and a wooden hoop no larger than 4 inches in diameter.
As always, her dark blue-black hair is pulled into a prim and functional bun, and her garb is much the same - simple, plain colours (black is favoured), functional and modest cuts on the fabric. She wears no jewelry and no make-up, which means that the dark circles under her eyes are very plain - an indication that the elf girl is sleep deprived. Despite the evident sleep deprivation, Tyrrin's posture is perfect, and her hands work quickly at the weaving - or whatever it is that she is doing with the thread and hoop.
She does not look up from her work unless directly approached or called to, as she is very focused.

Anahita bint Tariq |

Pausing at the doorway into the library, Anahita looks back at the two, first Ace, then Ginni.
Her gaze first goes to faces, then any gear, observing the staff that Ace appears to carry with him.
"We have not. You and I share a course, earlier in the day." She seems to consider Ginni for a moment, glancing between the two, a faint smile forms on her expressive dark features.

Midori Tsuyomi |

Midori swallows her tears, blinking several times and taking comfort in the hand of her friend on her own. She takes a deep breath, quiet for a couple moments before suddenly breaking the silence. "Lang-kun... my Common is not perfect... what does the word 'hussy' mean?"

Lang Fei |

Lang looks at her with an odd look.
what? apparently taken a bit by suprise at the question.
he thinks a moment, lost in thought
I have no idea where that came from, I mean what is it, is it some unique power?
I really have no idea, I think I only heard it once when Master Hito had chased a woman from the temple. but I just thought that was her name.
the girl that struggles with common asking the monk that spent most of his life isolated in a temple.

Oneiro Mance |

Tyrrin, I can't pass up such an obvious link.
"Usually I'm the only with dark circles under my eyes around here." Oniero says as he picks a book from a nearby shelf and adds it to the others under his arms. Several have to do with geological studies focused on caves, earthquakes, and volcanoes. "Of course, I doubt your circles are as old as mine."

"Ace" |

He holds out his hand "Casil, or Ace, since my full name is long and hard to pronounce. Yea, we did share a class together earlier, I believe you were quite distracted by Johnny"

Tyrrin Denulia |

Tyrrin glances up at the drawl from the young boy, her hands stopping momentarily. "Ah.. good evening Mr. Mance." she was pretty sure that's what his name was anyway. She did try to learn them all, but there were alot of students. A cursory examination of his books and Tyrrin's eyes returned to meet the young man's. "Are you also suffering from insomnia?" she asked conversationally, not wishing to be rude.
A closer look at what Tyrrin is doing reveals that she appears to be wrapping the yarn around the hoop, while also occasionally stretching it across the empty section in the middle - having the effect of looking somewhat like a spider web in the center.

Anahita bint Tariq |

Glancing at the hand offered, Anahita doesn't go to shake, but puts a hand on her chest, fingers flayed outwards, bowing briefly saying, "Anahita."
She glances inside, hearing voices, then steps in a bit so's not to block the doorway for Ace and Ginni, adding, "The mutant, due to his, tek-no-logee, is disturbing, not distracting. I am unsure of what to think of it, yet. It pains me to look at."
She moves a bit in, further opening the path. A hint of curiosity forms on her face, as she peers between Ace and now the seated Tyrrin, with the sight of a new person, Oneiro.
Two groups, two attentions. She does her best to keep both in view.

"Ace" |

Ace looks a tad bit surprised by her description of Johnny "Mutant huh? That doesn't seem like a very nice thing to say about somebody. I don't think he's some sort of bizarre genetic offshoot"

Tyrrin Denulia |

Tyrrin gives him an odd sort of look, as if not quite believing that he didn't know her. He must not take a great interest in school events. "Tyrrin Denulia, at your service." she says primly. She had spotted Ace and Ginni at this point, along with the girl from the infirmary. The one Ehos had been so taken with. Anahita was her name, though Tyrrin had forgotten the rest of her long-winded introduction.
"I hope to remedy my insomnia this evening, Mr. Mance. What of yours? An excess of coffee perhaps?"

Anahita bint Tariq |

Ace looks a tad bit surprised by her description of Johnny "Mutant huh? That doesn't seem like a very nice thing to say about somebody. I don't think he's some sort of bizarre genetic offshoot"
"It is due to his .. Skin? He or she, it.. called it. Humans are not meant to shift in that manner, constantly. It is unnatural, thus the word mutant. I said that it was due to the tek-no-logee. Regardless, it is merely a word, Ace. Do my words so easily offend you?"
When she talks about it, it's clear that it bothers her, given her expression and gestures of the hands.
As for what he said, about 'very nice', she apparently has no response.

Tyrrin Denulia |

"If only it was something as simple as that." He laughs. "Your 'remedy' seems better than mine though. Safer at any rate. Mind if I join you, Miss Denulia? Company is a rare thing in the library at night."
"If you will, please. I would not mind some conversation. I suspect that we may have even more company shortly though, as those are some of my... companions at the entrance." she gestures with a hand over to the group speaking a little distance away - Ace, Ginni and Anahita.
"Your tone implies that there may be a story related to your insomnia. I would not mind hearing it, though you'll have to forgive me if I continue to work." And she is back at work, expertly weaving the thread through the required motion. With each iteration, the web at the center becomes more complicated.

"Ace" |

"Sticks and stones love" He says with a smirk "Just seems a bit judgmental, no? I mean, what's wrong with shifting gender, or shape for that matter?"

Anahita bint Tariq |

"Sticks and stones love" He says with a smirk "Just seems a bit judgmental, no? I mean, what's wrong with shifting gender, or shape for that matter?"
Another look, slightly sideways at Ace when he talks, Anahita merely gives him a slight nod and says, "The way you say it, nothing. The way I did, which apparently isn't what you are repeating, much is wrong with it, per my observations and opinion. If it is human, constantly changing it's shape is not something natural, nor do I believe it is an innate ability. Does this make sense?"
With a bit of a frown at Ace as Anahita glances briefly back to Tyrrin and then to Ace once more. He can tell she's perhaps getting a touch frustrated, at what, however, that isn't clear.

"Ace" |

"Truth. But how do you know Johnny is human? For that matter, how do you anybody you meet here, or elsewhere is?"

Anahita bint Tariq |

Anahita considers Ace for a few moments, and then says, calmly and plainly, "I have my senses given to me through my birth and experience. With those, I perceive and act. With that one, in particular Johnny, it is painful for my senses, painful for my thoughts. I would eventually adapt, but, that does not come immediately, it takes time. You are present to me, existing."
She then takes a breath and adds, "Why anyone would wear a mask here, of all places, in my years of experience, is .. beyond me. I feel it is cowardly, akin to being a thief that hides the truth. They are living a lie. Worse yet, they impose these lies on others. I do not lie in my life, nor do I impose lies on others. It is not necessary. Life is too sacred for that, there is beauty in truth."

"Ace" |

Ace shakes his head a bit sadly "I'm willing to bet nobody's ever hunted you down for who you were, huh? Killed your family, loved ones, friends, etc, not because they did any wrong, but just because they were different"

Anahita bint Tariq |

"Where I came from, all life hunts another life. You survive or you die. That is the nature of existence. So, yes, often. Monsters, demons, various creatures that simply wanted me dead because I was a human. Why?"
Anahita studies Ace for a bit, frowning at his expression, "You appear sad, around the eyes and such, what is wrong?"

Tyrrin Denulia |

"You have not been able to sleep for three years? You were certainly correct is your assesment of duration: your insomnia is considerably more protracted than my own."
Tyrrin smiles at the last comment, about simplicity leading to complexity. "That is the nature of the universe, things begin simple and become either more complex or more chaotic as time passes. So, elaborate if you will. It seems you have a remedy in mind, something less safe than a simple Dreamcatcher, you said. I imagine it has to do with these expeditions?"
Her hands continue to work at fabricating the Dreamcatcher, and she does occasionally glance towards her 'companions' near the entrance, just to ensure that all was well with them, but for the most part, her attention is focused on Oneiro.

"Ace" |

"Ah, but see you're talking about beings that are more or less pure evil. I'm talking about normal humans, who were full of religious zeal and righteous fury, hunting down families who did nothing other than exist, but were different."

Anahita bint Tariq |

"A hungry animal in the woods, that wants meat is not evil, but it still would hunt me for being human in it's lands. I do not speak of more of less pure evil. To define the existence of life by boundaries such as good and evil, is not my stated point."
She stands up a bit straight, glances at Ginni to make sure she's not completely drooling out of boredom, her attention now focused on Ace, since it appears this is of interest, her full interest.
"You speak as if you experienced these pains, being hunted, an anger in your voice against the humans that were full of religious zeal and righteous fury. Are you a guardian against such now? Or seeking vengeance? I would advise you to ignore the negative emotions of the experience, it does nothing to cultivate betterment in the long run, but rather, seek to empower and improve yourself and then others, to stand against such things. Those humans were only fearful and ignorant. Perhaps even tricked by some fiend with malicious intent. I must add though, I do not know your exact story, but if you wish to share more details for me, I will listen."

Ginni |

Ginni had had enough of the sophistry. She wasn't about sparring with words.
"Ana, what you said about Johnny was really mean. Also, you'll make a lot more friends if you stop judging people before you understand them even a little."
"Ace, I'm a little disappointed right now. As someone who's half 'pure evil' and has been treated pretty badly for it from the get go even though I'm not actually a demon myself, I don't really appreciate the way this conversation is perpetuating those kind of assumptions. From what I've seen monsters come in all shapes and sizes, humans included. Maybe some of those 'monsters' who attack humans just for being human are lashing out because humans hurt them or killed their loved ones. That kind of thing happens all the time. But you already know that. Maybe Ana doesn't. Since you really seem to be having trouble accepting that bit of reality there, Ana. They don't need to be tricked. Some of them come that way. Humans aren't any better than anybody else."
She sighed. "Whatever. I'm not into the whole war of words thing. I'm just gonna go do my work."
"Ana, I'm not opposed to being friends, but it's not gonna happen if you continue to go around calling people names."

Anahita bint Tariq |

Ginni had had enough of the sophistry. She wasn't about sparring with words.

But you already know that. Maybe Ana doesn't."
Anahita frowns at the accusation levied against her saying, "I am .. not judging. I observe, and act. Why does everyone claim I am judging? If you smelled smoke, would you not think fire? I do not sit on some bench and call out law, or decide things. I merely act, on my thoughts and feelings-- how is this any different than anyone else?"
Listening to the rest of what Ginni says, Anahita looks towards Ace then to Ginni, saying, "Your female companion speaks wisely, as I tried to share, evil is not evil, but fear and ignorance among those that do not know better, refusing to learn of new paths. It is a vicious cycle of violence, for no reason but violence, often. Perhaps even due to deities or other forces which we are not present too. This is why I said what I said."
Then she frowns again, lost in a thought.

"Ace" |

"Sorry Ginni. You're right, evil does come in all varieties, humans among them. I was just trying to defend Johnny, and those of us who might have a reason to not show their true nature, beyond lying and thievery. "
He then spots Tyrrin "Shall we go see what Ty is up to?"

Ginni |

"You said it yourself. Where there's smoke, there's fire. If you're getting a lot of people telling you they think you're judging, maybe the one who's in the wrong is you. And what I said and what you said. Not the same thing being said. You said evil is not evil. I said evil comes in all shapes and sizes. Not the same message. Look, if someone looked at you and called you a mutant, would you be offended? If the answer is yes, than you shouldn't talk about someone like that. That's just simple manners. When you don't stop and think about other people's feelings or experiences before you jump to conclusions, that's judging."
"I know from talking to you before that you're not actually a bad person. You seemed really nice before. But when you get all caught up in this language thing and with being right instead of understanding, you're not much fun to be around."

Ginni |

"Sorry Ginni. You're right, evil does come in all varieties, humans among them. I was just trying to defend Johnny, and those of us who might have a reason to not show their true nature, beyond lying and thievery. "
He then spots Tyrrin "Shall we go see what Ty is up to?"
"Yeah, that sounds good," she said, more than happy to let go of the debate and move on.

Anahita bint Tariq |

These words, ring true to Anahita as she stands there and listens. As the two probably walk off from her, she merely says, "I .. usually do not talk this much, really." She has a glance of doubt on her, and looking between the two, frowns. Probably an internalized thought.
She frowns at that. Frowns at some other thought, then nodding, a glance towards Tyrrin, then the other two, says, "I shall depart. It was.. interesting, to speak with you, both. Thank you for your console, Ginni." After her politeness, she heads outside, elsewhere.

Oneiro Mance |

"Correct. I'm in search of several items that should allow me to sleep again. I was five when I made a wish that allowed me to visit Agartha. A few years ago, I suddenly found myself unable to sleep and next to no memory of the day before. So I'm here at Avalon, trying to go to sleep and get my life back to normal. As a little kid I used to hate naps, but now I'd do almost anything to take one."

Star_Light |

Walking off, Anahita might be seen on one side of the hallway, fingers running along the walls, but no arrows form.
Apparently, she cannot think of where to go, or who to find. Her arm comes up and she keeps going regardless.
Starlight puts down the book and sees Anahita heading out the door,
Oo what was that all about? She zips off and pops up in front off Anahita
"Hello, what you a doing?"
Says the tinny fay, flying around Anahita head.

Anahita bint Tariq |

Sorry Spug, about to go to sleep too.
Looking up at Starlight, Anahita greets her kindly saying, "Hello little one, how are you this evening?"
Looking up and down the hallway, Anahita says, "I am not tired yet, I thought I would ..roam, explore. Perhaps go meditate with the night sky upon me. And yourself? Are you well?"
If Anahita had looked unfocused before, it's gone, addressing Starlight.

Tybalt Baneko |

"OK I'll be back in a bit. Don't go doing anything dumb while I'm gone." He glances around a bit and spots something in the corner of the room and looks at it for a moment before disappearing.
20 perception tells you it was a security camera.
He appears in the cafeteria fairly distracted and gets some food. More than usual.

Grim Jr. |

hopefully Grim will tell us when he's back. xD
"I see. Thank you anyway." she replies quietly, turning her hand over and gripping Lang's as she watches Hew-kun.
grim splutters and coughs, "she called you a hussy? Why?" He clears his throat "um a hussy is.. Er well it's kinda hard to explain.. It's not a nice thing um" by this point grim is heavily blushing "she was essentially calling you a whore..."

Johnny Panic |

He appears in the cafeteria fairly distracted and gets some food. More than usual.
You will see Johnny working away in the corning
Johnny waves at Ty and carry's on working, on the Data pad is in front of him is a complex 3d design.

Tybalt Baneko |

He walks over to johnny and set the tray down. He looks like he is seeing from two places at once and trying to pay attention to both. He glances over at johnny. "Hey, luv." He stops for a moment. "Why don't you have the amulet on? It keeps you from more cold than mine ya know."

Johnny Panic |

"I'm trying to work one a internal system to do the same thing Ty"
Johnny takes the amulet of the data pad,
"Thing is Ty it interferes with my other internal systems, so I was trying to find a way to scan it and understand just how it dos what it dos, to replicate it in tech you know, but not used to magic, so its taking some time."
Johnny looks at Ty
"Are you OK, your seem some what distracted?"

Tybalt Baneko |

"Does this help?" He reaches over and sets his paw on the side of Johnny's face "Do you mind? I can show you the colors it has. That might help some.
